Oh, I do hope you read it. I think you'll really enjoy it. 😁 I didn't know people hiked the whole trail until I read the book. 😂 Apparently, I live under a rock. 😂😂🤣❤️
I agree with your mom about Tess 😂 I read that for a British novel course and I don’t think I'll ever pick up Thomas Hardy again. I really want to read The Woman in White. And A Walk for Sunshine sounds wonderful.
Tammy! You hadn't even finished talking about A Walk For Sunshine before I opened a new tab and found it available both in OpenLibrary and Hoopla :) How did you know I have always wanted to read about the Appalachian Trail? Cuz we're book twinsies, that's how. Now that you have given me a stellar recommendation for one and mentioned me by name too, I'm gonna squeeze it in soon. Your recommendations are the gold standard for me. Naming your daughter after a book! I love that. I named my oldest Antigone. When people ask about her name, she usually starts, "Well, you see, my mom was a hippie and...." I was not a hippie. ha I was a feminist. Tess, Tess, sweet poor Tess. I love Tess. And so glad you did too so that you'll read more Hardy. I've also read Jude (big BIG heartbreak). Hardy is one of those authors I want to read of all his novels. Your videos bring me joy.
Aww, Dagmoon... ❤️ Your COMMENTS bring me joy, too. I can't wait to hear what you think of A Walk for Sunshine. I just know you'll love it. My book twinsie ESP knows this. 😉 I want to read Hardy's books to zero as well. Buddy reads??? 🤔😁
You had a great month! That is so sweet one of your daughters is named after one of you favorite book characters. My favorites for August were A New Dawn at Owl's Lodge (Yorkshire Wolds #2) and Bout to Dye in Birmingham (Cousins Cozy Mysteries #1)
You read a lot of interesting books in August. I used to watch a You Tube channel Following Redbeard where he documented walking the Appalachin Trail. He met a lot of people along the way too. It was very interesting. He also documented walking the Pacific Crest Trail which is much different. My favorite reads in August are No Paw To Stand On by Laurie Cass, A Cup of Flour, A Pinch of Death by Valerie Burns, and the Amulet graphic novel series (all 9 books) by Kazu Kibuishi.
Bob here. Thanks for letting us know about Redbeard's videos. We're going to watch some of his videos. Has he written any books about his hiking adventures? I would like to follow up checking out!
@@Annnbob Hi Bob! You're welcome! I hope you enjoy Redbeard's videos as much as I do. It's sounded very similar to the book you and Tammy read but in video form. I'm not sure if he has written any books but I doubt it. Getting out on the hikes seems to be his thing.
I was planning to read Northanger Abby last month but decided to wait until Victober. Tess is on my pile to read soon. Woman in White is one on my Amazon wish list.
Oh, please, Please, PLEASE let me know what you think of all 3 books, Fernie, ok? I would love to know your thoughts. Any chance you might start a booktube channel in the future? I have a feeling you and I have a lot of common reading tastes. I'd love to watch your videos. 😉😁
Estherjane here. I love Viola Shipman! But I would like to suggest a book that you and your Dad might like that I loved and the author has a sequel too and other books Walk Across America by Peter Jenkins. I loved this book and it inspired me to read the sequel Walk Across America II, and the Road Unseen. He also has a few with his wife Barbara who he might on his walk. Also the story of his dog Cooper. I think you and your Dad would like them😊
I haven't heard of either of these books, but apparently, my dad has one of them I can borrow. I know he and I will want to read the sequel, too. Thank you so much for letting us know about them and also the other books. ❤️❤️❤️
What a great video!!! I can't wait to read The Hope Chest! I loved The Charm Bracelet by him! I will be starting A Walk For Sunshine tomorrow! Your dad has Walking Across America you can borrow, but I didn't know there waa sequal We can buddy read it sometime.
