This whole genre of music is tinged with nostalgia for me. Makes me think of my this kid I grew up with. We'd known each other all our lives but he and I fell out when I was 15 or so. Haven't really spoken in nearly 10 years now.

I relate to this song on multiple levels but I relate to it most because of an invisible chronic illness, my life is literally “from the outside I seem fine, on the inside I’m still sick, the pills a temporary fix” no body besides my family and a few friends know. I miss weeks of school at a time and nobody knows that it’s because I’m in the hospital or can’t stand without passing out or dislocating something, or that I can’t even drink water without throwing up. I don’t want to explain myself over and over again to people who won’t fully understand

I'm still trying to figure out which version I like more! Both have their own charm. The "original" is straight forward with this cool lighthearted sound while being sad at the same time! Whereas this acoustic version just fits the mood of the lyrics way more. Either way it's a great song. I love it! Best regards from Germany:)
