I must confess, relaxing cute videos like these make me anxious because it's like someone rubbing how perfect their life is in my face, BUT, I don't feel like that with your videos, it's relaxing, beautiful, but still real, still human, and that's why I'm subscribed. Thanks for sharing your lifestyle with me. It's pretty much how I imagine myself when I have my own house. And hey! I've read The hidden life of trees and it was awesome! I finished most of it on the bus to college and I looked at all the trees and they felt more like friends. Hug from Brazil ^,^
I believe there is something quite noteworthy to be admired in everyone's lives. I am particularly skilled with a camera and am, therefore, able to capture the magic of my life. And then I receive encouragement from kind people like you and my life seems ever more magical ✨ Do not be fooled though, I spend 20+ hours on each and every one of these videos. I have learned my best angles and how to show more of the content that people enjoy seeing. It is my life, but it's all the good parts. They're genuine and heartily felt! But there's plenty of not-so-noteworthy moments to. I'm so so very glad my videos help you to relax 💛 I'm cheering for you and your happy, beautiful, noteworthy life
Recently I've been loving watching your videos in the mornings while slowly drinking my coffee. I've discovered that they make me calm and help me relax before going to work. After watching your video I feel like I've been on the vacation in some beautiful place. My heartbeat is slowed down, I can feel the sun and wind you had when you were outside... Thank you. And btw, you live in such a gorgeous place. I love all that greenery, and I love trees so much.
It feels like such a treat when I see that you have posted a vlog. I get all the warm and cozy vibes. Love that you found such beautiful reading spots 🌿🌸 I have also been rereading some comfort reads. 💗📖
A beautiful video, Morgan! You have such a magical home✨ You introduced me to Mary Olivers poetry and I absolutely love it! Thank you so much💕 I already read A Thousand Mornings and I ordererd Devotions. Very excited for it to arrive😊 A Gentleman in Moscow is a very beautiful story, I read it earlier this year. I'm sure you will love it too❤️
How do I express the joy that fills my heart every time I watch your videos, Morgan? I have so much to thank you for, foremost being the renewed enthusiasm to read and to strive for a cosy, calm and joyous mindset as often as I can. May you always find strength and happiness 🌼🤍
I just found you whilst searching for reading vlogs! You have the most stunning outdoor area ever! Your videos are so calming and fill me with joy, so thank you! ❤️
This was really lovely to watch. I've had a gentleman from Moscow for a while, someone leant it to me - now I really want to read it! I just bought my first Mary Oliver poetry collection thanks to you as well ❤️ the tree book sounds fascinating.
Dear Morgan, I random discovered you and your channel last night. What a wonderful charisma, aura and soul! If only there were many more people like you in this wonderful world. Thank you! Greetings from Hamburg, Mone
I really hope you enjoy Devotions when you read it!! I certainly wondered how it took me so long to find Mary Oliver’s poetry but I’m so glad it came into my life when it did ✨
Damn, your videos are so inspiring and chill. That's talent to be able to do that so well ♥ It's hard for me to calm down but your videos are really really great!
Hello Morgan! I'm not used to comment on RU-vid videos like this, but I felt a need to share with you how much I love your videos, you have inspired me to read more and to feel happiness with little things, thank you for that! You are a precious human being 💛
Mary Oliver always writes such uplifting poetry and prose. I'd never heard of the hidden life of trees! Thanks for telling us about it. A beautiful, calming vlog, as always! (Also showering in the evenings and braiding your hair or putting it in a bun is vastly underrated. You can get the best waves that way!)
Abigail Konig thank you!! I use a website called Artlist for all of my music. Unfortunately, many of the songs are not available on Spotify or iTunes. To make up for this, I did a 1hr read with me video with all my favorite songs from my videos. I’m planning on doing another soon!
Amazed at how you capture the most beautiful moments, it's almost poetic. Nice patio and garden too! Thanks for reminding us to make time for the things we love.
