@Anto Erickson Corrupt? Do you have any evidence to back your allegations? Real Madrid has never been so profitable under Florentino Perez presidency. Perez built Ciudad de Madrid and is currently renovating the Santiago Bernabéu. The club during the ongoing pandemic even managed to turn € 313,000 profit without cutting wages of players and staff. The only thing cut is bonus for winning La Liga last season. Zidane is actually a great model of a soft spoken manager. He always backs up his players and never speaks ill about them publicly. Never argues with referees.

I think Real Madrid have dealt with the pandamic better than anyone else...The shift from galactico signings to young upcoming talents like Vini, Rodrigo, Kubo, Odegaard, Renier etc means inspite of not spending any money in the summer, and maybe in the next few windows, they still have a squad able to compete for la liga ( may not be enough for CL though) RM still posted profits this year coz they haven't signed anyone, and convinced players and board for Paycut...The decision to prepone stadium plans means the would be able to cushion part of the blow from loss in stadium revenue due to Covid..I think by 2022 they'll be ready to open New Bernabeu with new galacticos Mbappe and Haaland..I'm contrast Barcelona seems to be in ruins...Loss of ticket sales now due to Covid and again during re development of nou camp , No agreement yet on a pay cut of one of the highest wage bills in europe, an aging squad, unhappy Captain..

Yeah bartomeu rlly messed things up. It was constant decline once he became president. It started a little after 14/15 then we dropped alot after neymar transferred and then our form is super inconsistent and our coach doesnt want to use our good young players bcs he holds grudges.

IIRC, Florentino made a rule in which the only way you can be a candidate for the presidency is by being a member for something like 40 years and having a personal wealth of several million euros. Which means basically only he can be a candidate lol

It's 20 uninterrupted years as a "socio" in order to qualify as a candidate for the presidency, and being able to back up through an "aval" up to 15% of the club's budget, so yeah, it's only missing putting up an additional requisite that your name has to start with an F and finish with a -lorentino. Floren will be president by default until he dies or gets tired of it, as almost nobody else qualifies to run against him according to those conditions, and let's see who will be able to run when he's not there.

Florentino Perez is more than welcome to remain as el presidenté. I say this because his natural enemy has returned to FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta. Laporta led the club overhaul that began a cycle of great success which was eventually undone by bartomeu who was carrying on the work of Sandro Rosell. My hope is that Laporta can find similar success returning the club to its core values as happened in his previous stint as club president.

This is a problem with these big Spanish clubs, why do they have voted presidents. They're just asking for mixed opinions and personal gain. A club should be run upon the football club's needs, rather than presidential elections. Would Barca have such a administrative chasm if they had a backed CEO and operating Officer, rather than an elected president.
