I know two others including myself that ordered this boat and we all had damage right out of the box. However, the boat runs amazing!

The PCF, or Patrol Craft Fast, also known as "Swift Boat" was designed as a coastal patrol craft and operated during the Viet Nam war by the US and South Vietnam. The PCF was the larger, coastal cousin of the PBR, or Patrol Boat, Riverine, which was made famous by the movie "Apocalypse Now." The both the PBR and the PCF were designed to be operated on along the coasts and up into the river deltas, the PBR had water-jet propulsion, while the PCF used the more traditional screw and rudder system, and had a draft of 5 feet, while the PBR was only 2 feet. Both the PBR and the PCF by Pro Boat are very detailed scale models of their respective patrol craft and feature lights and optional upgrades. I personally own the Pro Boat "Alpha Patrol Boat" PBR model and I am quite happy with it. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued. :-( But the Pro Boat Patrol Craft Fast is a very worth successor to the PBR.

I really LOVE your channel and reviews. I'm and RcSaylors junkie of sorts, lol. I wanted to just give you guys a "Head's Up" along with whoever may be watching this in the future, and think that everything is great, and they want to buy this boat, but they DON'T like that "Buzzing" noise it makes when you throttle it all the way up. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY EASY FIX! I have this boat and it's a lot of fun! The cabin is held to the deck quite securely with the magnets. Nonetheless, I used some of the scrap packing foam and glued some inside the cabin just in case. Yep, you'll want to use a 3S battery with this boat. That loud rattling and buzzing sound you hear in this video from the motors can be eliminated by just loosening the aluminum motor mount screws a bit. Just set it on it's stand, throttle it up, and slowly loosen the screws and you'll hear the rattling and buzzing go away. This also eliminates quite a bit of vibration too from the universal joint and prop shaft. I've checked to make sure the motors didn't move, every 2-3 runs at first, and they've stayed in the position I left them in perfectly, and NO MORE BUZZING OR RATTLING! Thank you RcSaylors!

PRO BOAT PRO TIP! Put some foam on the inside of the removable cabin... if it comes off (I saw it happen) it will sink to the bottom and cost half the price of the entire boat to replace (almost 150 bucks)

Good looking boat for being all plastic. It’s loud though needs some grease and/or balancing in the driveline. I’d be concerned too about overheating with no water cooling. I miss Aquacraft. They did scale rtr boats in all fiberglass. Thank You for sharing!

I bought this boat the other week, it was so fantastic. I really enjoy this boat. I like max speed also for me its like scale speed because its a swift boat should be fast and when its on the full speed i like the front goes up. This boat is like the shaldag class of israel. I hope pro boat makes other scale boats that is only 500 dollars below for rtr for people like me that doesnt want to assemble. Its really nice. I only wish for this boat is the optional turret, should be more easier to upgrade, if i go upgrade you to buy new controller

I have the Riverine Patrol Boat 22" (discontinued). It seems faster and much quieter than this PT boat version. Although the one in this video sure looks COOL! It has much much more detail.

replace those noisy motors with a 55 turn crawler motor and you will get better slow speed performance and a much quieter running boat... add some weathering and youll have a decent scale boat

Point of fact, UPS never went on strike. The issues were resolved prior to the deadline. It sounds like the transmitter wasn’t secured well enough and also the packaging around those super delicate parts was insufficient. Perhaps Pro Boat should take note and address that issue and make them parts for installation after unboxing.

Hey Nate , I've been thinking about the beacon on the broken tower ..... 🤔 I bet it'll work if you only glue the plastic and let the rod touch. BUT for added structure AND electric conductivity use a piece of house wire I'd start with 10gauge if that's too big, go 12 14 etc just like RCs lol . OR if all else fails roll up some foil and jam it in 😉 Either way Ta-da all fixed 👍

Seems a bit too fast at full speed, but better have too much power, and be able to reduce it, than lacking it. It will probably look more scale on 2S. Btw, the connection between the superstructure and the boat isn't wireless, as it using WiFi or and transmission technology, but just seems to use spring loaded contact pins, that make connection when the superstructure snaps into place. They added magnets on either side of the 'wireless' connector, to ensure it will be held back together well

Geez, send the boat back. The "negative things" you said you'd soon report on all were damage during shipping problems. They aren't Proboat weak parts problems, they were a loose transmitter, etc., box flying around inside. So, unless Proboat/Horizon Hobbies didn't fasten down well enough the radio transmitter inside, the delivery company is entirely to blame for the broken mast and disconnected LED light. The front gunner's railing you said that was bent is made of metal. That package was punted by UPS, Fed-Ex or whoever, sounds like. -- I have Proboat's [now] discontinued PBR. R/C boaters today don't want anything scale/historical and authentic in REAL ship copies unless it's just a version of a realistic-looking pro-racing speed boat. Aquacraft is dead. Now Proboat only makes a single airboat and a rescue tugboat, the kinds of *unique* RTR boats Aquacraft made. RIP Tower Hobbies.
