Bob Seger may live in that big house, but sometimes when he's feeling tired and beat, he travels back in time and finds his feet, down on MAINSTREET.

When I was a teenager in the 70s, I used to babysit a family in Birmingham, and Alto Reed from Bob Seger’s band lived next-door to where I babysat.

Did you know, Muhammad Ali lived in a small town called Berrien Springs, Michigan? I'd see him and talk to him every time he was out about. Definitely the peoples champ.

I've lived here in Michigan since birth, 42 years, I love my state, it's a beautiful place, especially during the fall. There are tons of good, honest, hard working folks here, lots of good fishing and hunting and all kinds of recreational activities to enjoy. There's wildlife everywhere, in the country, in towns and in cities, it's not uncommon to see a deer in the middle of town. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. It's no wonder why people wanna live here.

We actually did share out rather large play structure for years. We even expanded it into our neighbor's yards because their kids used it all the time and we added more stuff to it.

No way, I go to college at Oakland university and I used to deliver pizza in Rochester. One day I delivered pizza to the Kmart mansion and I had no idea it was Eminem’s old house until now. I was blown away by how cool the house was. So crazy growing up listening to Eminem not realizing any of this hahaha

“Lampin” is a reference to “The Blue Light Special” at Kmart. If the the light went on while you were in the store, there would be a special sale in that section. Savin’ money.

Back in the 80's, when I worked for a local bank, I handled the mortgage paperwork for Bob Seger's home in Bloomfield Hills. Was over 1M and beautiful.

Other celebrities that live in Michigan! Steve Yzerman, Tim Allen, Big Shawn, before she passed away Aretha Franklin, Terry Crews still owns a house near Flint, and Jeff Daniels. There a many more I can get back to you when I remember them lmao....

I only know about Franklin because a friend of mine got married to a man with some wealthy family members in the area, and they had her bridal shower at the Tea Room in Franklin. It was like driving into a parallel universe briefly and then getting spat back out and onto Telegraph Rd. 🤣

I've ridden past kid rocks house multiple times without knowing, used to live not far. I also lived near dan gilbert and remember it being worked on. in fact my house at the time was built by Bob Wian of big boy restaurant fame (that house was only worth about 200k due to being problematic) and was nearby. then after that house, I actually lived in a house built by Luther Elliss back in the '90s. that one was in Oakland township near the corner of Adams and Orion road. since then my family has downsized dramatically and stopped chasing that life. and I moved north on my own to a friends farm in Leelanau county.

Early in Bob Segars career he also lived at Andersonville rd and Airport rd, Waterford Mich. People always think it was the Stone house on the corner ( which still comes into debate), it was actually the 2 story white house next door. If your lucky enough to be in Downtown Clarkston you may run into Bob Segar or Kid Rock. Franklin is tiny and has a great Historical Cider Mill.

I was born and raised and still stay in clarkston, really close to kid rock. My mom loves him 😂

My family chose Springfield township rather than independence township. Still close enough to Clarkston, with way less taxes. More private and wooded too

Before the home you show here, I'm pretty sure Eminem's first known house after he got famous was on Hayes Rd. just north of Utica Rd. also in Clinton Township. Which is hilarious because Hayes is kind of a busy road, and you could clearly see his house as you drove by...not private at all.

Bob Seger lived in Portland, Oregon when I lived there. Saw all kinds of pics of him at charity events in the society columns of the Sunday paper.

Dave Coulier, Uncle Joey from Full House lives back in Michigan. Over in the St Clair Shores Grosse , Pointe area.

Bob Seger played at dances at Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, way before he hit big time, I'm happy for him and his band mates. Does anyone Remember the Crow's Nest at Harper Ave. and 13 Mile ? A friend and I met some rock types that went on to be very well known.

I had a house on Middle Straits Lake. Bob Seger lived the next lake over on Upper Straits Lake. At one time I lived on Cass Lake and his manager lived on that lake too. We would regularly see the entourage on the lake.

You missed Jeff Daniels...Jeff, wife and kids have lived in Chelsea Mi for years....sometimes, you can run into them at the grocery store.

I used to live down the street from Bob Seger’s Orchard Lake house for 23 years until a few months ago I moved to Charlevoix. Seeing his house from the road and the lake is unreal.

Joe Elliot the lead singer of def leopard had a place in the little town I live in called Vulcan,MI in the upper peninsula. It's not the biggest place but for around here it's unbelievable.

I used to drive by eminem's old house when he lived there. It was on my way to where I worked. It was cool. I didn't know Bob Seager lived here though so that actually surprised me and that's awesome i love night moves.

