If you like watching gay gals grapple for glory and girlfriends, then you'll love this full movie reaction to Bottoms! Congrats to Ayo Edebiri on being crowned The World's Favorite 💅🏾
The whole rant on the way to the car where Josie just loses it was all improv and when they get to the car you can see Rachel desperately trying not to laugh
I think my favorite thing about it is Ayo Edibiri and Havana Rose Liu turn out some genuinely sincere performances for basically the most unserious dialogue. Like, the facial expressions they make and the delivery of their lines is very genuine, and the chemistry is real. But this reminds me that I still need to see Bodies, Bodies, Bodies and also No Exit which Liu stars in.
The funny thing about the Hazel fight scene is that she proved the group's unintentional point. She wasnt supposed to knock the guy out, she was supposed to defend herself. Being able to knock him over is an instant win for her, even if he got back up.
This movie is a pure win. Rachel and Ayo are in their thriving era as well as Nicholas. From the Craft: Legacy, Cinderella, and Purple Hearts to Red, White, and Royal Blue, this, and more, love the development.
to see him in a movie with Taylor zakar Perez and now Anne Hathaway the bi are winning I love following his career and keeping my eyes open for his new roles (: xx
Emma and Rachel put BOTH their feet in this movie. Like, the amount of insane jokes and details in the background of some scenes, I find something new to cackle at with every viewing. Ayo and Rachel both are such stars, and the cast in general gave 1000%. Marshawn and Nicholas are hysterical. Will definitely be keeping an eye on everyone and their next projects. Happy Thursday, nice to see you again and having a good time! Can’t wait to see what you watch next. ❤
The girl who plays Isabel (Havana Rose Liu) also played in a movie called No Exit on Hulu. She’s the main girl and it’s like a thriller/horror movie, I feel like you’d love it Alanda!
This movie was such a riot to watch in a theatre, like the collective audience reactions were such a joy to experience and be a part of, I went back to see it twice. I am so glad you enjoyed this movie as much as I thought you would, I've been excited for this video ever since Bottoms came out. It is 100% the funniest gay movie I have ever seen and instantly a forever favourite and timeless classic. Edit: Also, fun fact! So much of this movie was improvised, it really showcases Ayo and Rachel's absolute comedic genius. ALSO ALSO, if you haven't seen Shiva Baby yet, I would recommend it. It's also written by Emma Seligman and stars Rachel Sennott (and is also Queer). It is a comedy but borderline thriller with how anxiety inducing it is, but still a great time!
Not sure if you know/realise that the teacher was ex-NFL Running Back Marshawn Lynch making his feature length acting debut. In part he said he wanted to do the film for the sake of his sister. He didn't react well when she came out and wanted to make some kind of amends. (They're OK now, he walked her down the aisle)
The "dont look at me right now" while watching them kiss is so real 😭😭 This was definitely the best movie of 2023, it's literally just nonstop fun, loved your reaction❤️
I've said it before and I'll say it again: this movie gives "Superbad" energy for us girls, gays and theys. It's the hardest I've laughed at a comedy in a long time. Ayo and Rachel are an unmatched comedy duo (check out their Comedy Central short series!) and I can't wait to see what they do next.
"She's not a sk@nk she's a CRIMINAL!" Had me laughing the most out of all the times I laughed watching this video. I feel like I'm gonna quote this whenever I think of it and I'm by myself even tho the context what she did was FOUL! Your delivery was just so funny and like, that's such a crazy sentence! 😭
I hope you know how much joy you bring to people....with the world on fire there is nothing like escaping for just a little bit watching a movie and feel like you are with the friend that makes movies more fun...we all think it but you say it....thank you for having a safe space where we can have some fun and reset our mindsets even if it's just 45 minutes ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The amount of cackling and I did while watching this movie is unparalleled! I laughed as much with this movie as I cried with Godzilla Minus One (which TOTALLY needs to go on the list for when it comes out). That movie will have so many reactions lol Back to Bottoms, if this means we get more 2000s-style comedies then I will not complain. Absolute romp of a film!
Ive been waiting for this moment since Bottoms came out!! Ahh. Love it. I have a suggestion for a movie btw, you should totally check out Popcorn (1991). It’s a bit of a deep cut. It’s a cult classic whodunnit, very underrated but so cool and stunning and if you like Scream you’ll enjoy it!
Oh and its my absolute dream for you to react to Jurassic Park!! The original movies of course (1-3), I think it'd be a fun series. Those are my favorite movies and they're not exactly classified as horror but they kinda are which is interesting to think about them that way (the dinosaurs being the "villains").
“You light skin opp” PLEASSSJSJSJENE 😂 that was my inner monologue the whole time he was on screen Edit: not “now he’s a lightskin ally” I’m literally crying💀😂
I'm so glad you're doing this one, Alanda... brilliantly hilarious! 😆 Cheers to writer/director Emma Seligman. ෴ And a very happy 2024 and beyond to you and yours! 🎆
Your laugh brings me so much joy so I knew I was in for a treat with this video hahaha best movie thats come out in recent memory!! Theres so many hilarious things going on in the background of shots in this movie so its an awesome rewatch too!
I’m currently on vacation on the biggest cruise ship in the world. When I got the notification about this video I SPRINTED to the bar, grabbed a Long Island, and watched it. 45 minutes of this vacation well spent! 😂
FWIW I love your love of love girl! Nothing to be ashamed of, kick those ankles, we love to see it! Especially during the rare movie made for people who understand that second wave joke!
Loved your reaction! It’s like watching the movie for the first time. 😍 so happy u included the pj/hazel at the end, that scene was really cute, feel so giddy watching it all the time. So obsessed with this movie! Thanks❣️
Just got home from an 8 hour grave yard shift. What a treat this is!! Also I love your hair ribbons. You inspire to want to have fun with my natural 4C hair. Love you Alanda! Thank you for all you do
I was saving this reaction for a rainy, stormy, gloomy day, and it was so worth it. This made my day! My heart is full, I have butterflies from pure joy, and my face hurts from smiling and laughing too much. THANK YOUUUU
This is one of my favorite current comedies; it has everything I want in it. And whoever is Ayo Edebiri's agent is the MVP; 2023 was such a banger year for her.
I've held off on seeing your reaction because I hadn't seen it yet. I finally watched it last night and died multiple times. Just hilarious from beginning to end, and now I can watch my favorite reactor.
I thought it was really funny and telling when he said “I played the role of an amazing ally” because he didn’t say “I was an amazing ally” he said “I played the role” and that makes it even funnier to me
