Very nice chopper, excellent detail work. I like it. But,...let's be real,..."Real Deal Old School Style" never had disc brakes. I'm not only "old school", I'm also old, and remember. ;)
ok ive been flicking through chopper vids and giving my opinion and rating out of 10 for badassness lol you chopper is a beast mate and when you did the driveby and give it a gut full your rating went up a few points to a sweet 9/10.
In Oregon atleast (not sure about Hawaii) It's leagal not to have turn signals. You have to have brake lights/tail lights, and head lights. but you can get by with just useing hand signals on a motorbike (although it's not recomended). I even asked ODOT about it. Plus i've ridden plenty of DOT licensed choppers w/out turn signals (with police behind me) without a problem.
There is no other sound that comes close to the Harley thunder, it's perfect, but, slapping on a set of Hemi heads to the engine and it'll get even better(if your not satisfyed by perfection so to say).
that's one great old school chopper, great bike! Top 5 Harley engines: #1=Panhead #2=Knucklehead #3=Blockhead(a.k.a EVO) #4=Twin-Cam #5=Shovelhead. (my favourites, and yes EVO and Twin-Cam Is real Harley engines). What can it cost to build a bike like this overall? Then i don't mean pay expensive elite builders, but simply building as much as you can yourself, to keep the costs down, any ideas?
If, i was about to build an old school chopper, what is ''required'' to do on the bike, and which year/model ''should'' it be? I just wan't to hear others suggestions and ideas, nothing more, this is just for fun. A theoretical question, or whatever you can call it.
i bought the 200 rigid from ultra with the 100 ci drive package tha same day i saw this bike. ultra and jireh cylces seems to have the best deals.what tank do you have.king sporty?do u have the 34 and 4 frame? if so how many inches over did u go on the springer.
Actually its too good to be placed in RU-vid, damn I have been watching it 1 hour now, and thinking, how to modify my -03 Softail into a sweet bobber...
Then this is REAL MEN putt. This is serious chop, real chop stuff, miles away from transvestite pink 300-rear-tyre Nessthings, nor NASA-comp-design corkscrew pipes, or sushi Victories, or Suzies 1800...
