My grandfather trained the Saudia pilots and engineers back in the 60's on Boeing 707's. He worked as a senior flight engineer. But sadly the management of Saudia at that time didn't gave him respect which he deserved. He quit and started working for PAN AM where he earned so much that his kids are enjoying today.

Do they have satellite dishes where they can see programs from other countries? Are they allowed to swim in their seas and lakes? Are women allowed to wear bathing suits? Can a woman go to a restaurant by herself or with girlfriends to eat? Can she travel without her husband‘s permission? So what are the real reasons to go to SA? Money only? - Cant behave how you would like to - Cant eat things you would like to(pork) - Cant drink alcohol(beer is a must) - Cant pickup girls and have ONSs How you actually pass time in SA as a expat? Are these experiences specific to the compound? What about outside the foreign compounds? How do you get around (clothing, needing to be with a male escort etc) and mix with people and learn Arabic?
it def is different outside the compounds but the outside world is still very nice. you need to be a little more conservative with choice of clothing (abaya isn't mandatory though) and u don't HAVE to learn arabic lol, most people speak understandable english
