Served in Fallujah in 07 and 08 as an infantryman and this games definitely got the gear and uniforms done right. The graphics look great as well. I wish the flashlights on the rifles were a bit stronger lol ! This game is about to be hard as hell to play.
Thank you for your service, as a civilian this looks so good, the attention to detail like the way the characters even move their non trigger hand to reach for their radio when in coms (you can tell I'm a civie lol) 👍
Thank you for your service bro. I agree it looks great mostly excited for the procedural generation as it really simulates the fact that soldiers really had no idea what they were going into in fallujah.
I wasn't in Falluja but I was in Tallafar then Ramadi. It looked and felt a lot like this. This game brings it back in a way that is all too real. Awesome work on the Devs.
@@TheMoistBanana Once I got over the unsettling feeling of seeing it, hearing it, I'm okay. Thank God they aren't able to reproduce the smells. That would be too much for me. But yeah, I'll totally play it once I get my new rig. But the game did take me by surprise with how authentic it is.
Seeing this level of realism is absolutely breathtaking. I'm so burnt out on the same team deathmatch, same conquest modes. This is what the FPS genre needs more of.
Different strokes for Different folks I would say. I only got onto tactical shooters when I started playing the swat games a few years back and got immediately addicted. I generally prefer the slower more deliberate pace in mil sim type games. But I do think casual shooters are fun aswell. But six days in fallujah and ready or not make me tense and actually react naturally than being a killing machine. When your heart is pounding that's when you know the game did a good job.
I can’t even imagine getting shot at and you look out there and see 30 different spots it could’ve come from. Thank you for your service and our veterans. God bless America 🇺🇸
Never been to Fallujah. Before my time. However , ive been infantry for 9 years now. Ive deployed 3 times in the ME. This is very accurate to how their cities look even today. If they really want to bump uo the realism throw a bunch of stray dogs in there. Theyre everywhere. Super stoked to play this and nothing but respect to those before me.
@@jorgegerardorojas8222Yeah. That’s usually what happens when a country fucks with the US and harbors fugitive terrorists who attacked US civilians. Easy solution; don’t fuck with the US unless you want your homeland ravaged…
This is looking pretty damn good so far. All they need to work on in my opinion is weapon handling animations, movement and enemy AI. The weapon animations, especially reloading, look kinda stiff and dated for a game like this. But the details of the fingers moving around when holding the gun is a nice touch. Also I hope the FOV can be adjusted, the gun looks really close to the player’s face. The enemy AI is already scary and formidable, but I feel like more to them can increase the randomness and chaotic nature of the battle. Enemies that can blind fire behind cover and around corners, set traps, hide in strange positions, shoot as they run past doorways/hallways/alleyways and and try to shoot through doors and window shutters would definitely crank it up to 11. Maybe they can also add miscellaneous details like dust particles floating in front of your flashlight in interiors, blood pools coming from bodies, and enemies writhing on the ground from wounds that didn’t kill. I hope players can also use shotguns for breaching and be able to provide sniper support. I also hope players can go up against snipers and enemy machine gun emplacements. And I know they don’t have to do it but since it’s going on Steam I pray they add workshop support for custom situations. It seems the devs are really good at taking feedback though and it’s still going to be in early access to so I trust them to definitely improve these things and deliver. I have hope that this is going to be something wild.
Hey everyone! Thanks for the comments as this is a new form of content we are testing Just as a heads up! First Run ( Raw): 0:30 Second Run (Raw): 5:28 Interview of Marines who played: 10:00
This is the first game that I’ve seen make even the voice chat realistic. When you’re near teammates it becomes open mic and when you move away it becomes push to talk, you have to stop shooting to talk, and there’s a filter that adds static and distortion. Incredible.
3:03 damn I can’t imagine how many service members thought that before it was too late. I’ve trained in clearing and so have you guys, and I didn’t even catch that corner. A small mistake in the game but a life ender in real time.
And thinking about it now, the AI in the corner didn’t act dumb like in other games. The players were in a firefight already, but that specific AI remained in the corner and laid out a surprise ambush. Absolutely terrifying.
One thing you learn in the army is: No matter how hard you trained, whether it’s special forces or infantry or combat engineer. The enemy has trained just as hard, so don’t expect them to act stupid, or you’ll have another Operation Red Wings on your hands.
Cant wait to play it. And that Glid Gaming got the possibility to play it early is a HUGE step G. Well deserved! Teamplay is top tier! Love it! Thanks for sharing brother 👊🏻
I watch a lot of GLIDS crew work and this is awesome. Can't wait for the game as a whole to come out and get to play. After watching GLID and the guys for about 2 years now I have changed my whole gaming style. No more run in gun. Check corners windows and if your the last man you better mind the rear. Watching these guys is like going to school. Thanks for teaching fellas. And as always the up most respect for the military and first responders 👍👍👊👊👊
yeah I was upset that they had to set the game back because it was gonna cause some "controversy" but Im so hyped that they never gave up on it and brought it back game looks amazing
I got denied twice for bad hearing but this game makes you feel like you are there.I think movement could use some more work but i think its spot on everything else. What i like most is the voices sound like you are in the room in a intense area that was cool.Ive always respected history so hopefully they can do stuff based in afghanistan in the future.
