@@mattm5365 Everyone’s opinions count. Your’s too. I grew up with Raider glory. Call a spade a spade. Call football futility what it is. No reason for this franchise to be in a 40 year drought. They aren’t the Lions and we’re not Lions’ fans used to bathing in mediocrity.

We lost to the Eagles in the regular season. Nobody gave us a shot vs the Oilers and Earl Campbell & the Snake. Nobody gave us a shot vs the cardiac kids and Brian Sipe in a frozen field in Cleveland. Nobody gave us a shot vs Fouts and Air Coryell. We were 7 point dogs vs the Eagles. By the way, in “83 we were up by 17 vs the Skins in RFK with 5 minutes left only for them to get 2 successful on sides kicks in a row & beat us by 3 so Black Sunday I was on the edge of my seat until 5 minutes left in the game my 13 year old brain figured out they couldn’t get 5 on sides kicks in a row at that point. Yes we haven’t got to hoist the Lombardi since then but we’ve had many really good and entertaining seasons since then. No excuses tho cuz like you aptly put everybody has a right to their own fandom. I do see an echo back to our late 70’s early 80’s headhunting defense. AP has an unmistakable swagger and seems to really understand what a Raider mentality is (probably cuz he grew up with it). If MD picked my brain (shudder….lol) I’d say give him a 3 year deal to prove it but honor the man with a shot. Same with Champ, same with PG. Bump Bo back to QB coach, look for a strong OC. Keep AOC but draft a QB & have them compete. AOC has shown many flashes of his arm talent and seems to be developing a pocket presence. Madden always focused on the trenches. That’s where the game is won & lost on both sides of the ball. Improve our depth on each side. I feel really good about the team and I hope if we do bring in Harbaugh he doesn’t tear it down. Again, just 1 fan’s opinion tho…….RN4L, Just Win Baby, Commitment To Excellence!!!!!!!

Side note…..when they played SB II it was called the AFL-NFL Championship Game. It got the moniker Superbowl for SB III (Jets/Colts)……sorry but football geek was raised with College football on Saturday then NFL Films presents after. Gotta love history!!!!!