Been by bob segers house on upper straitwso many times. I used to go out on a boat there all the time! My parents used to go to his concerts for 25 cents a ticket when he used to perform at Farmington high school. Also went on a canoe trip with kid rock when I was little but didn’t know who he was at the time. My friends parents friends were close I guess. Lol

In a year or two I am going to buy a house back in Michigan. My kids and gkids still live in Vassar. Paul on Kid rock honors his cousin that killed himself about 5 years ago.

Dan Severn lives in Coldwater..back 2010 I changed his oil on his minivan while I was working at Walmart tire lube express. Was a very nice guy from my experience..he also runs a mma gym and anyone could meet him there also 😀

Friend of mine from high school in Port Huron beat up Kid Rock outside CJ Barrymore's one night. This was long before he got famous. You should do something on the Ford Mansion in Ruby, MI.

I live in Orchard Lake Village ... less than 1000 homes here in the area just around the lake. You can sometimes see Bob Seger walking his little white dog ... and he will smile and wave if you do. Pretty cool place to live but there are some huge homes here with the "average" being pulled down by some of the older cabins and cottages still in the area. An empty lot if it is lakefront can easily set you back a million or more.

Ive done the plumbing on a few new custom homes for celebrities(and mega rich people and a famous architect) scattered around the detroit area. Including one on this list.

The name Paul on Kid Rock's arm is his cousin Paul. The first time I heard Kid Rock, Bobby Ritchie, sing was at his cousin's funeral that I attended. His cousin Paul is my nephew's father.

My friend went to the Honda dealer in Traverse City for parts for his 750 cc Honda. He said that he just got there before the dealership was closing early on a Friday because they had a bike loaded on a trailer to deliver to Harbor Springs. It was a Honda Goldwing to go to Bob Segar's condo.

How do we define "celebrities"? A few Detroit Pistons lived in Rochester Hills and Oakland Twp because the Palace was nearby, and I knew of a few Red Wings players who lived in Novi. The guys in ICP also had a place in Novi as well. Uncle Kracker lived or lives in Harrison Twp, close to Lake St Clair Metropark. Mitch Albom lives in Franklin. He may or may not be a celebrity. I mean, he did write a bestselling book that was made into a major movie.

I hv not met Eminem, but a lot of people know he lives here. I Reside in Clinton Twp & work there.. Nice communuty with blue ribbon schools . You are correct about celebrity kids just want 2 live a normal life! My son went to school with his daughter . When I volunteered or went 2 school functions, everyone just had a good time & was respectful & down 2 earth, I never knew who she was, my son mentioned it. Seems like he did it right! (raising his daughter).

We live in Kalamazoo. Our ultra rich strongly support our city. They pay for a free college education for every kid who graduates from Kalamazoo public schools.

Surprised i didn't see this one. Maybe i didn't scroll down far enough. I used to pass Jeff Daniels' house on Cavanaugh Lake Rd. In Chelsea. It's a nice but unassuming house on lake Cavanaugh just off the I-94/Kalmbach Rd. Exit west of Ann Arbor. Never saw him around town though. Also Michael Moore. He lives in NY but I think he still has something here

I have run into who I would call a celebrity a few times. Brian Vander ark. Lead singer of the verve pipe in Grand rapids. Saw him at a Best Buy and again just walking down the street in Grand Rapids. I'm an old punk and grunge kid so he's a celebrity to me. I think he lives in Holland or Grand Haven area but not sure.

Jack White is a former resident of Michigan until he moved to Nashville, Tennessee. When he was living in Michigan he lived in Detroit. Just wanted to throw out that honorable mention. Also, I'm surprised we have any celebrities living here in Michigan. If there are any celebrities in Michigan, whether it's because they grew up here or decided to move here after becoming famous but still remain, it implies to me that those celebs really value their privacy, nature and are likely pretty laid back. As much as I don't care about celebrities, and there are many I wouldn't like to live in my state, none of those you listed aren't among them thankfully. I think Michigan would likely make the top 10 list for most laid-back states in the US. The only places I think that would be more laid back are the ones with lower populations that also have less activities for people to do. I've considered moving to another state to get away from the harsh winters, but I've quickly found, no other places suit me as much as Michigan. Plus, my closest family members are here. I do feel mild annoyance that Michigan is sort of looked over for the most part by people planning a vacation (especially for a winter vacation) and the only places they do go are the upper peninsula and Frankenmuth - which are great but there's more to Michigan than that. I think Detroit scares a lot of people away too. I have noticed nature lovers tend to flock here in the summer months. Am I imagining or wrong about any of this in any way?

I am in Birmingham and see a lot of the famous types and people just say "yo" and let them do their thing, don't bother them....maybe that is one reason for remaining in Mich....