I haven't been this excited for a fps since I was introduced to insurgency sandstorm many moons ago. I'm glad they decided to take their time with this. Can't wait to play it.
I really, REALLY, want see you play Beautiful Light!!! It's the perfect mix between Ready or Not and Resident Evil, i already love it and i'm curious how about you and your friends will fight against "real" monsters!
I hope after the launch on Console and the game is successful, I personally hope they will make Black Hawk Down either a new Game or some sort of DLC I would love to experience this type of combat in Somalia. That would be one hell of an experience.
This is such a killer game GLID you guys are killin it, I am trying to hold off onto watching any vids so I get surprised when I get the Early Access but the first mission with the flag was a treat.
As a civi I have the utmost respect for anyone who serves their country in any type of military capacity (especially the frontline soldiers), you guys and girls are far braver than the average human being! I can't wait to "experience" this type of scenario in the safest way possible lol. Much love and respect 👊❤
GLID message. It would be fantastic to see them add different playable factions along with voice lines and missions (ie: United Kingdom, Canada, etcetera) added into the game. Hopefully you can express this to the devs, many thanks brother🇬🇧
Flashlights are too weak, but i love the comms, not only the animation for the radio, but the fact that it sounds like they are actually talking there with the eco and all that stuff, very nice.
Crazy to think i had my 18th birthday in basic training in 02, then my 19th on Op Telic back in 03. 20 years gone by but it feels like last month seeing how just like Iraq this game looks.
Semper Fi Devil Dogs. Mad respect for all military branches. We may give each other shit when we see different branches of military. When it comes down to it we are all in the same gang. Trying to get home to our families. I've been ready for this game for years. I've had this on my Steam wishlist since Oct. 2021.
On one side i love that we live in an age that indie developer can do games like this since the market was starving for it, we were and are fed glorified goofy immature stuff, pink guns with rainbow clowns attachement sprinting 20khm on closed bulding like a kid on sugar. On the other hand i know this game will be shitfaced by gaming urinalist and pearl clutchers, they and also big developers hate your succes they hate us gamers. I may not play this a lot but damn i'm with you just because i effing hate censorship and bullies that tried to bury you.
One difference in video games vs rl, is in the Army we were trained to shoot at the chest, not the head. We do this in video games cuz it's almost always a guaranteed kill. Imagine if someone were shot in the head in with had their head turned and a bullet hit a metal part or at a certain angle the thickest part of the enemy's helmet and ricochet off. It's very rare but can and does happen.
Hopefully with more development you can use the armor more, always staying behind it and bounding from the rear if you have to clear buildings while using armor for cover.
I didn't expext Q&A at the end that was a really nice touch. What I'm not a fan of is that you as a player can play only with 4 players in coop. Other than that this game is really i impressive. Nice job on the gameplay too.
Balls of pure steel the soldiers that had to go through this. I dont know much about military stuff but this game looks and sounds like every clip ive seen of war in either film or real media in the last decade or so. I gave it ago yesterday and i was blown away with how real it felt. The ai sometimes is wonky but overall it felt terrifying, especially on solo. Cant wait to see where this game goes.
Ugh I wish they had games like this on console. I’m getting Insurgency Sandstorm soon cuz that’s the closest thing they have to this. I can’t buy a PC or anything that can run Steam well cuz I have to buy a car
The one thing America's Army has on all games is that it's two sided and no matter what side you're on you are an American. You see the other team as enemies and can capture their weapons. That would be a major plus for this simulator, otherwise it looks pretty cool.
Oh, I am _so_ buying this for Xbox One. Not on launch day, or even in the same month, but unless there's some screw-all problem(s), I'm getting it. And then, no doubt, getting my butt kicked in it.
I can’t wait for this game being tactical is the way love the details of the video this game looks amazing I love the content you put out Gild you’re videos are always awesome
I guess you guys are just trying to make more content for the channel? I was a bit disappointed at first, that the man himself isn’t present, but.. the ethos of the channel- the coms, the coordination, the professional, tactical gameplay is all present and correct, so have at it. More content is more content!
I hope the player count can be increased because it doesn't make any sense for four guys with an AAV to go clearing lane by lane with no other support or more units nearby, I'm looking forward to playing it but I'll be disappointed if the player cap stays in 4
I do wish the AI responded to gunfire and being wounded. Like Insurgency or Tannenberg. Tannenberg was a horror game because of that aspect. Shoot an enemy in the wrong spot and listen to him cry in pain and call for his mom in his dying moments. 😐 Early access though.
Damn, the game was realistic if they added some gore like sandstorm or hell let loose it would be a PTSD simulator. Btw, I have questions in the early days that attachment is rare or expensive for the military(or it's early to developing the attachment) to spend during the Fallujah war (I don't know what war is called)
