She'd technically already married the guy, so if the family dies, she does too, cos she's a Le Bail now. But the final ending takes her asking for a divorce as not just a funny moment, but maybe even a plot moment that makes her safe from exploding like her brand-new ex-in-laws. It's clear Obviously Satan™️ respects her when you see his fiery visage nods to her before disappearing. So, I guess he decided she'd earned her survival.

Actually, in the original ending she was simply stabbed. That was boring so they came up with this ending instead.
