AHHH YOU READ MY STORY! Also unfortunately I did not catch his name but I don't know if he's in jail or not. I feel like he was probably released because he didn't ACTUALLY kidnap anyone. Still creepy. I quit that job a while ago though so no more creepy call center experiences for me!

Q:If there is syrup on your car roof, what do you do? A: Leave it there, there might be someone watching you. Q:If there is something on your windshield, what do you do? A: Get inside your car, lock the doors, and turn the windshield wipers. If you try to wipe it off from the outside, someone could abduct you while youre wiping it off. Q: If a stranger asks you to smell something, what do you do? A:Do not smell it. There could be something in it youre either A. allergic to or B. something that could knock you out. Once youre knocked out, they might abduct you. Q: If someone asks you to eat something, what do you do? A: This one might be obvious, but do not eat it. There could be something poisonous in it or something youre allergic to. Q: If someone asks you to look at a picture of something, (their pet, a drink, etc.) what do you do? A: Do not look at it. Tell them that you are busy. If you do look at it, someone could take your from behind. THESE ARE IMPORTANT THINGS EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW

See this is what makes me so freaking mad! It's bad enough people have to deal with random weirdos like this, but your employer is SUPPOSED to make sure their employees are safe while they're working. And when they do nothing, this just shows these freaks that they can get away with it! That grocery store should have been sued for sure for allowing that man back in the store after the second time. Glad she moved on. I work at a grocery store and would never deal with that (and I've dealt with some weirdos, but not to that level). This is the 21st century, no one should be in danger trying to work. Thank you Courtney for bringing these subjects to light and giving people a voice.

I am 17 and I work carryout at a pizza place in my town. I usually just answer phones, take orders, and work the register until about 10-10:30 at night. I love my job but there is definitely a lot of crazy people that come in and I have lots of wacky stories. Because it’s family owned and very old, there are a lot of customers that are weekly visitors so it is common to talk to them and make conversation while they wait for their food. One night this man came in wearing a suit and tie and holding a beer. He looked like he was about mid 30s and definitely in shape. I figured he wandered over from the bar and wanted to order a pizza to take home so I asked if he was picking up. He told me he hadn’t ordered yet but he would order now and wait there with me. I said that it would be about 20 minutes so he could sit in the bar if he wanted and I would bring it out when it’s ready but he insisted on waiting up front. Keep in mind the restaurant closes at 10:30 and it was 10:25. (We have to take orders until close) he was our last order for the night so I told the kitchen to rush the order because everyone wanted to get home. I was the only one working up front and as I was cleaning up for the night he was asking me questions about when I work. He said that he comes in a lot and I looked new. (I have worked there for 6 months) I didn’t give him specifics on my schedule but he continued to ask personal questions such as where I live, what school I go to, my age, even if my hair color was natural and if I was wearing makeup. I was very uncomfortable and just when I went to get the pizza from the kitchen he left. He had already paid for the pizza but never picked it up. There was 20 dollars on the counter and a napkin that said “keep the pizza and the tip. I’ll be back tomorrow” I had one of the bartenders walk me to my car and told my boss immediately. They checked the tapes and saw that he sat outside for 20 minutes walking around the parking lot on the phone before leaving and the bartenders said that they have never seen him before. The next night he came back and talked to one of the other girls in carryout and asked if I was working. I told them to tell him I was not and I hid in the kitchen while my manager came to the front asking why he needed to see me. He said I was sweet and he only wanted me to take his order. They told him I was not working and he became very angry so they asked him to leave. The next time I saw him was a week later. He came in right before close and said he didn’t want to order anything he just wanted to talk. I was the only one working so I had a friend from the kitchen stand up front with me while another one went and got the manager. I said we were closing and I had to lock the doors so he would have to leave. He said he would wait outside for me and walk me to my car but I said he did not have to do that as I would be a while because I had to clean up. He said he didn’t care and that he would wait. When my managers came up front they told him he would have to leave and that he could not wait for me or they would call the cops. He got very angry once again and threw a beer bottle on the ground outside the entrance and left. I haven’t seen him since and all of the girls know to tell a manager if he ever comes back.