Hello lovely Morgan 🥰🌻At the beginning of your videos, I sit with such anticipation in front of my cell phone and look at it with a smile and an inner satisfaction ... and when the video ends ... I think it's a shame that it's already over. ..😉😊but it makes me happy and usually watch it a second or third time (with a smile on my face) BIG Hugs ...your Steffi 🦋😉
Hello, sweet Steffi! Your comments always make my heart smile 💛 I know exactly what you mean about the anticipation and then wanting more when the video is finished- I feel this way about other RU-vidrs and I’m honored it’s how you feel about my videos! Thank you for being such a loyal friend 🤗 BIG hugs, Morgan
A Gentleman in Moscow was easily one of my favourite reads this year! I feel like it's very aligned with your channel, too - seeing the beauty in and making the most of life, even in the tough times :)
As always you bring such positivity and joy into my life. Love how Mr. Roo had to join in on your workout lol. When you described Girl Online as a holiday hallmark movie for middle school, I was instantly sold on it as I also love hallmark holiday movies. I also will have to check out Devotions, poetry is always so comforting to me.
I have just finished reading A Gentleman in Moscow and absolutely adored it, I hope you have the time to finish it yourself. Your garden is beautiful, those rhododendron's are amazing. Congratulations for surpassing 5000 subscribers, I'm sure that's a 1000 more than last week. So well deserved :)
I was able to read 9 books this month along with a few of Hans Christian Andersen stories. Never have I ever done that before and I’m super proud! 🙂 I’ve been wanting to read A Gentleman in Moscow and glad to hear you’re loving it! 📚
Watching your videos is so relaxing ! You seem to be very well organized and you don't seem to waste your time as I'm used to. You're such an inspiration in your way of life. My reading goal is to read at least 12 books but I always read more. Ps: I love the songs and more specifically the last one !
Thank you so much, Cynthia! I certainly haven't always been this organized. I fell into a really deep hole after I graduated college and was at a loss for what to do with my life. Finding RU-vid and becoming a Videographer has given me a sense of purpose and I'm now excited to be productive! It all comes and goes in waves 💛
congratulations on hitting 5k!! well deserved :) i listened to the audiobook for the gentlemen in moscow and it was fascinating! and isnt caring for your plants the most relaxing thing? seeing them grow makes me happy. x
I didn’t even think about the audiobook for A Gentleman in Moscow- I bet it’s wonderful! I do agree that caring for houseplants is a special kind of peace 🌿 Thank you so much, Leonie, for your ongoing positivity ✨ x
@@MorganLong I randomly saw it on scribd! I am rediscovering my love for historical fiction! :) Since I live alone and am not allowed to keep a bet, plants are the next best thing! Also regarding childhood favs - did you hear about the new netflix adaptation of the chronicles of narnia?? I AM SO EXCITED
Morgan, your garden reminds me of The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I really want to reread that book, but it's so difficult to get it because I want a particular cover. Haha. If it's about a secret garden, I want a garden on the cover, of course!
I actually haven’t ever read The secret Garden!! I recently thought about it and decided I wanted to read it, so I’m not surprise you’ve mentioned it 😊 Now I have to read it before the new adaption! 🌿✨
Hello Mo, I'm from Argentina. Have recently subscribed to your channel and am now binge watching all your past videos. They're very inspiring! Also, you've inspired me to finally read Wildwood - got it for my birthday 5 years ago!- now that thanks to your beautiful images I can see how Portland looks and picture the characters in that environment! Espero que estés teniendo una hermosa semana. Ah y feliz cumpleaños atrasado! Besos! ;)
You too the time to do something you and that is definitely better than nothing!! I need to actually increase my reading goal because now that I am home from college for the summer I am definitely going to surpass 25 books! You inspired me to download the Harry Potter audiobooks! It’s a series I’ve physically read 5 times but I think the audiobooks will give me a new perspective!! Also lovedddd when you showed us the Mary Oliver poems, I need to take out one of her books!! Thank you so much for this gorgeous video!
Thank you so much, friend! I really hope you've enjoyed the Harry Potter audiobooks! I'm already nearly finished with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix! Also, I so so so highly recommend Mary Oliver's Poetry! A Thousand Splendid mornings is a great collection
Can't stress enough on every video how much of a breath of fresh air they are and love these weekly vlogs as it shows even more how motivated you are and how you can squeeze bits of happiness into everyday life. You're doing amazing ! So happy your work is looking up xx Ps you should soo do a lookbook 😏as love your style ♥️or I'd love a How I Got Into Reading video🤗
Thank you so much, Ellie!! I’ve just recorded a thank you video and of course mentioned your name because you always leave such wonderful comments ❤️ I will definitely do a look book!! Just need to gather the confidence first 💃🏼 I also love the idea of a “How I got into reading” video!
