You can do it yourself actually . Get a good pair of HAIR scissors...one you will use ONLY for hair...take a good hour or two on a weekend, (you can reduce the time over time, but it's good to take your time the first time to learn your hair and how to trim). Section your hair into tiny parts, like you're doing medium twists, and trim a certain length off..usually it's about the length of my thumb nail or 1 inch..or two, lol...depends on where I see damage/unevenness/split ends, and on how long it's been since my last trim. Usually trims are every 6 months, but I forget or get lazy. You really don't need a stylist...and you trust yourself the most, so it's worth trying it yourself. For me, trimming is best when I have twists (w/o extensions) that are thickness of the tip my pinky finger...or 1x to 1.5x the thickness of a pencil. I trim before taking the twists down for wash day. If I don't have twists in, I section the hair into sections the same size as those twists before trimming, this way, that the trim length is consistent all around. If you trim s large chunk, there's room for mistakes...where one area is longer than another. So take your time and you can do it. I hope this helps. YOU'VE GOT THIS!!! 😊