Human trafficking story: for 2 years I was stalked by an old man who followed me around town for 2 years. At this time I didn't have my license, nor a car so I had to walk & bus all over the city. No matter where I was, he'd pull up & ask me for directions... For 2 years!! I started taking pictures & became friendly with some officers who were patrolling the areas I was in weekly. I showed pictures & make & model of the SUV & physical description of him. When I knew it was sex trafficking was when I exited a bus downtown & saw him talking to a group of guys who looked like Johns & they started calling out to me... I look up & He's in the SUV talking to these guys pointing at me while honking his horn & waving at me. The last time I saw him was the day my dad gave me his gun & I told the man if I saw him again, I'd have him killed or arrested. I never saw him after that. My now fiancé said if I ever see him again he wants to know immediately. One of the cops said the guy was harassing another girl who looked similar to me & 6 weeks after talking to the cop she went missing. I gave all the info i had on the guy & my pics because her 911 Call in was identical to mine... My biggest fear was/is getting chloroformed & never seeing my 4 sons & fiancé again...

IN CASE YOU WANT TO DO MORE VIDEOS ON THIS(which i think we would all enjoy): ME and two of my friends were walking back to my friends house around 10:30 at night. One of my friends was playing music through a speaker which i now realize is super dumb, but at the time i didn’t think it was that loud. My other friend and I saw a lady in all black walk near the other side of the street and we could barely see her so much so the other girl with us didn’t even see her. I swear an angel saved us because we were talking and one of my friends turned down the speaker to hear us better and we heard running footsteps behind us. i turned around and saw the woman sprinting after us so we ran as fast as we could. As she was running the lady was screaming “HELP ME HELP ME I NEED HELP” she obviously didn’t need help because she had passed us a couple minutes earlier. thankfully we were near a different friends house and stood in their backyard for a couple of minutes before we sprinted through the woods in order to go home. we didn’t even realize what had happened until one of the girls facetimed her older sister and she told us about the human trafficking reports all over our county. we told my friends parents and they took us driving around the neighborhood looking for the lady so we could report. i still think what would have happened if my friend wouldn’t have turned her music down. it’s also crazy to think that a women would do that to other women

So about the first story she read,I have the same experience. I was only like 13 or 14 at the valley plaza mall(in Bakersfield) when some ladies came up to us telling us about this free bible study and asking us a bunch of questions.we thought it was kinda weird but didnt think much of it until I got home and started reading a story on how this happened to multiple people and that it was actually a sex trafficking ring. Please be aware of this and stay safe whenever you are out. And if you ever see kids or teens or anyone in need of help or seem uncomfortable in a situations I urge you to help. I know I would have definitely appreciated it in that situation😁

I’m gonna share this story that I had. It was a summer day, and I was just sitting on my couch, reading a book. Keep in mind, I was home alone. I heard a knock on the front door, but I didn’t answer it (because I’m always careful.) I carefully peaked through the blinds, and saw a scruffy man standing outside my front door. I backed away from the blinds in the living room, and walked up the stairs into my bedroom. My room is on the front of our house, and it has a window that can see out driveway. Once I was in my room, I peaked through the blinds again carefully, so he couldn’t see me. The man didn’t see me, but he kept knocking. His red rusty truck was parked in our driveway, and I had no idea who he was. After about 5 to 7 minutes of persistent knocking, he walked into the middle of the driveway , and pulled out his phone. This part creeped me out, and I still to this day do not know what his plans were. He took a few pictures of the front of our house, and stood there, texting someone. After a few minutes, he got in his car and drove away. I do not know what he was going to do if I answered the door, but I am glad I didn’t.

