Martin’s parents telling him he can’t spend the night with sian anymore after she’s already pregnant is like closing the barn doors after the horses have gotten out

I didn't grow up in the best home and what was a wake up call for me was getting to spend the night at a friend's house from a different socio-economic background. It helped me realize how messed up my own family was. It motivated me to get out of there and do something with my life. Your environment can really become a prison.

The teenagers are minors, why are they given so many choices and leniency ? Someone needs to take charge as children should not be put in the position of making adult decisions.

The only persons making an effort here are the social workers.

That mother should have stepped up and taken her daughter to that doctors appointment. Made sure it happened if she was so concerned about it! Complete fail on her part. That young girl needs a strong woman figure in her life to show her the safe way through things. How to care about herself.

I can already see that 14 year girl looking at her phone while her baby screams, and her screaming at it to shut up, before returning on her phone.

NO child is ready for parenting at the age of 14. They are just kids themselves. There is no responsibility there NONE. They do what they want, when they want and were they want. I feel sorry for the unborn baby already. Babies take up ALLOT of your time. I can see grandma taking care of that baby for sure!

Where the hell are Martins parents?

There’s a lot of people in this world who should never have kids. I do think these parents probably do love their kids but don’t care to parent them. It’s easier to just give up and leave them to their own devices. The kids know their parents don’t care, that’s why the little boy never woke up his mom when he was sick in his bed during the night.

Being poor is no excuse to live like a dirty pig. And it is free to go to a park a walk making crafts with bits and bobs even just reading a story or watching a family movie together and most community have discounted and or free programs like soccer basketball swimming for low income family's.

I feel sorry for the kids who have these lousy, lazy parents.

While it may be unrealistic to expect them to change quickly, the children’s lives are passing day by day in critical periods in their childhood are passing and can never be regained.

I feel like this really speaks on how much this epidemic of mental illness has an effect from generation to generation. The messiness, lack of motivation, and drive screams that these families are battling depression.
