Real Bargains Found Thrift Shopping | Makora Glass, Lalique, Gemstone Ring, Jewelry by Dr. Lori 

I bought a 17 pound jewelry lot on a Goodwill auction last week, and found a blue topaz ring in it. It paid for the whole lot! I guess they thought it was glass, but the Presidium Gem Tester is priceless for identifying stones. I love going through jewelry. I told my husband that I'm a part time pirate. 😂

Wow! My Goodwill blue box only had only broken plastic Santa earrings and cloth cords… lots of low value necklaces which I gifted to my sister.. didn’t really make the price I paid back but she was happy!

Fabulous video! My daughter and family are vacationing in Virginia and she went to a Goodwill. She sent me pictures of things to ask what I thought. 😮 I bought the same Makora glass bowl! I paid $10 and I absolutely love it it has no inclusions it’s in pristine condition when I tried researching it the only similar items I could find, we’re listing it as Murano and since I’m still saving up for my priority service; it’s still sitting there but I’m so happy I saw this! one item less to research! thank God and thank you Dr. Lori!

Always learn so much. One day I'm going to have to schedule a video call or purchase a subscription to learn the values of all my bargains and items gifted to me to either list or open a booth at a flea market. I tend to purchase with the intent to sell and then add it to all my mass collections. I have more than I have room for, but I can't pass up a great bargain on beautiful things that are quality. The things I have the hardest time finding the values are cassettes, 8 tracks and vinyl... they aren't something I love so my knowledge is sparse. I was given a lot of these things by a couple of friends and since it's not my passion, I'm lost. Thank you so much for sharing and encouraging us to identify an array of such exquisite items. The eye doesn't lie. And... you look beautiful in the blue. You need the blue sapphire ring for your collection. Your passion for knowledge and teaching freely what you can to empower us is so unselfishly kind. I'm thankful your dad took you with him to catch the bug for thrifting and the hunt. I know you gained so much from him and I know he would be proud of your accomplishments. He helped raise an amazing daughter, I am sure you are thinking of him.on this Father's Day. God Bless!