Not really the same, but when I worked in a restuarant this group of drunk guys noticed me working from the street (think I smiled at them from inside the restuarant because the doors were wide open and the footpath is right there, plus I tend to smile at people if they smile at me) and started yelling shit at me (really sexually inappropriate and weird things in front of a lot of people) so they made me to go the back and wait til they left. Happened multiple times. Like what the fuck is wrong with people (I was 17). Would often finish shifts late at night and those experiences made me so uncomfortable when it came to walking home (which wasn't often, thank God)

when i was 14 and my sister was 8 we heard the ice cream truck outside and told our parents we were going to grab some ice cream. we ran outside and noticed a white van but it wasn’t until it got closer that we realized it wasn’t the actual ice cream man. the van abruptly stopped after it noticed us and two men on either side started to get out. i remember my heart immediately dropped to my stomach until i noticed my parents coming out of our house towards us. i grabbed my little sister’s hand and we began to run over to them while i screamed for my mom. as soon as the men noticed our parents were there they dipped so fast and almost on cue the actual ice cream truck came around the corner. after that my mom told me she’s heard stories of vans pretending to be an ice cream truck by driving blocks in front of them and then abducting kids. she had a bad feeling and went to check on us. i’m 21 now and whenever i think about it it still terrifies me. i’m always very cautious of my surroundings now.

A story of what happened to my friend ( from her perspective): One day after school, I was walking home. My house was only like 2 blocks from my school, so I never thought that anything bad would happen. Anyways, as I’m walking home, a white van approaches me. It’s pretty obvious of what a white van means, so thank gosh I ran all of the way back to my house. No one was home. I thought that I was safe because I didn’t see the van whenever I turned around. I was in my room watching RU-vid for like 10 minutes. The video that I watched ended, and then I heard banging on my front door. I froze, and sat on my bed until it stopped. Then I called my mom but she didn't answer. I was about to call the cops, but then everything just went silent so I thought maybe it was just Amazon or something. (Yes, I know that was a very stupid thing to think lol.) But then I heard my kitchen window break open. I immediately went into the hall closet because you could hide in it very easily. I eventually called the cops. They told me that they would be there in less than a minute. Then I heard footsteps approaching the closet. I stopped breathing. The closet door opened, but thankfully it was the cop. If I would have called the cops any later than when I did, I probably would have died.

one time back in august, my friends and i had gone out ( we are all 21 and 21+) so of course we had some drinks... one of the girls i was out w that night had said some guys had invited us out to eat and that it was on them, the rest of us were like no we are not interested and that was that. the bars closed at 2 and we were on our way to drop off one of the girls and after that we were going to go the one of the other girls house so her bf could drive the rest of us home. we dropped off that one friend and proceeded to the other girls house when all of a sudden she began saying that we were being followed, there were 4 of us (girls) in the car and at first we thought she was just exaggerating and told her to just drive. and again she said guys they’re following us and it was a red truck and that’s when one of the other girls turned around and confirmed that we were being followed. if the driver made a turn, the truck would make the same turn at first we thought maybe they live in the neighborhood or maybe it was the guys that had invited us out to eat which is still creepy. at that point the girl that was driving thought that maybe it could also be her bf bc he was out that night as well so she calls him and asks him why are you following to which he responds that he’s not, and that he’s w a friend that has a completely different car than the one following us. she tells him that we are being followed and her bf was like don’t come home meet up w me at the church close by to the house, at this point she was making crazy turns to lose the truck and we thought we did lose them and ended up in a church parking lot w her bf and his friend. we were explaining to both the guys what was happening when all of a sudden the red truck starts driving by really slowly and this point i think i was about to have a crazy panic attack... the bf and the friend confronted the ppl in the red truck trying to talk shit to them and when they saw we were with guys the truck sped off and the guys were saying there were 3 guys in that truck, 3 guys could easily over power 4 short girls and it’s honestly the scariest thing to ever happen to me, and i honestly haven’t gone out drinking since then and it scares me to think what could’ve happened if we didn’t notice we were being followed or if my friends bf didn’t meet up w us. pls be careful girls it sucks that we can’t even go out and have fun without scary things happening to us but pls be careful and share your location with a loved one

This one time when I was walking to school a couple years ago, a man in a black car pulled up to the sidewalk next to me and called for me so I looked over to see who it was because I thought it might be someone I knew. He asked me where a certain street was and I told him I didn’t know and he said “oh haha at you lost too” and I said no and then out of nowhere he said “how old are you?” And that’s when I got scared. I backed up away from his car and started walking away then he drove off. Idk if he was just hitting on me or if he was a trafficker but it was scary.

