I have lived in Blackpool for 26 years now but I was born in Birmingham and spent many years walking around cannock chase it is a stunning place and I have been fortunate to see Many strange things there that I can't explain
I now live in Australia but as a young boy my family and I live'd on Brindley Heath Crescent. AND as children played in Cannock Chase on a daily basis right up until we left England in 1977, And in all my time living there I never saw one thing that was out of the ordinary other than a man that was completely Green, yes sounds strange, but that's what I saw he actually chased us boys through the pit.has back then I guess in the mid 60s there was a coalmine across the street, AND a blue Bridge that went across I have since looked at Google Earth and the place is barely recognisable. BUT Number ** is still the same but there is no longer a coal mine across the way from it.BOY I miss my childhood there it is good to hear my own language being spoken by this man, I hope to get back there one day before I fall off my perch. AS this place was some of my fondest memories,of my childhood, I had a friend Paul Bridge and the Mackenzies bothers .not so much lol up the top. I wonder if those guys are still there. BOY I miss my home🇦🇺🇬🇧👍
I grew up opposite Cannock Chase, in the Trent Valley near Weetman's Bridge where, many years ago there were reputed sightings of a phantom woman on the Stafford to Rugeley road. These resurfaced again in the 1980s, reputedly involving a councillor returning from Stafford. Similarly I also encountered the lady when returning from a church meeting a few weeks later - it was a wet, foggy night, at a point where the road dips into a hollow and then rises again. In front of me appeared a tall, female figure - the reflection of my dipped headlight beams from the oncoming rise. So many of the Chase haunting stories on here are pure baloney and twaddle - which is putting it politely.
@@sanataj Colour - only the whitey-yellow tone of the reflected headlights; all that happened was that as my lights topped the rise, so their reflection simply vanished. Really - nothing at all. As simple as that!
i see strange things over the chase. we call them orbs, bright fast moving lights that move in a random direction and turn off form the sky, it very strange
Back in the earlier 2000s me and a friend went in to Cannock chase got lost took a wrong turn and got lost for 4 hours me and my friend feel we went in to a time warp because we tried to retrace are steps but it was like everything was different while lost there was no animal noises traffic noise from cars nothing very strange and have never been back
me a a few lads went camping in wykeham forest north yorkshire . to cut a long story short, there were 6 of us and we all saw black shadows silhouettes of people walking between the trees from a distance . we didnt feel like we were in danger but it was creepy. we are experienced bushcrafters survivalists . all of us have solo camped and spent many years in the woods so it wasnt some type of mass hysteria fueled by fear of the woods . we saw what we saw
@@MissOrchid12 right? I have so many questions. I got the impression they were from different periods of time..but details would be fascinating to know.
@@MissOrchid12hi there, I am Brendan the man giving my account in this video. I can’t be sure about the style of clothing but I do remember thinking that the clothing they were wearing was not really suitable for the place they were or even for the time of night. Sorry I couldn’t be more specific. If you need any more info get in touch.
@@brendandavis6356 was it similar to arabic clothing? or was it modern? or was it ancient? did they seem to be humans? what about their eye sizes? or were they just looking like from the future?
The Chase can seem an eerie place, due to the serried ranks of dark pines which blanket sounds with their heavy silence, and disorientate you in their darkness. It is easy to get lost. An old villager, back in the 1970's, disappeared up there and, despite intensive searches, wasn't found until about two years later. My late grandfather, who knew area well told me of two soldiers, based in the 'town for four winters' on Brereton Plain, who also disappeared and were never traced.
Any open space is "well known" for UFO sightings, and the more they're publicised for being so, the more people 'see' UFOs. The military will investigate crashes of unidentified flying objects because they may be from an overseas country spying etc. Otherwise the video evidence for planet earth ever having been visited by beings from another planet approximates to the square root of sod all. There is no clear evidence, just lots of fake videos and natural albeit out of the ordinary phenomena. This case here is clearly a case of them seeing something in the sky that was not related to the group of people that they later saw who may have been having a late night rambling session (as groups do) and on this occasion chose to wear, for want of a better word, fancy dress. I'm certainly not doubting the guy's story, just what others may think it was. Interesting story though!
....with children?!! ...I doubt it. More likely some weird (death) cult, or perhaps even people from another dimension (parallel world???). Both ideas seem far fetched, but we know only a small percentage of things about our world - paranormal or otherwise.
That is very sad, I am sorry for your family. Do you think your grandpa is at rest? War is so tragic, I can't believe how people manage to recover and carry on. Can you imagine being on battlefields, being gassed, seeing horrible sights, being wet and cold (mice, rats, lice, trench-foot), never knowing when the next shell or bullet might come for you, or the comrade by your side? The aftermath - the trauma of the sights and sounds, survivor guilt and trouble settling into civilian life after WWI, 'the war to end all wars'. Then Spanish flu, the pandemic that killed more than the war itself. Then - Germany was at it again, only 20 years later. How could you face that suffering again?
Lots of devil worship and sceance activity taken place there over hundreds of years . All sorts of shits happened there . I’ve been over there late at night and it’s terrifying.
Yep paganism and that type of shit always went on. I went to Blake and we would always have parties up there and knock around by Marquis Drive and the Trout ponds. Always stories of Devil Worship and shit like that. Black Panthers and Bear sitings. On my mother’s life I saw a Bear up there one night in 1996. Everyone thought I was off my trolly. My dad thought it was hilarious. He told everyone and then a friend said don’t laugh he saw it two a few weeks after, reported it at Rugely Police station. They said that had hundreds of sightings. i just think it was a place where people released illegal pets if they were close to getting nicked
Me and a group of friends had a the same thing happen with the light in the sky but we didnt see any people, we did also one night see a girl in the forest as we drove past with very dark / black eye's but we have no evidence of this so take it how you like ;)
Hmm... Thought "UFO's" knocked out all electrical appliances before hand... Think you aught to leave this kindda stuff to the yanks. They're far more convincing and home to the best acting in the world now!
Eyeswideopen 333 You think? Well.... I don't see how expressing 'Freedom of speech!' gets confused with "Trollin"?. But suppose this is the day n' socialist age we live in now. I will offer that What ever your experienced eyeswideopen have seen.? 🤔Could I put my money where my moth is..? ... Sure.!
Eyeswideopen 333 I grew up near Cannock Chase and spent countless nights wild camping and night riding over there. I also worked there (for the FC) for years and never once saw or heard about anything paranormal. Now that's not me saying that these things don't happen - I find this sort of thing interesting. You could say I'm an open minded skeptic I guess. However, to assert that you KNOW that ghosts exist and that anyone who spent an evening on Cannock Chase would agree with you is one of the most ignorant and stupid comments I've seen in a while. I'd bet any amount of money that I could spend a night on any area of the Chase with no problems at all. I've done it numerous times. So yeah, you're talking rubbish.
I hate to say this mate but a few of my friends went there today on a gravel car park we parked up and me and one mate went through a footpath as the other two didn't want to go as we got back bricks were being chucked right by our feet we new this was no person as we shined our tourches from where it had came from
