Here we have footage of Talha's real driving test, in which is passed with only 1 driver fault.
During the test Talha had various multiple lane roads where he needed to decide what lane to use, various traffic lights, many of which changed to amber as he was near them. He was also asked to do a parallel park immediately followed by an emergency stop.
On the video I give a full commentary to help you understand what Talha is doing and why.

Timestamps: 1:25 - Triple roundabout after leaving test centre. 7:50 -Traffic light fault. 8:55 - Pull up on the left 1. 10:25 - Double roundabout, including squareabout. 12:35 - Entering dual-carriageway and then turning left after bus lane. 15:00 - Fast moving / busy roundabout, taking 2nd exit. 16:25 - 3 lane traffic light controlled spiral roundabout, taking 2nd exit. 17:42 - 3 lane roundabout, fast moving and busy. 20:15 - Pull up on the left 2. 22:12 - Parallel park. 24:30 - Emergency stop. 26:45 - Pull up on the left 3. 30:20 - Overtaking other learner on test! 30:50 - Triple roundabout, on the way back to test centre.

@7:57 other examiners would have given a serious fault as you mentioned there was plenty of time to stop at traffic lights.

The pull up on the left for parallel parking @22:30 is near a bus stop, does the examiner decide. I thought you not supposed to pull up in certain places.

unlikely, as the light was still on amber as passing the stop line. If the light was red when passing the stop line that would be illegal, so a serious fault.

Yes examiner would have specified place to parked at 22:30 as they were doing parallel park so examiner needed a set space to do that. Even if Talha chose this spot it would be ok, as even though there is a bus stop opposite, very well spotted, the road is wide enough that even if a bus stopped there other traffic could still pass. If it was opposite a junction, that would be different, as you should keep at least 10 meters from a junction.

This video is SO useful. I really love how you point everything out as you go along - like stay in the left lane usually to go straight on a roundabout, keep an eye on speed limit changes, etc. These are the things I really struggle to remember, so it's super helpful! Thank you!!

Talha review: Laurence is amazing! Extremely helpful, patient and friendly throughout the lessons we had. Super observant and always highlighting areas for improvement but also things that have gone well. Both of which greatly improved my confidence throughout and after passing. He always encouraged asking questions and took the time to answer them fully, whether that was through demonstration/showing examples in the lessons or via email/text. I absolutely would not have passed my test without him and feel very prepared in driving going forwards which is absolutely down to Laurence and his lessons! His RU-vid videos are also very informative and a great way to refresh on things as well as prepare for both the theory and practical tests. Fantastic instructor and would 100% recommend!

I’ve got my test coming up in April I’m learning in an automatic car, my driving as in control steering mirror signals all ok, but the rules of road, right of way on certain roads etc I keep making the same mistakes are there any videos that will help me remember, I lose a bit more confidence each time I get it wrong 😞 if you could help I’d be so grateful, thank you

At 16.25 it was national speed limit with lights does it mean 30 then instead of 60? I am confused

National speed limit is NOT 30mph, refer to the highway code. National speed limit is the MAXIMUM speed on the road, depend on road type and vehicle. dual carriageway national speed limit is 70mph, on single carriageway it is 60mph, this is for a CAR, it differs for buses, towing and lorries. A 30mph road is a restricted speed limit, these are typically used on build up / residential areas, and can be identified by the presence of street lights, if the speed limit is different then there would be signs to say so.

It is strange isn't it, happens quite often, don't know why they don't just use separate routes rather than a constant game of overtaking and following each other.

yes correct. 4/5 test will have you following sat nav for about 20 minutes. 1/5 test will have you following road signs for about 20 minutes.

From my understanding, I should be checking my blind-spot when pulling out from the side of the road and changing lanes on a dual carriageway/motorway. Is it necessary to check your left blind spot when exiting a roundabout (3rd exit)? Or is middle mirror, left mirror & left signal enough when exiting a roundabout 3rd exit?

Yes only check blindspots when reversing, not necessarily needed when changing lanes as you should constantly be aware of where cars are around you when wanting to change lane and not on roundabouts, keep your eyes on the road ahead you should be aware of cars near you