So! This story happened at my church. There's the main church building where you hold the services (the sanctuary I think? I'm not sure if that's what it's called) and then you walk outside for about 15 steps and into the building where they hold receptions, where you can get coffee and donuts after church, etc. My mom had to be there for a while after church because she was working with a charity organization. I'm 16 now, but this happened about a month before my 16th birthday. I had dressed a little nicer this Sunday, wearing a black and red dress and black heels. I'm wandering around, basically just killing time until my mom is done. There's this man who goes to my church who obviously has some mental issues, and he uses a walker and wears this bright ass yellow vest, even in mid day. So as I'm wandering around, I hear his distinct, loud, deep voice boom "How YOU doin, young lady?" Figuring he was talking to someone he knew, I ignored it and kept walking. Then walking back past him the other direction, he says it again. "how YOU doin' young lady?" I ignore him again, but this time I knew he was talking to me. By ignoring him, that made him STAND HIS ASS UP AND START WALKING TOWARDS ME. I begin weaving my way around tables, hoping to deter him from me considering he has a walker. But no, he continues chasing me, following the exact route I took. I thought about hiding in a bathroom, but I didn't want him to see where I went and be able to corner me. So this entire time he's chasing me, hes still basically SHOUTING "How you doin young lady?" And no one stopped him when it had to be clear that I was scared and trying to get away. At this point I realize I should go stand by my mom and maybe that'll scare him away. Nope! He finally catches up to me, but I had my back turned thinking maybe if I ignore him he'll get bored and walk away. He didn't. He waited a minute, then reached out and tapped my arm and repeated again "How YOU doin, young lady?"at this point I have no choice. I said "Fine" and he says "Good. What's your name?" I told him "Katie" and he says "Oh, I have a cousin named Katie. You're much younger and prettier than her though" and I just kinda nervously laugh. Here he says "Well it was wonderful talking to you Katelyn, I hope to do it again" and leaves. I tell my mom what happened and she said she watched it all and was keeping tabs on him but she was tied up talking to someone so that's why she didn't come get me. Looking back I should've asked for the car keys and run out to hide there, he was slow enough that he wouldn't have been able to see me get into my car. Ruined my whole day.

There was an old man who would come to my register and talk about how i should come over to have dinner with his family over the holidays. At firs i thought it was a joke type of thing customers say stuff like that all the time and its not a big deal. But he was really weird and kind of shit talked about his wife and daughter which was a little weird and he was always talking about how pretty i was then one day he came to my line and said "my wife and i are still waiting for you to come and have dinner with us" then asked me for my phone number. I patted my pockets and pretended to act like i didnt have my phone then he said it was alright and left. I thought that was it but he proceeded to go to our self-checkout area and ask for a pen wrote a number down and came back telling me "this is my wife's number". I reported it to my job and now i dont see him very often.

I'd love to see a video about how they go about abducting these poor girls, whose lives are RUINED!! They're either scarred for life or murdered!! I'm 44 and I'm still afraid of guys approaching me bc there are too many weirdos out there! I'm a recovering heroin addict and I think back to the situations I would put myself in bc I trust and think people are inherently good. (Which is NOT true unfortunately! That's why I always have my trusty knife with me at all times!) Thank God I have a very overprotective husband!! Be careful out there ladies, and guys. They get nabbed too!♥️

