A REAL-LIFE superhero has turned down six-figure offers for his home-made Batmobile - so he can continue helping sick children. Batman fanatic Zac Mihajlovic, from Camden, Australia, hand-built his very own street legal version of the car from the 1989 film starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. The 29-year-old turned his comic book fantasies into a high-octane reality by constructing a replica of the iconic vehicle. And the car has whipped up a reaction wherever it has been seen. Businessmen from across the world, including a Sheik in Dubai, have offered Zac big bucks for the Batmobile - and he has also seen his share of bizarre requests. And rather than cash-in on his dream machine, Zac decided to use his powers for good by teaming up with the Make-A-Wish foundation, who make dream’s come true for terminally-ill children.

Severed_J Edwards, it’s got nothing to do with ‘dark enough to skew visibility’ only allowed to tint 10% of the front windscreen in Australia, as in the tint stripe across the top that you see on some cars, anything more, regardless of how light, is illegal...

The BatMobile is awesome and all, what I'm impressed about is him helping kids and doing charity events Not sure if its the same guy but I heard there was also a rich guy who not only has the outfit, the Batmobile, but the man donates money to charity and visits hospitals to see the kids, and if there are any kids that can't get up or are on wires he visits them personally THAT right there is my hero!

Nah cars like these don't get stolen. Vandalized maybe, but typically thieves go for bland mass produced Hondas and the like because they are easy to sell or part out to somebody else. This car however is both insanely unique and likely uses a lot of custom non-uniform parts to the auto industry, it'd be near impossible to sell and even more impossible to hide from police.

That batmobile is truly badass, and the most iconic version of Batman’s ride of all time! It’s amazing what this man and his grandfather were able to achieve and what he’s doing to help kids around the world. If I could build any street legal version of any batmobile, it would be the Tumbler! I know it’s not as sleek as any other, but something about it just makes me love it out of all others!

Exceta PROframe Casey Putsch’s batmobile is the one you’re thinking of. I really like that one too especially because the jet turbo shaft and how it runs and drives on it rather than having a combustion engine and a jet just for show. That is what makes his example so cool. Regardless both Casey’s and this batmobile are so incredibly cool and huge respect for building them.

This version is even BETTER. I always hated the giant nipple sticking out the turbine on the original. This one is smaller and the turbine is ACTUALLY turning. Great work!
