The video is meant to show growth, just like the song "Summer" shows growth from earlier times, like "Anchor Down". The dude is coming out of probably a hard divorce/break up and is now on his own, he lets himself go, but then puts himself back together, and eventually takes it one step at it a time, until he goes back outside to face the world, even if it's just quickly to realize he isn't 100% ready yet. Beautiful video to match a beautiful song. Also I think it all totally represents Kyle in a really quick way.
It's interesting how people really seem not to like the lyrics to any of their songs. Yet, for me, I find it the exact words I feel. I relate to these so much. Which also kind of sucks because when I try to write lyrics myself I end up writing parts of theirs
+Klinthrin or their lyrics are basic af. look at other bands using their diction to elevate what they're saying. Real Friends shells out zombified verses of "sad" to relate to a group of people. they're more of a guilty pleasure than an actual band I would recommend

i really liked this video i saw it as he locked himself in to spend the winter alone (seasonal depression) and hopes for when it gets warmer he would feel better but when he goes outside he feels he not as ready as he hoped
This band always reflects different phases of my life, well probably not just my life i feel that a lot of people must feel the same way sometimes , how sometimes i feel sad after break up and on those lonely days you just don't know what else to do but just miss that other person .
This video was so incredible. The way it was filmed and written, and how well it related to the song... I felt this video on a very deep, emotional level. Love it.
I really enjoy the fact that Real Friends went on sort of a different Route with the new album. It's a good change. They focused on dynamics and more emotion. It's a great album, all throughout.

The videography in this video is stunning, it really makes me want summer when right now it's cold and snowing outside. Real friends always nails it with lyrics, these are beautiful. This song has become one of my favorites along with I've Given Up On You!

I love Real Friends so much!!! It was so great to see them play back in November! The fact that the movies are VHS just brings back memories from my childhood, but I don't think he had enough!
It’s been a year since he left. These lyrics right now are something I definitely relate to. Because I never thought I’d see the day where I think about him and not have it hurt…I’ve grown so much since he left. But there’s still times when I think about him and it still slightly hurts. But not as much as it used to. He truly made me believe that we had something but I was dead wrong. I know I’ll make it through this winter without him. I cant find another song that I can relate more to at the moment.
heres what i think of this video: this guy wants to be alone for almost a year. when the weather has noticeably changed and he realizes life is outside, thats why he goes outside. he probably goes back inside because he wants to make this change little by little.
I thought the video was pretty straightforward, he just got dumped and he goes into depression, but at the end when he goes back inside its because he realizes he's not ready to move on. Fits the song
This music video is perfect, it captures exactly how some of us react to losing someone important, and the song does a pretty good job at that too. Best video from Real Friends this far. 10/10
I love the way they portrayed the song through this video. Its not the most typical video, yet I feel like a lot of people live like this inside themselves (not necessarily literally in a house). But this visualizes it perfectly. Great video for one of my favorite songs on this album!
I've loved this song since the album came out, but I first found this video when I lost someone near and dear to me. Almost a year later I showed the song to someone new, who I cared very much for. Now I've lost them, and I'm back at this video again

We all know that "Cover You Up" or "I Think I'm Moving Forward" should've been used instead. Those to me seem like they would be powerful singles for this album. Introducing new fans to the essence of what Real Friends is all about. Hard riffs, relatable lyrics, jamming choruses. I don't think "Summer" and "I Don't Love You Anymore" are bad songs at all, I just think that there are more worthy songs as RF's singles. This is my favorite band after all. Not bad.
I agree with you for Cover You Up, I think that one should've been used instead of sixteen. To me sixteen is trying too hard to be like I've Given Up On You and Hebron. If I Think I'm Moving Forward were a single I would've traded that with Loose Ends. The two are kind've even with me though because they both would've been the weaker singles out of the ones they have released. Cover You Up definitely is the best song off the album though.
Robby Johnson I agree with you about sixteen. I wouldn't personally have chose that as a single either. Dan's vocals can get a little over dramatic sometimes when it comes to their slower songs, but really I think it depends on what Eric wants to write about. I disagree with you about Loose Ends and I Think I'm Moving Forward though. I personally think Loose Ends sounds too similar to Cover You Up. In ITIMF, I think the overall song on it's own is very powerful, from the lyrics to the way their implemented in the hard hitting chorus. My only problem with the song is that I feel that it's too short. But I do agree in saying that Cover You Up would've been the perfect single to release for the album. I love the song an incredible amount. And having Joe from Knuckle Puck on there during the bridge I though was wonderful. I really wish he was used during the last chorus though. Overall, not bad, but not that spectacular compared to Everyone That Dragged You Here (which is my personal favorite by RF). I did enjoy Put Yourself Back Together too.
***** I think this should have been the first single, then cover you up (or vice versa) then sixteen (you sort of need an "acoustic" song in there you know?). I love loose ends but it took some getting used to (personally) where as I loved summer and cover you up from the get go. I think there's more of a variaty of sounds on this album? It took me time to tell songs apart on the ep's because they often had the same sound. (my opinion). Can't wait to hear the new stuff live ^_^
I feel that the band decided what felt right to themselves. Although, some other songs might be more lifting in the way they produce them to us, however I think the band was gripping at the lyrics more in my opinion. I adore their choice of music videos in I Dont Love You Anymore and Summer, they deserve to be produced in the way they were, so they did a fantastic job conveying how they thought their band truly was.
I love this song and the new video. I can't even describe how close to home this has hit me. Incredible work Real Friends, hoping to hear more from you guys soon!