One day when I was about 5 or 6 I was playing outside in my front yard. My grandmother was watching me and we were playing catch with a frisbee. I noticed that there was this dirty, white truck that kept driving around our block. I probably had seen it go by about 2 or 3 times. Luckily I had had the talk about strangers and kidnapping with my parents so I was weary of that kind of thing. My grandma threw the frisbee to me but it flew over my head and landed in the street. I went to go get it, and that white truck pulled up right by it. It was like, 4 feet from the passenger side of the truck. The windows were super tinted so I couldn’t see in. I remember my grandma saying something like “oh that’s nice, they stopped for you!” (Like, wtf grandma). But when I got to the edge of the street I just felt my stomach drop and I got a horrible feeling. I turned and ran back to my grandmother. And the truck slowly pulled away. I asked to go inside after that. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if I decided to get that frisbee. I literally almost died.

Ah ok so I have a pretty recent one. So some background, I'm a guy, but I'm small in stature with a slim face and I have short red hair. So I was going to the gas station to get some good ol gas station food when these two almost middle aged guys say, "hey, young lady! I like your hair, the colour works very well for your skin" and this could've been read as a compliment, but the way they said it was really creepy. I ignore him, thinking that I could pass it off as I didnt hear because one, I'm not a lady, and two, it was creepy. They talk amongst themselves about my hair colour once I've walked past. Then I get my food and go to the cashier. I had to wait in line and the two guys decide to waltz right back up to me, one really close to my side, and the other really close behind me. They had me cornered and the guy said, "hey, I'm not sure if you heard me, but we really like your hair colour, it looks very nice" and I cant really think of what else I'm going to do so I kinda just meekly said thanks and tried to disengage with them. They're still super close behind me and then the start talking about my body and more of my characteristics which was making me really really uncomfortable. I also have some pretty severe social anxiety and was feeling an attack coming on. I finally get back to the car and made sure they didnt follow. But that was really creepy and I proceeded to cry twice. It was really bad. I also just very recently stopped being a minor, although when ithappened, I was only 17. I definitely should've told them that I was uncomfortable or told the cashier but I was literally so scared. Now I know what to do I guess. I'm not sure if it could've actually been human trafficking, but I think it was, people don't just talk about that shit and corner you.

i went to France 6 years ago with my sister and grandpa, and we met up with my aunt & uncle who live there. we took a trip to Paris, and when we got off of the train and walked up from the underground station, we were all standing there trying to map out where we were gonna go next. i glanced up and noticed this man just staring at me. he was in his late 20s, early 30s. i looked away and said something to my family, and a few minutes later i noticed him STILL STARING at me! i’m the type of person to stare back (lol usually they look away once i do that) but this guy locked eyes with me for an uncomfortable amount of time. i kept glancing back, too, and he was just staring at me. so so creepy! THEN HE LICKED HIS DAMN LIPS. so i told my family we should just move to a different location, and we did. that’s the end of that story but it’s always SO IMPORTANT to be 100% aware of your surroundings, especially if you’re in another country. my family spoke French, too, so it’s not like we stuck out as “Americans” or whatever. just be safe!!!!! and be aware!!!

One of the teachers that I have had for years every last day of each term, she tells us these stories that are completely true that have happened to her or people she knows. She told us that she wants to tell us these stories to keep us safe. I am also going to go into getting my bachelor of criminology and that also makes me put my guard on. I have always put my guard on when I am out, I don't even like walking home by myself or even with my younger brother. We are lucky enough that one of my friends (who is a boy) lives on the same street as me, walks home sometimes and when he isn't I usually text my mum to tell her to pick me and brother up from a short distance from our bus stop cause I am scared of what might happen. Two of my friends want to go on a cruise so being the person I am, I warned them on what happens on a cruise. I didn't want them to think I was at all trying to reck their holiday cause I wasn't, I was just simply telling them to be careful of their surroundings and stay fully aware. This is only because there is a lot of cases that I have read that stated that rape, sexual assault, thieves and even sometimes human trafficking happens which is the worst situation but it isn't uncommon. Moral of the story I am no longer friends with these people, they didn't want to be friends with me anymore because what I said about cruises which is the worst excuse ever as I was just trying to warn them as that's the type of person that I am.

