I believe the BJP bears significant responsibility for the current situation in Bengal. When initial demands for the imposition of President's Rule were raised, the BJP did not take them seriously, leading to missed opportunities to address growing concerns. The TMC appears to be losing popular support, yet they continue to retain power, largely through the actions of their aggressive supporters. Ordinary citizens of Bengal are primarily seeking security from the central government, which would enable them to vote without fear. The central government's reluctance or unwillingness to provide adequate security has exacerbated the situation, leaving people vulnerable and contributing to the ongoing turmoil in the region. This lack of action has resulted in a dire situation, where the democratic process is undermined by intimidation and violence.
