Hi Aman, IIM doesn't follow this. In baby IIMs you can compromise CTC for better brand value in future. And I am not from IIM, I would love to suggest you on Tier 2 colleges only.. I would recommend you to connect someone on Linkdin to ask them about IIM's view in terms of placement.

@@eduKill-for-MBA sir I have talk with students of IIM Jammu they told me that 100 students got unplaced in our batch it's up to you if you want just tag not placement join baby IIM of you want placement join tier 1 pr tier 2 college

Yes, this is absolutely true. Actually the job market is down as of now.. I would say if you are a fresher then think about placement perspective not in the view of brand value..

Kisi bhi tier 1 se 1 lacs - 1.2 lacs in hand , tier 2 se 50k-60k in hand, itna hi expect kar sakte hain .. india hai .. starting salary iss se zyada hoti nai , kahin se bhi padh lo ... Haan 10% students har college mein kaafi achchha package leke jaate hain but unn 10% tak pohonchna bhi ek super task hoti hai ... Baaki truly loan amount , rent, food, commute sab karke haath mein shuru mein to 10k-20k hi bach jayega ... Hard reality.. Student final placement ke time ye zaroor dekhein ki fixed package kitna hai , zyada se zyada hone pe hi benefit milta hai ....