These are so scary. My mom raised me to be very aware of all my surroundings at a very young age and lemme you tell you there were a few times I’ve noticed something weird and feel like I’ve dodged a bullet and later learn there was something bad that happened thinking that it could have been me. Now that I have a son I am even more aware/paranoid. I used to get really nervous when I would be putting my son in his car seat with my back to the public, my uncle whom is a detective, told me to always get into the car in the backseat, lock the door, get baby strapped into the car seat and then go to drivers side. I do this and it does make me feel better. It’s sad what a dangerous world we live in.

I had a painfully similar experience as the first story but it was on my college campus. Only one man though, in an ill-fitted brown suit on a flip phone walking through the hall. He saw me and started chatting me up, hung up on whoever he was on the phone with (yes, in that order - talked to me first then remembered he was on the phone and just said "I'll call you back" and flipped it shut without breaking eye contact with me) and later asked for my number because he thought I would be a good fit for a bartending job. I gave him my real number with 2 numbers flipped to make it seem real and he deadass called it right in front of me to make sure it was legit. I was fucking terrified so I "found my mistake" and gave him my actual one because I didn't know what else to do. I know, fucking stupid, but it is what it is. Afterwards he texted me saying he wanted to propose a "mutually beneficial relationship" where if I went with him with all of his business dinners to meet "very important people" (as he was a "business owner" - never specified what he owned or what he did) he would pay all of my bills, pay to get my hair done, nails done, spa time, etc. I blocked that number and never heard from or saw him again. Now I always have at least one knife or stun gun on me at all times.

I technically work in a call center. I received customer information and followed regular protocol on an ordinary day.. I was started confirming the customer's information and what they are looking for, I noticed he wasn't really responding but kind of.. grunting.. I asked if the item he made an inquiry on was what he was looking for and he said well "Do YOU like it? How does it make YOU feel..Huh? Does it make you feel good.." I hung up immediately. I don't know if maybe the customer provided the wrong phone number and the person on the other end was just messing with me, but regardless it was NOT ok. I made notes and closed his file permanently. On a better note - I found your channel randomly a few days ago and I love your video's! You're a great storyteller! :)

This is my 'stalker' story: I was 6 years old when I saw him for the first time, he was a man in his 50s, he was in a truck not far from me and my family and he was staring me straight in the eye, when I noticed I ran to my mom to hide but when I turned to see where he was I only saw the truck with nobody inside. Then I saw him twice again, once when I was about 8 years old at school, he was outside the gate sitting on a bench. The other time was at my 11 year old birthday party, we were in a park and I was playing volleyball with my friends, one of them threw it too far so he went to pick it up, I was looking at him because he was my crush, then I saw the same man with the ball in his hand, he returned the ball to us then went away. I am now 15 years old and since that day I have never seen him again.

i was almost kidnapped once, too. at least i think that’s what was happening? it was a weird situation altogether. several churches in my town get together every year to do community service, like yard work, home repairs, etc. the first year that we did this was the summer right before my freshman year of high school, and at the time we went to the local high school to start off the day, eat lunch, and for those of us who couldn’t drive: get picked up. it was the end of the day and many people had already finished and the group i was with was last, and i was the only one with my group that was still waiting on my ride, so my friend took me back to the school to wait for my dad. he was running late, and everybody else had already gone home, and my friend was waiting with me, and some older couple drove up to the school and parked in front of the bench where we were sitting. i think he talked to them for a while, but it’s been four years and i don’t remember everything, but then he got a call and walked away just out of earshot but still in sight. like i said, my dad was running late, and i had mentioned that to my friend right before he answered the phone. the lady that was in the truck asked me where my father was, and i said that he was on the way, but he likes to take his time. she then proceeded to offer to take me home, because “they were going by there anyway.” i didn’t know who she was, and people i know don’t often know where i live anyways, so i was immediately tipped off that i needed to be very careful what i said next. i asked if she knew my dad, and she said “of course! we love your dad” and i just assured her that my father would be here soon, and if he couldn’t make it i’m sure that my friend would be kind enough to take me home anyways. and we went back and forth from her saying “well we could drop you off if you want us to” and me politely rejecting her. anyways my dad showed up soon to get me, and the lady said hey to him, etc. they were polite and everything. i asked him if he knew her, and he said that he didn’t. like i said, i don’t know what happened, but i feel sure that if my friend hadn’t been there i probably would’ve been kidnapped that day.

