Great job Jay I’m glad to know now I can add low end bass without having to buy new stuff with the setup I already have. Not looking for competition sound but good clear satisfying sound. Thank you for your hard work brother you have made upgrading our Harley’s easy and fairly inexpensive without the ugly hack jobs most do
You have great content and great videos I have a 2023 street glide and I want to change my speakers and add an amp and subs to it but I want to keep my factory head radio any suggestions?? I know I want to put 6×9 in the rear and I have purchased the wire harness for the bags from you.
I’ve got to ask, Why would you push a sub that is basically a mfg defect out of the box, they don’t even fit their OWN 6x9 ? Even with the precision power 6x9 it smashes the connection tabs. Precision power should fix this. To have to modify a brand new sub is just ridiculous. You guys got me…. I listened to your review an went out an got them. What was supposed to make the build much easier has exponentially complicated it. Precision power needs to recall these subs. Oh and soon as you modify there goes your warranty…..
@@volunteeraudio Dude i OWN them… brand new 2023 stock harley bags… Not sure who your trying to convince but this simply isnt true. Both sides do the same thing. I stand on what i said, why would you push a sub that needs to be modified OUT OF THE BOX to fit ANYTHING? Its awesome you guys will fix precision powers out of the box mfg defect. But it shouldnt have to be done. These are supposed to be an easy drop in solution, that is really just a lie. There is nothing easy about making these work with 6x9 lid speakers . How is it easy and drop in if it requires a warranty voiding modification to function properly???
@@kevinsteele2525 the Rockford drop ins need modification as well for full size 6x9’s, I did a full install video showing that the precision power speakers fit without issue, documented in a previous video where we cover what speakers fit or do not fit without mods. You must be using the ht series precision speakers which do not clear. All of our information that we share about these is true and honest with video proof to back up each claim
@@kevinsteele2525 Here is a video with the mas694 clearing without issue, you must have bought the horn loaded ht series which do not fit BASS! On a Harley Davidson®? Precision Power has your Solution and we are going to show you How! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N4G3-_WBVkQ.html
@@volunteeraudio i wish this were true… i sat with the new rep at the local shop i got them at. I can also take pictures of the problem if you like. It happens on both sides, its not install error. Its mfg defect. Precision power just dropped the ball BIG TIME on these. Not what id call “precision” The subs are fully seated, pressed in, Still smash the speaker terminals. Even running the precision 6x9s i wasnt even close to happy with but forced to use then they dont even work…. An obviously if people were happy with those 6x9s there would be no call at all to modify a brand new all in one sub right out of the box. These subs should be recalled designed properly and rereleased. But then they would have to pay for theyre own mistake instead of passing that on to theyre customers… i tell you what. Precision power wont get any more of my money. I applaud your efforts to modify them and make them work, thats great that you guys warranty them after modification, that doesnt help people who purchased them elsewhere. But again… it just shouldnt have to happen. Precision power needs to step up and fix this. This is supposed to be an easy drop in solution… its NOT.
Here are the bushings, I have not had to replace any due to failures volunteeraudio.com/product/precision-power-hd14-sbv-saddlebag-vents-installation-kit-for-2014-2023-harley-davidson-touring-motorcycles-hd14-sbv-hd14sbv
If a man was only gonna purchase one of these bass inserts for one side bag, and was probably never gonna take it out, would it be a better idea to just permanently mount a 10” sub and amp instead and have some usable room left in that bag? Price wise it looks like it would be about the same $ or ever slightly higher. I would also think it would sound better, and the 6X9 would have more usable air space? Or would it hurt the 6X9 utilizing the same cavity air as the sub? Appreciate any feedback.
Sounds like an instrumental version of Buckcherry - I love the coc@ine lol…. Setup sounds absolutely incredible!! Whenever I decide to put more money into my audio I’m definitely gona give y’all a call. Do y’all setup for the Thunder Beach fall rally at PCB, FL in October??
Is there any usable space above the subwoofer when you close the lids? Maybe to fit a sweatshirt or light jacket. Or could that cause the subwoofer amp to overheat?
Jay, How about that same install on the bags with a 2011 street glide? That would be the hertz neo6x9 with precision power cut ins. Will the HD13.SBWL/R sub need to be modified also on 2013 and lower? Thank you
@volunteeraudio Ok, thank you for responding. I really want to get this done very soon due to travel and time constraints. Will the currently available precision power sub (13 and under) work with the hertz neo 6x9 or do you have to modify them also? Thank you
I have Rockford Fosgate add on system on my 2020 RGS and was wondering how these subs compare to the Rockford removable subs and does this system integrate easily?
I have heard both and I think the precision power are louder and easier to install. Integration is easy to our systems but without further info it’s hard to say on your system. Give us a call to discuss these variables
Buy on our website or call 1-844-30AUDIO to speak with us, we answer calls first and emails last, on busy phone days we don’t have time to get emails also
Real tempting jus waiting for some product reviews.. 🔥🔥can I just port with the 15 whole kit and use My hertz 6 by 9 for same bass? Or is it a big difference
Great video! Does the mid bass you get with the 6x9 change now that the space is taken away? Do they still play the low frequencies the same? Or do they become more of a midrange?
While the subs are installed you lose some midbass from the 6x9’s because the subwoofer is taking up the airspace the 6x9 was using but by porting the bag the 6x9’s sound better than ever before with the subwoofer removed. What little is lost in the 6x9 is way overcome by the added subwoofer bass
@@volunteeraudio so if the 6x9s sound better when the drop in sub is removed due to the ports in the bottom of the bag, do you plan on selling the ports separately so we can port our bags for our 6x9s??
Question so if I just want to add one which one should I add left or right or it’s the same connection in both just making shure before I buy it I don’t want to get the wrong side because I need I bag for storage thanks in advance
@@volunteeraudio ok thanks for the help and rapid response also I just want to say thank you I just install the 165 Neo and 690 Neo spl show and it’s amazing and make look the Rockford Fosgate like a kids radio so thank for all the videos and info you give to the riding community have a bless day
Good to know. So I did remove the Rockford saddle bag amp and replaced it with your pig tail connector. I’ll wait until you have made the changes before purchasing them. Thanks for the constant improvements.
@@volunteeraudio yeah I’m wondering same question. I have 2018 CVO SG and I just did a full Hertz stage 6 upgrade with the 5x7 to 6x9 adapter in the bags. My bags have the power lid locks and the factory CVO connections on each bag. If you make these to fit that I’m in for at least one!!! The system sounds awesome already but that added bass would be the icing on top!!!
@@volunteeraudio okay thanks. I just fabricated a shallow mount 12 in Infinity reference 12:00 into my tour pack. The biggest challenge with bass is getting out the rattles!
