I'm a lawyer in Portugal and here there are some differences. In Portugal, the judge never gives a verdict. To summarize, a verdict is the decision reached by a jury regarding the defendant's guilt or innocence, while a judgment is the formal decision issued by the court. Anyway, I'm happy because I'm learning about others systems 😁

Hi Mr. James, this was wonderful lesson for me and on your clothes, there is no comments, you are well poised.
@dperry9406
@dperry9406 7 лет назад
manuel costa William, well poised yes, but his clothes are terribly matched. A dark brown or black sport coat with a grey vest, blue and white striped shirt with a copper bow tie? No. Hell no! Well poised? Heaven yeah! Good info? Most def. But a little constructive criticism, the both of you would benefit from learning about and staying monochromatic in fashion

Never knew learning could be so much fun. Also liked the drawings, it makes things (for me at least) easier to learn when you have a picture associated with the term. I heard all the terms before (from tv shows) but still nice to hear them again. Well done, James. :)

There is no "innocent" before court :) Only guilty and not guilty.
@gdolphy
@gdolphy 5 лет назад
Three years late but as a software developer I have come to recognize that as a "root kit virus". It is a highly compressed statement that when un-packed has one result and will be activated by the defendants voice. Based on my comprehension of the brains databases the Guilty and Not Guilty will be viewed as a mathematical inverse of each other. When you take the absolute value of that statement you will only get GUILTY. EX: -1, +1, 1. The absolute value 1 in language is also seen as +1. So there are 2/3 more affirmation of guilt than there is of not guilt. Simpler example: 1- Hey baby lets have sex, I don't have aids. 2- Hey baby lets have sex, I have aids. 3- Hey baby lets have sex, aids. Would you want to have sex after any of those statements?
@jackietumarae5550
@jackietumarae5550 5 лет назад
Yes that is true, however if you represent yourself you can plead innocent. Also the court will interpret innocent as not guilty. Interesting because they often treat you as guilty till proven not guilty. Everything seems backwards in court.
@ozgeozge1458
@ozgeozge1458 4 года назад
There is only suspect before court. Can not be guilty,not guilty, innocent etc.
@warrentoles3127

It's actually better guilty not guilty. If you claim innocence the burden of proof is on you.

Basic , and useful info. What if you have the knowledge to represent your self and not have to hire an agent of the court? Thumbs up for this, but it goes deeper than you explain! I have been to prison and the pearly gates, and now 23 years later, after paying my SO CALLED DEBT TO SOCIETY, aka the crown, government and Vatican, my birth bond has been drained, and my slavery expanded to a new level, all for commerce, and Admiralty Maritime Law! The Brits, law of the sea, Vatican's law ow of the air, but what about the law of the land? Gone, but all law is based on contract, and if you know your rights , you retain them! Educate yourselves for the contracts that have been breached, and be able to keep your honor, status, and independence from the foreign power operating on our soil. I am just learning at the end of life, the fraud and deceit of the corporate gov. , but can think of no better way to spend my shortened life, than to enlighten the masses, that they are being deceived by fraud! When a lawyer files a certificate of appearance in court, he becomes an agent of the court! This means he will get you a good deal, but you will lose, aka kangaroo court, they get a conviction and the simple crime, if any, that you are accused of is now a negotiation to keep the machine rolling! If everyone said pick 12 and made them go thru due process, many real criminals would go free! Lawyers, as agents of the court will cop you a plea, in which 9 of 10 charges will be dropped if you plead guilty to one! This is great if you are guilty, but the fear tactics of over charging you, say for pissing in public, and you get charged with indecent exposure, and five more charges, your happy to oblige and plead to public urination and a fine. This is called the color of law, and not the law of the land! Everyone has to piss, and it's not a crime in any non western countries! I am not a lawyer, and this is only my opinion, but if you don't know your rights, you have none! Educate yourselves and learn Admiralty Maritime Law ( in control now! ) or contract law, as all laws, except natural law and the law of the land are based on contracts and international law, which trumps all, is based on materialism! I've just started my journey, and late in life, but what is happening has pissed me off, and I must speak my mind, only because i have one! The hive mentality is the elite's greatest ally!