I had a really scary encounter also. My school had an event that was like "prom" for the eighth graders. Everyone dresses up and I was in heels and a short dress. After the event, everyone went to chick-fil-a after to have a sorta after party. But of course since the whole grade was there it was super crowded and the lines were long so I and my three other friends went across the street to a HUGE home decor place. We decided to play hide and seek since it was so big and had good hiding spots. My one friend sought and I and my two other friends hid. They decided to stick together but I went my own way and split from the group. I hid in the very back corner of the store and sat there for a long time. At one point a saw a man on the other corner of the store. It was kind of weird since the store was empty and it was very late at night. He was staring at me and I was kind of confused but I realized I might have looked lost or weird sitting in a corner so I kinda laughed and waved at him to show I was okay. The man started walking towards me and when he got to me he asked me a ton of questions like "whats your name, what are you doing, what are your friends' names?" etc. I answered some questions but not all of them because they were super personal. After a ton of questions, he kind of stopped looked me up and down and said: "You look great in that dress" and winked at me. I felt so uncomfortable and knew this was a bad situation so I got up and said I had to go. He then attempted to grab my hand and said: " You don't have to leave". Right then and there I sprinted in HEELS and found my friends in the front of the store and told them we have to leave now. I explained to them after and they were so grossed out. After that scary situation I always stay in a group and if I ever feel weird or uncomfortable I leave. Stay safe y'all.

Two short lil stories: 1) so my town has this big parade every year right before winter starts to celebrate Christmas. They set up a massive Christmas Tree and everything, it closes off part of a road. This tree stays up until shortly after new years, meaning the road is closed off till then too, its like a "tourist" attraction. After the parade they set up rentable wooden booths around the tree for people to sell stuff out of. My team rented one for three days one year, and we were taking turns standing on the sidewalk holding a sign. I could cleaning see all four booths from the sidewalk, and the people in the booths could see me (I was at the time 14 btw, but I've always appeared much older. As a freshman it wasn't uncommon for teachers to think I was a junior or senior). So I'm hold his sign, from time to time I'd yell out that we had a bake sale. I had been standing out there after one if my team mates was being lazy and didn't want to. I was cat called like three times in the span of a few minutes and I was VERY uncomfortable with it. I saw this man come waking down the sidewalk and I didn't really think anything of it until be looked me up and down like four or five times. He was a heavy set man with curly red hair and a shirt curly red beard, and he wore a red and gray flannel. I was uncomfortable but for being in high school I was oddly used to it. Uuuuntil he got up close enough that I could see he was moving from the right side of the side walk to the left side (so like closer to me than he would've been since we was walking along building and I was facing the street). Then he reaches his arm out and grabs me my the forearm and trys to pull on me. I've always been really strong so, and being that I was practically "frozen" in fear, I didn't move. He stopped and looked me in the eyes but I swear to God I couldnt register is face. He tried to pull on me again, but I pulled back. I darted my eye for just a second to look at the booth and see if anyone could help. One person. From another booth had just spoted us and was walking over. The guy let me go and bolted off. The man from the booth tried to follow him but wasn't quick enough. I never saw him again, though I've read about sex offenders in my area and one had a description that was similar. (Wow that wasn't as quick as I figured it would be, sorry) 2)I was walking around town with some friends after school. We weren't immediately headed anywhere in particular so we just walked the same two blocks a few times. After the third lap we realized the same two guys were behind us that were behind us when we left school (like got off as school property. Also, just fyi, there us a college in my town as well. Again I'm 14, but I look 16ish). It just so happens that my brothers two best friends are twins that are 6'5" and 200lb+ each, and had declared themselves my bodygaurds. No joke. So I whipped out my phone, texted my brother and his friends as I knew they were in town. I told them what was happening and where I was. They told me to go to a slightly more populated area (like where all the stores are), so we did. We continued doing laps in thag area and they were still following us. We met them at our friends coffee shop Where my friends and I finally turned around and asked why there were following us. They pretended they didn't know in that stupid fuckboy "whatcho talkin bout baby girl?" (Again, no joke). So just my brother walks over and started an argument with the guys, and then his friends walk over and put their hands on our shoulders. The creepy dudes literally ran away.

