Yeah, I also think this all takes place in the body of a child; one who every once in a while gets wounds while playing and such. This is also why we don't see problems related to tobacco or alcohol like in Code Black.

There was an old cartoon "Once Upon a TIme... Life". That one wasn't as action based, but explained things much clearer, since it was mainly for smaller kids, yet they wanted to stay realistic and show how things really work in the body. For example, they showed how platelets seal a wound with their bodies and become the wall. Also, the police officers actually did eat viruses and bacteria. XD God I loved that show as a kid. Still do.

Creative license wins out over pure science! XD Ah well, I've still learned and retained more about biology from this than from any science class ever! Also, not sure if you've made it to a later episode/manga chapter since this is a re-upload, but you'll see some phagocytosis soon~ X3 That episode is one of my favourites! Looking forward to your thoughts there!

Personally I can see all the cells (in this fictional world) being asexual, buuut fully capable of forming strong bonds of friendship and romance~ X3 (Besides, I've heard that eosinophils are "pink cells" - is this true, or just in reference to they way they're presented in the show? XD)

They appear reddish-orange or pink so yes they got that right! And asexual cells makes more sense haha
