the infinity was a great shoe in a sense where it was a very comfortable shoe while performance was not compromised; this has better traction, little higher off the ground but did not compromise courtfeel with better cushion; upper may not be as premium as the infinity but this definitely has more support in comparison.. both are great shoes, just a matter of preference.. i personally cant pick one over the other.. if i need to il pick this just coz of the traction difference..
i wore 9.5 in the ky infinity, it was a bit snug but broke in to the point i was actually able to play with a light weight ankle brace, but the midfoot was too tight to the point the X actually ripped off(which was a good thing) Should i go up to size 10 or just stick with 9.5 which is half size up already for the 8//9?
keep in mind im speaking of the EP version for the infinity and regular version for the 8/9 unreleased.. in your particular situation id actually get a bigger one compared to the infinity just coz this is more snug than the previous model.. this has even more of a supportive structure mid-dorsal portion of the foot coz of the "strap" type feature and then the dynamic flywire to add even more support and lockdown.. if ur strap broke on the previous model, the result will most likely be the same for this or worse hurt your foot in the process.. that said, im hoping it doesnt give you too much extra deadspace lengthwise coz ur going up in size.. at the end of the day the choice is yours knowing what you know from your experience with the previous model and my experience with the previous and current model..
