Everyone is commenting on the chimes, which are about the prettiest I have seen. But not many have commented on your beautiful old piece of wood & mushrooms. I think that was a genius idea you had. It is outstanding piece of work with God's old wood & mushrooms. If you can find in a craft store or florist shop little wasps for the wasp nest that would look nice. Several years ago I painted my mailbox with a little limb & blooms on it. Then I painted a little bird & nest on it. I had found some little eggs bugs etc. In a craft store & bought them not knowing what I'd do with them & it hit me I glued 3 little eggs in the nest. So cute & I used a hot glue. I knew the little monsters would try to pull them off but they just couldn't LOL YOU ARE GREAT.

Such an idyllic scene.....really feels like spring I believe the mushrooms you have are called “artists mushrooms” because artists would etch designs into the hard bottom area with a sharp pointed instrument of some sort and create a beautiful scene that would be a sepia tone. I’m in SC now but came from Mass where I worked for Mass Audubon Society as a guide and taught classes in Ipswich Wildlife Sanctuary. At one time I found one of those mushrooms that was the size of a turkey platter and I kept it on my mantle for many years..... even used it in show for the Mass Horticulture Society Christmas Show, with greens. It was so beautiful with cones and natural materials on a mantle.....

Ms Helen I went walking in the woods here and found my first mushroom. You was the first person who came in my mind.

Absolutely gorgeous ! I love the mushrooms. Also love the wind chimes. I’m planning to make wind chimes for myself using a rice colander, spoons, and small chains. The spoons hang from the bottom of the colander. Then you put moss and potting soil in the bowl of the colander and plant succulents like string of pearls and string of bananas with a few echeveriasin it. Makes a beautiful hanging planter wind chime !

I love this tutorial. I love watching You paint the mushrooms and the plank or shingle. I don't see the kind of mushrooms that You have Their up North where I live. We just get the white, very poisoned mushrooms and brown poisoned ones also. We or I won't touch them. I have never seen the hard type like the beautiful ones on your property. I love your property. It is pretty there with The woods and water holes. I love the colors that You have used too. I am sure that Your Son loved it. I live way up North in Rapid City, South Dakota.