Amazing video as always. I'm currently 9 books behind on my reading goal, but I'm not worried. I'm a teacher and summer starts very soon, so I'll have lots of time. Take care!
I’m so excited for you and all the reading time you will have!! Also, thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to all the young minds out there!
okay i’ve realized i say something like this on all your videos but this video was exactly what i needed rn!!!😂 it made me laugh and smile, and you have such a lovely soul, your videos just feel like hanging with a friend🥺 i hope you are doing alright!:) also i need to read gentleman in moscow! i’m hoping to borrow it from my brother soon:) and PS, whenever you need a new middle grade book to read, i think you’d really like the bookwanderers by anna james☺️
Oh, I'm so excited for you to finish The Hidden Life of Trees! That was our end-of-the-year book club book for my creative writing class last year. Haven't looked at trees the same since! Hope you're well :)
Hello. I'm a new subscriber and film RU-vidr. My wife and I enjoy your videos so much. She's a reader and I love movies (especially older movies, foreign films, Criterion Collection films) and we both find your videos so relaxing and inspirational. We just ordered and received Devotions by Mary Oliver and are looking forward to enjoying that book together based on your recommendation. We also love your film technique and music selection. Thanks for the amazing content and best of luck on your growing channel.
I'm also reading Gentleman right now and have he same feelings and thoughts about it. The Count is such a great character and his circumstances indeed hit close to home
I love how you incorporate the nature around your house in your videos, it's really peaceful 🌱 I think you would love the universitey I'm studying at in Sweden. Its called SLU and I'm studying to be a landscape engineer. Our campus is located in a small town called Alnarp, just outside of Malmö, and its basically just a huge park and woodland area filled with all sorts of trees and plants, and they're all tagged with latin names so we students can go around and study the scientific names. Its a beautiful place to get lost in with a botanical garden-feel and secret woods-feel to it, and a huge castle covered in wisteria in the middle and it's just magical and very Hogwartsie. It's my favourite place and it has really changed my relationship to nature and we learn so much about how to build and take care of green spaces. It's free to visit and the park and woods is open to the public as well, so when the world is back to normal and if you want to visit Sweden, I think you would fall in love with Alnarp 🥰 🌳
This place sounds absolutely magical!! I’m so glad you’ve rekindled your love for nature and that you’ve found a way to design your life with it 🌿 I’m going to look at pictures of your magical school now! Hugs, friend
@@julie7035 Ja, jag är svensk! It is truly amazing and you should defintely visit and not far from Denmark, om du är dansk 😉 In Malmö I would suggest MJ's, a great hotel near central station. So nice and uniqe place, great food as well. Alnarp is very tiny, basically just the campus. But I would stay in Malmö and take the bus out to Alnarp.. Only takes 20 min :)
I'm a new subscriber here, and just love your channel. I can relate so much to having a handful of books on the go. However, you've been inspiring me to put down my phone bad habit of scrolling, and pick up one of my books to make progress. Please though, could you tell me what beautiful music you're playing whilst you're under your tree? At the 16:35 minutes in. It sounds like in a romantic Italian movie, I would like to find it to play whilst I'm reading. Thank you for your beautiful channel. Greetings from across the 🌏 ocean in Western Australia to you. 📚📖🌳🌿🎻💜
You have so many books on the go at once 🤯 I cannot do that Haha On another note I was wondering how your patreon was coming along 😊 On yet another note you have such a beautiful view from your veranda 😍 those tree tops!
That’s a great amount of reading you did! You always have such nice outfits. Maybe you could do a look book type video some time! Do you know where your stripey tshirt dress and your checked culottes are from? ☺️
Thank you!! I feel honored that you consider my outfits worthy of a look book! The striped dress is actually from target and I found the culottes in a second hand shop 🤗
I download all of my songs from a music licensing website called Artlist. Unfortunately, when I download the music, the artist and/or name of the song isn't actually listed. I've also tried making playlists on Spotify and iTunes, but many of the songs aren't available there. To make up for this, I've mad an hour long video of me reading with music from my videos playing nonstop. I'm actually making another one this weekend!
