When i was a child, i was amazed at disney. Then i learned all they did was rotoscope. Very disappointing. Real talent is more impressive than fakery. Nice work!
What's wrong with rotoscoping it's like using a reference? It would take wayyy to long to image what something would look like. It's a good animating technique and very efficient.
It’s not all rotoscope, in fact most of it is not. They use rotoscoping as a technique to improve animations. It’s like drawing with reference. Try animating and intense running scene with a bunch a different camera angles without some kind of rotoscope, not so easy. They do regular animation too. Disney’s great, stop acting like s o m e rotoscoping is so bad. Even many anime use rotoscoping for things like fight scenes and complicated shifting camera angles. Disney and many other animation studios use rotoscoping as reference in animation. Don’t complain about something you don’t know much about.

They print out a modified version of a picture (black and white, and looks like a drawing) then they use pencil and other real tools to draw over it (stronger highlights and shadows), so on the surface of paper, it looks like real drawing, but if you wanna erase it from the paper, the printed layer will be still there. Also now there are digital tools, that can transform real pictures into drawing like pictures, and they can even fake the stages of the drawing, so it looks like they work on it from time to time.
I think that fake drawing is the begining to real drawing. When I was young I always used translucent paper to copy drawing. And now I can just do it with my eyes like you. I was not very proud of me when people said that my drawing was very good, but know I can be more proud of my copying :D
And if we realistic, you copie the girl from a photo, and maybe you download from internet; you used many tecnology to do your copie. If you made your draws with only traditional tecniques you could have a point but is not like that. Time changes and we most change with him to be better than our ancestros ( past people).
@@ricardoromero1994 Should he draw on a wall with his own blood or use ash too? Because he shouldn't be using tools like paper or the pencils, then. There's a difference between using certain tools to do his job, like a pencil, or the picture of someone instead of a live model, and just plainly faking the drawing by modifying a printed black and white version of said picture. Call it art (at least it's billions better than putting a completely white, and sometimes blank, paint on a wall and calling it art), but the problem appears when people try to make that pass as a "drawing" when it isn't. And that is what this video is about.
