it is truly insane the fact that the tittle of the book is “a good girl’s guide to murder” but we never guessed she was going to do just that…holly jackson really had us fooled
@@joa2332 I was just a minute into the vlog, katie did not mention that it was filled with spoilers at that point. your comment was the second one that came up. How about a "sorry" instead of an attitude?
The fact that the fist book name is “ a good girls guide to murder “ and in the last book she committed a murder and thought us how to hide that like it was guide it’s insane , holly Jackson it’s really a genius
As Good as Dead is one of my favourite book endings ever. I don't know why main character regression/ questioning their morals doesn't happen more often....people love morally grey side characters, but whenever a (usually girl) MC goes through the regression trope, people get mad. Pippa's journey is one of my favourites! I think the reason the second book feels a little different is because there is way less Ravi, and the stakes aren't as high as books 1 and 3 for Pip herself. Good Girl, Bad Blood was needed for us to see how Pip could go from the start of book 1 to how she ended the series being. Spoilers (unpopular opinion??) I'm happy Pip got away with framing Max and killing Jason. Neither of them would've faced jail time, or very little of it for what they did to innocent women. I'll forever be a Pip defender.
1) HAHHAHA loved the cat playing with the bookmark 2) Omg the way the those 90 pages of good girl bad blood just changed the whole face of the book, so brilliant now i want to reread it. I was literally crying at the end book bc of everybody hating on child Brunswick and how it got connected back to when everybody hated on Ravi Singh. Definitely did not expect to cry on a mystery novel tbh.
watching you read as good as dead brought back the stress of reading it, but somehow only a fraction of the stress still. i'm glad you enjoyed the series! it's one of my all time favourite series. when i read as good as dead, that message from ravi broke me.
Y’all I just read killjoy and OH MY GOD, the foreshadowing of pip thinking about HER CHARACTER(Celia’s) MOTIVES FOR MURDER AND THE POSSIBILITY OF HER BEING THE KILLER and her intense, kinda scary, obsession with it being too easy, reflecting on the morally gray character she becomes in as good as dead ADFJLKHG BN
I was actually so surprised by the last book! The second one was also my least favorite, but the last one got me again! So conflicted about Pip getting away with it
32:06 imagine pip is so far in the delusion of having to solve the kidnapping that she forgot that the guy originally asked her to help find his brother was actually just playing hide and seek
I'm glad u enjoyed the series. I rated Kill Joy 5 stars bc of the last part of chapter 11 when Pip split the word kill joy. That's when I realized that Pip was the killjoy in the game. All the supposed answers Jamie was reading, while it made sense it was still the wrong answers and the true murderer is still on the loose. Which is a nod to the whole series. Holly Jackson is a genius imo.
I love how Andie was reeeeally similar to Alison from Pretty Liittle Liars i was like 👀 are we going to find out that she was alive this whole time ??🤣
*spoilers* When I was reading the last book, I was a little disappointed that after we read Andie’s email, it’s obvious that the DT killer was Jason. But I did not expect him to abduct Pip and for her to murder him lmao
Them thinking it was the officer after reading that they ate dinner together every night pissed me off. Like how could you be so smart the entire time, figuring out the hardest clues but you mess up the most obvious one.
I love this series sm and I'm so excited for the TV series coming out pretty soon! We don't have a date yet, but it's based on the og UK edition of the first book (which is surprisingly different to the US edition- you guys are missing some content over in the states!) You should watch it when it comes out! Emma Myers is Pip :D
I'm seriously hooked! 🔥🕵♀ Reading the entire Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series in one go? That's some next-level dedication! 🙌✨ I've been dying to dive into that series myself, and your vlog has me even more pumped to get started. Your cozy reading setup had me all jealous 😍Sending you all the positive bookish vibes! 📚✨🌟
Omg when you said you hated ant and Laura as well I screamed cause I was also wanting to square up with them also like the nerve they had during that chapter made me so angry 😂
Ahhhh! I’ve been so excited for this vlog and it definitely didn’t disappoint! I read this series back in March and I really enjoyed it so it was really nice to hear your thoughts on it. My favorite book in the series was definitely A Good Girls Guide To Murder, though I did love finding out exactly how all the mysteries were connected by the end. Also, the way you edited this video is just immaculate 🤌🏾 I enjoyed every minute of it.
