It's just because they don't want to farm the NPCs. In Niko's video, he even said he could have if he wanted to, but that wasn't really the point of the game, not to mention it would take a lot time every time they went back and forth just to farm them.

Sam's reaction to opening the shortcut is the most accurate thing in this series. I wonder how it would change if they incorporated spells or shields. Maybe some nerf bows/crossbows.

Maybe give the option of the spear/pike. Or include a shield option while limiting rolling. Means that long range combat versus that zweihander is actually a possibility, and would be perfect for those narrow corridors.

Well the katana is 2handed and so is the axe so there wouldnt be duel wielding however one thing id like to see is a shield for the starter sword and parrys

Hey guys longtime lurker here, this was great i'd like to see more. Try loosening up the rules, a run with different weapon sets like archer and daggers etc. Throwing those daggers were awesome imagine a lotr run through. Just some ideas, thanks for the great vids.

Dual wield the sword with the axe, use the sword to block the blows from the boss while you use the axe to deal damage

Sam actually went the furthest against the boss. Did the most damage. I'm just glad SOMEONE finally got that axe. It looks like it has the most reach, which is what you need against that guy, and also does so much extra damage. I just don't understand why Sam didn't go back and get the essence. He might have been able to win with that.

Really the best tactic is: Kill enough for the Estus Flask, then using the buffer it gives, kill enough to get your best weapon, then make your way to the boss

You guys should replace the axe with a shield. That way you get to choose between longer reach and protection for the upgrade. Edit: Maybe not replace but add a shield