I can't believe the manager told her to buck up. I'm a delivery driver (hopefully not for much longer) and if something seems shady or I don't feel comfortable, they'll send one of the guys with me.

I’m a bit late to this video, but I lived in a relatively decent area. I had to get groceries so my 3mo son and I went to Walmart. I felt a weird vibe but left after I got what I needed instead of roaming around. I got on Facebook when I was home and saw on a local mom group post. Some lady watched me being followed and since I was sketched out and bolted SHE was the one almost sex trafficked! Literally NEVER went back there again alone!

I think the "gut feeling" point is really important when staying safe, especially on the internet. This isn't really an encounter close to human trafficking, but it still creeped me out nonetheless. When I was twelve I used an app called Amino (I wasn't really allowed to have it, but I needed friends so ignored the warnings). I was in a public chat and most of the people were normal and fun to talk to, and I was sort of invited into their private chat/friend group. Me and the other members shared similar interests and we actually got along pretty well. There was this one boy that was maybe a couple months younger than me, but something was EXTREMELY off about him. He acted so childish to the point where it seemed like someone older pretending to be a child. He would make the little emotes and even called me "mommy". It lowkey freaked me out, but I assumed nothing of it. I had a horrible gut feeling from this kid. We actually became pretty close friends and I sorta took him under my wing. I introduced him to my real life friends through a group chat and it was nice. This kid was a little brother to me in a way. Our friendship lasted a couple of weeks, and my friends thought he was off. I ignored them and the gut feeling I got. I later found out that he was going to "boarding school" and that he wouldn't be able to talk to me because he used his sister's (who was, according to him, 16 at the time) phone to talk to me. I was DEVASTATED because I thought one of my best online friends wouldn't be able to talk to me again. Then a couple of days later his sister came on his account and told me that he acted like an eight year old because he had DID (multiple personalities) and experienced trauma in the past and it sorta put him in a stuck mental state. Then she said started thanking me and saying "All he ever does is talk about you. You keep him mentally in check". Fast forward another day or two, and me and this kid are talking. He asks me questions about myself (nothing too personal, just appearance and hobbies and stuff) and when I would answer he would say things like ">_< you're so perfect UwU. You sound so pretty!" . I did find it a little weird, but it made me feel good about myself because I was going through a tough time. It was at this point in time that I was going through my "emo" phase and I tried to be all "edgy" and stuff, so this was like a breath of fresh air. This kid shared an account with his sister and had multiple accounts. As things progressed, I started feeling weirder and weirder about the situation. At this point it felt like I was being groomed, and it was REALLY uncomfortable. Then the accounts all were banned from the app one by one and we stopped talking. I can't tell what the "sister" (who was using the account at the time) had done to get them deleted, but something in my gut told me it wasn't good. At this point I can't tell if I was genuinely being groomed by some creep, being messed with, he was who he said he was, or someone with a lot of mental issues that was using me as a way to vent. Either way, I wasn't that sad when my mom found the app on my phone and took it away from me. I don't know if I was being dramatic or what, but some of the points did not add up at all. Needless to say, I was done with the internet for a while.

I so hate that when you try to be nice to someone and give an inch, they take a mile. Had that happen so much and it’s the worst when you’re an employee and they’re the customer bc you can’t even be rude.