This is definitely my favorite thriller series (one of the first I've ever picked up)... I actually started it while in hospital 🥲 and it got me through a lot... but honestly this series is a full five-star for me, just because of how it kept me guessing from start to finish, and how everything ties together as Katie mentioned... I definitely agree that the series just gets more and more unhinged as it goes along 🤣 and As Good As Dead thoroughly traumatized me and educated me in the art of getting away with murder 😅 but I still loved it so much ! I'm glad you finally picked it up and enjoyed it nearly as much as I did 🤗💛 Keep up the brilliant content !
my mistake was reading agggtm as the first book since getting back into reading as a teenager. I have tried, and I'm not sure that any other book series will make me feel the way agggtm does. I fell into such a slump after because I couldn't find another book that didn't pale into comparison to this book
Really liked this series the last one was a stand out for me! I know it’s a bit divisive some people don’t like it but I just loved it! Been waiting for you to pick these up!
Ahhh Katie I'm so so happy to see you enjoyed this series! It's one of my all time favourite series and it gave me SO much joy while reading it. I was so glad to see you also liked it 😊
Thank you for the recap of the first book I read it a while ago and finished it and I’m just now staring the second book so I wanted a slight recap on what happened 😂❤
Going to put the video in my watch later list. I still want/have to read the books and don't want spoilers. So I will be watching it after I read the books.
I debated stopping halfway through too but I promise you the scariness isn’t too much and the second half of the book is soooo worth the scariness of the first half!!!
@EmilyLovesBooks not really about the scariness, i just couldn't be convinced, that whole thing about pip killing him and all that she decided to do and etc, it got too unbelievable for me haha
@@carlinemagalhaes8923 ohhhh really?! I mean, do I think someone could get away with murder in real life the way they did, probably not, but I think Holly Jackson did so well with explaining every little detail of how they were attempting to do it. And the fact that even the main character refused to believe she got away with it until Max was sentenced made it pretty believable to me.
I am currently trying to read the 2nd and 3rd book of this series so will make another comment of what I thought of the whole series but from the first book I feel like it is going to be a four star series but I can't wait to read more of The Natural series.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER ⛔️⛔️ can't believe that I've just finished the serie the third book was different beautiful The last message from Ravi was❤️🔥❤️🔥 I was so excited to read the final book in the serie, pip has taken a great porch of my life as I've been reading and following what happened from the first book to the last one , I got intrigued very well ,simpthsised with her after the stanely scene and what happened ,that she couldn't sleep unless if she take some pills from Luke ,I gave it foor stars cause I suspected at first that andie's father was the Dt killer but after getting Daniel to the story I completely forgot about him , the first scene when pip was sitting in the coffe and all of her friends came was fulfilled with love ❤️🔥the kidnapping scene was so good terrifying ,I loved the scene between Cara Naomi and pip trying to make an alibi, and the scene with Detective Hawkins investigating pip and talking about her ... was actually the best 👌 and finally Max's arrest and the talking with Daniel I was actually sad cause we suspected Daniel for everything 😔
This might be an unpopular opinion but…I found Pip’s personality in “Kill Joy” a little annoying like I get it was a prequel to AGGGTM and she was a good kid but idk she was just kinda annoying with worrying about lying (it’s a murder mystery party and if your the murderer your supposed to lie???) and also with homework, but other than that Kill Joy is a pretty good book to just have a break from real murder
Hey Katie! Loved the vlog, this series is one of my favorites! You should do more videos with spoilers 😊 Have you heard of ‘one of us is lying’? I think it’s really good too! Love from Portugal ☺️
I just finished the first book and I'm gonna order the rest of the series. It was so good and I knew it was Becca from the beginning I just didn't know why I thought it was her
This series scared the crap out of my 14-year-old self, but I do remember loving it tho 😂. Would be fun to give it a reread and see what I think about it now ( currently 18 years old) 😜😂.
Connor annoyed the shit out of me on the 2nd book....and Daniel Da Silva is the worst cop ever and have the audacity to get mad when people do his job...like the fuck
AGGGTM is one of my favourite books of this year! Kill Joy was nice too, a solid 3.5 star read for me, however I really didn't like Good Girl Bad Blood and decided not to read As Good As Dead and just look up what happens and watch the spoilery vlogs 😔😔
I loved the whole series, but the last book lost me a little because like…why did she not just put a camera up to see who was leaving the figures outside her house
I honestly feel like the only person who liked killjoy (it wasn’t my favourite but it was good) Spoilers! Just a bit sad the game was too simple for pips massive brain
