This is a 1 year Review on the AT4/TRAIL BOSS PLUS 2.0" SST LIFT KIT installed on my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss. I love the looks of this lift and you can't beat the price for what you get. It combines with the factory 2in lift that come on the truck. Making my Trail Boss a 4in Total lift.
Readylift SST 2.0: imp.i128439.ne...
It comes with new upper control arms and a 3" block in the back. Not compatible with Sierra AT4X or Silverado ZR2 Edition. Part #69-3920. I am running 285/75/18 Nitto Recon Grapplers.
We go over the Readylift SST 2.0 Problems that I am having. No Dealership or Mechanic can figure out the problem. Please let me know if you have the same issue with your Lift. Love to hear your feedback if you think you might know what the issue could be. ReadyLift's customer support is great. They were willing to send me out a Brand New Ball Joint in case it was that, but it did not fix the problem.

Just finished taking off the mud flaps and have verified it is not the mud flaps like one dealer told me.

Ran same lift on my 2019 trailboss same tire size -19 offset rims. Had to trim and remove plastic bracket holding wheel liners. 70k miles no issues. Will be doing same on the 24 trailboss I just purchased.

It's interesting Readylift told you you wouldn't need any spacers to run 285/75r18 on the OE wheels. They told me I'd need 3/8"-1/2" spacers. Same truck, same trim, same kit, same wheels.
@zachattackcustoms

Thats good to know, cause I actually called them before buying the tires and they told me that they would fit. That's the only reason I went with that size. Thanks for the info!

Hi Zach, I’m looking at a lift or level. Particularly the one you did sst kit from ready lift. My question is because I’ve seen mixed reviews. Did you lose the ability to use Auto 4wd because of the CV angle? I want to use the auto 4wd. Look forward to hearing back
@zachattackcustoms

Yes, you are not suppose to use auto 4WD with this kit.

The pop maybe a lose bolt somewhere regarding the alignment bolts that maybe loose. I had that with the truck at stock stock… but after a front end crash and after everything was fixed. Mine was the alignment shop did not tighten all the bolts
@zenassolomon

I had the same popping noise on my trailboss and it was the bolts where you make the alignment not tight that was causing it
@Trevorlong1

The popping a lot of time can be from not everything being tight so possibly have your installer check and make sure everything is fully tight.

Nice looking truck. I have a '21 black TB and a '22 Zl1 in Red Hot. I am looking to do the same ReadyLift SST kit, already did the mud flap delete, and added 2" wheel spacers to give the factory tires a little poke. I personally like the factory wheels so I will be keeping them, just going a bit bigger on the tires once the factory tires need replaced.

The popping noise might be the sway bar needing the spacer adapter, or possibly the spring in the strut being loose or not seated right.
@zachattackcustoms
@zachattackcustoms 8 месяцев назад
I will definitely check those. I did just recently change out my sway bar linkage brackets, because they were rubbing the cv axle in turns, but I don't think that was the popping issue. The weird thing is, I haven't been hearing the popping issue lately, since I added weight to the back with a heavier tonneau cover and a bed rack.
@migs610
@migs610 3 месяца назад
That popping noise is your upper control arm. See is you can get it warranted. The ball joint is bad
@zachattackcustoms
@zachattackcustoms 3 месяца назад
I actually had the ball joint replaced cause that is what readylift thought it was. It's really weird, it goes away during the winter colder months and then the popping comes back during the summer hotter months. I have just learned to deal with it, cause it seems no one can figure it out. I am just waiting for something to break to figure out the problem unfortunately.

Nice truck - I just put the reddi lift 2.0 set on my 2021 trailboss - still has the factory dura Trax tires - the truck does not ride like factory - is it because of the tires or is it something else , John

Thanks, I put the lift on before I switched tires and I noticed no difference in ride quality, but the Nitto’s were a huge upgrade in my opinion. Usually when you go with bigger tires they are noisier but not with the recons. Much quieter and smoother. I can’t believe Chevy puts those duratracs on their trucks, they are terrible!

I did the lift first, I felt that I lost about 1mpg with that. The tires made the bigger difference, I feel that I lost about 2mpg going with 35's. If you are worried about mpg, I would maybe only upgrade from the factory 32's to a 33inch tire.
