I used the word 'strife' poorly. A more accurate explanation would be that in PvP, there's a compression of Damage and Life stats, One of the reasons why players don't tend to focus on Ruby and Tourmaline gems. Susan Owns DI NOW - STATE OF THE MARKET ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pZWfredjMPw.html
the number 1 reason is that the stats do not scale if rubies and tourmalines gave 1% life/dmg per rank to 10% even if they went to 5% with .5% increses per rank it would be a competitive gem, as it stands right now these gems value was based on the original hell 1,2,3 lvls they introduced when 4800 hp at rank 10 was 5% of the player health pool, but 4800 now when whales have 800k hp is neligible.
Please tell the developers to add Daniel in the game and Daniel will buy all unsold items in the market for minimum price. If you don't want Daniel to buy your stuff then don't sell for minimum price. Familiar with rare skills are cursed since no one will buy above 2000-16000 for familiar.
If it scales by percentage what do you think is the effect on whales? Wouldn't it make them more tanky and harder to kill and have more damage considering that they have more access to normal gems. Would you rather have that? Bit counter productive on balance and stability.
I have noticed since i made a rank 8 ruby, my survivability is a little better both pve/pvp. Plus life or upgrading rubies also increases dmg. It's not much, but it's something. Rubies & Tourmaline go hand in hand, once you make a rank 8+ tour you atleast wanna socket rank 7 rubies as fillers until you can make another rank 7+ Tourmaline to replace. This is most important having 2k+ reso. As normal gems is in a ladder format, especially for f2p/ low spenders.
Hmmm. To some degree we still need to invest in red normal gem slot as something is better than nothing. The price just commensurate its value. And everyone is on the same boat so its fine. We can just think of it as some sort of rairity among normal gems. Distinction is not always bad. An argument can be made that upgrading it for the bonus would be beneficial. And since it is cheap and someone would invest more on it than other, it would have the similar effect of upgrading a cheap 5* gem for resonance. I know the value is bad but at least the option is there. In a way its like build diversity.
Totally agree bro, They should adjust the Red socket gems to at least where it makes a difference, I.e. someone with all rank 8 Tourmalines & Rank 8 Ruby's to someone (same reso) with all Rank 7 (Same set up) there is not much difference, if anything the guy with Rank 7 Tourmalines & has a few better str/int gear may have higher dmg
Another factor is how small a percentage increase the red gems give to your overall stats compared to the blue and yellow ones. 216 damage is less than 1% of most players’ damage. It’s even worse when it comes to life.
It should be a +% dmg or life increase that stacks independently to follow whatever the sate player's stats are over the game evolution. (I just read some comments and it seems everyone sees the same obvious thing... but teh devs can't see that) Linear increase for cubic costs is why I haven't run a lair in 6 months.
Just a little reminder Montebanks green set benefits from total vitality value when triggered so l invest in cheap rubies for this reason you gotta put something in the slot!
After the latest update, in Anu, Tourmaline and Ruby become junk gems that onbody want.. while the market is completely dead now. Thanks Devs to make this happens.. 😂
Nobody is interested in R and T gems because damage and HP are nerfed every time people are inside PVPs like BG and Vault. So it's reasonable not to prioritize those because they're only good for PVE. Thus, it can be alleviated by any means other than gems from the viewpoint of PVP players, who are in part the majority, if not generally the whole market buyers.
Do Dev bother to do something about reported player especially cheaters? Saw one speedhack player in BG months ago. Yet, after server merger, see him in my server and STILL happily using speedhack in BG recently. 100% speedhack cheater as he was flying all around in BG with abnormal speed. Experienced player will know he cheated.
We’ll have no choice but to use them until they fix it.. higher ranks gives bigger percentage to the stats of set pieces.. so should keep ranking them regardless.. what else are you gonna do
good evening friend, I think that reporting the bot was wrong, now anyone is going to want to report players with strange names thinking that it is a bot, greetings😂😅😂
Market is the best right now. You can just buy plat with orbs (susan is increasing their price right now) and buy cheapest gems then the f2p and low spenders can buy the cheapest legendary gems while can be able to sell saphire and aqua by 200 plat each and 100 the rest. Right now, leg gems can be bought from 20k to 30k compared to several months ago which were 64k each and even no stock at all, while the normal gems were sold 400 each and sapphire and aqua were non existent in the market.
You should've added Legacy of the Horadrim to this post, it's the same with that in that it's better to focus on all the other stats first and do life and damage last. It's basically a mirror copy of regular gems in the amount of value they give and the amount of keys you need just to level them, unless of course you choose to spend platinum just for the sake of doing it but unlike regular gems you can't sell the keys to make some platinum as you could with the gems. I will add that prier to the server merger that all regular gems in the market on my server were consistently sold out other then rubies which there was always a few level 1's or a couple level 5's, and now since the merger the market is flooded with gems that are just sitting there.
