Weird question, would you be able to unscrew the back and show us the inside? I’d be really interested to see how easy it may be to take the internals out and put them in a different shell myself
I just bought one today Cant wait im so excited I'm from Australia and paid $327 Definitely worth it as it's the only talking Pokedex I know of.. Also nobody else in the entire world is making and selling these , definitely so rare and valuable
@@project-zodiac6954 tbh I don’t intend to buy this, although I’m not as critical as some other commenters about it. I just wasn’t expecting to see a Shadowless Base Set given as like a mystery box lol
I did send him the video when I uploaded it, and I do think he might have seen as it as he did reply to me about it, even told me that I could send him the Pokedex to be updated with the most recent pokemon too, so I did!
Were you able to get the bluetooth to work on yours? I wasn't able to on mine. i have already connected it to my phone. But i wasn't able to connect to the site that shows the list of pokemon.
Nah, definitely not getting that, though I do find some of what the apple vision pro has to be cool, I actually don't like apple products, nor do i have any apple products. I'm happy with my quest 3.
The controls seem to be just the d-pad, so all the buttons on the flap are pointless and it takes a LOT of clicking to get to the correct option. It might have been better to have some of those buttons on the right lead to different categories, like one button for the type match ups, another for the various items a trainer might use...or when you're on the page of a pokémon each button gives a different part of the information like the stats, the types it is weak to, strong to etc., the evolutions...and of course the expanded information on ecology and the likes, as though they were real animals. And with all of that, I'm actually hoping that somebody thinks of the idea to use A.I. and add a camera to the top. That way it can recognise colors and shapes and try to match it to the ever growing database of pokémon it has trained on: with different plushies, action figures, drawings etc. That HAS to be possible. Then make it possible for that device to receive updates when attaching it to a PC so that you can still use your device when the next gen comes out and the A.I. is taught more images to train on for both existing and new pokémon, keeping your Pokédex purchase relevant without the need to buy the next version while the idea of a real pokédex becomes more atractive with a greater variety and more exact detection system so the maker receives NEW customers. I like the idea of a real life pokédex (I spent a lot of time looking on the internet to see if it had one somewhere) but while this is a nice gimicky gift, it's not quite what I'm hoping for.
I do agree that the buttons on the right could have been actual ones, and I do quickly comment on it on the video, but really that would be a lot more work to it, and will need to have a slightly different design with the hinge to get the wires from the buttons to the motherboard. I honestly don't mind everything being on the d pad, you get used to it quickly. As for the AI, I love that idea, the tags that is included kind of does that though, but ya it is a few more steps. but really that main idea is kind on it already, just not the whole AI with a camera thing. As for updating the pokedex, the creator of this product did say that people do not need to buy a whole new updated one when he updates the firmware, we can send the one we bought and he would update it and send it back. I asked if there was a way to do so ourselves, like download an update firmware, but he said due to the way the program he has for this is, that he has not been able to make it work like that. But either way it is updatable, no new purchase needed. I think what you are looking for, all the ideas and concepts at least is here in this one, at least from what you wrote and in my reply to. But going with the way you want those ideas and concepts to be handled, I can understand some dissapointment in this. The techonlogy to do what you want (with AI and the buttons) has been around for years, many years in fact. It's not a new thing, however people are only now putting AI more in the main stream compared to how it was before. This method of implementation can be done now, but really there hasnt been something like this done yet, so it will be a bit of a wait till that arrives. As for this particular product, it's honestly the first of its kind really. I wouldn't really call this a gimmicky gift given how detailed everything here is. This really is something for the fans, and honestly something I wish other fandoms would do that have similar things but no one has made.
This just seems horrible, the proportions are all off and the 3d printing lines are of an intensely amateur quality. I don't mean to be so negative but yes there is a lot of love in this but to call it a fantastic product let alone a prop is not fair.
I do not think the porpotions being off is a reason to say it's a horrible product. I mean even looking at a full picture of the original pokedex we can see there is a few details missing but is that an issue? No, it's really not considering most of the details are here. While I do wish the 3d print texture was sanded over, the feel of the quality is very strong, in no way does it feel amateurish just because you can see the lines. To say this is NOT a fantastic product or a good prop based off just that is really kind of not a fair assessment of it and a bit way too nitpicking. But if you don't like the product that's perfectly fine, you dont have to. I mean even I have a few issues with it myself which I talk about on the video. But I still do think this is an amazing and truelly fantastic product that's is also really good quality with a lot of care put in.
If you mean it in the same way that the Power Glove was once called bad when they meant good, you’d be right. If you’re talking literally, then… get out lol
