Loved this video! You can totally make the halibut hat a thing, like Craig has to wear it in every episode until Victoria has no more real halibut. My puppy likes watching your channel the best as she is always looking for your dogs! Great editing as always, love the music choices! The air show photography was really great for your first show!
It was really nice meeting you two at the air show. I hope you enjoy the Challenge coin that I gave to Craig. I had just dove the Al Can to take my son to his base where he flies the C-130 for the AK ANG. If you guys are ever in eastern Iowa give us a call. We love the channel. Very nice folks.
Good to see you guys having a great time, as many times I have been to Homer, I have never not had the wind blowing, every time. You found the hidden swings, it is so nice there, probably my favorite place to go. We live about 5 miles from the Eagle River campground, I hate to tell you, the building you were next to, is a wastewater lift station. Love the videos. Safe travels.
lol we thought it might be something like that with the smell that was coming from it. It really was bad on one side but not really bad on the other, so I guess it worked out! 😂
My first airplane ride was to Ft. Knox for Basic training in 1970. Thanks to my neighbors for volunteering me (the draft). Rosie and I had our Brinkley to Alaska last summer. We just got home from Indiana where Royal RV did two recalls on our unit. All is good. We are enjoying your adventure. Burlington Bill here and on You Tube with some tunes.
For as much as you guys are on the road, I can’t believe you don’t have a rapid jack they’re only like 60 bucks many outfits make them, either pull forward or back up, raises the opposite tire easy Peezy
I have been watching your U tube channel for a while. I also watch Open Roading. You are 2 of my favorite channels. I was so excited when you both announced that you were going to Alaska together. It's a place I've always wanted to go, but due to life and now health, I will probably never get to go in person. So, getting to see it through both of your videos has been great. Thanks for the amazing videos.
Hello from Australia. Just watched the part where you hitch up. In Australia it’s a golden rule to cross your changes so if it comes off the hitch it nestles on the cross over changes
It's the same here, but only on bumper pulls, not gooseneck. If a gooseneck comes loose, I think the tailgate and truck will catch way before the chains would.
Craig you are so right about the Halibut Hat being called a flounder hat when you get back south. You will need to sport that hat when you make it over the east coast this winter.😂
I liked bear hat better but the fish hat is cool when he wears the ball cap over it. Fish sandwich… it don’t get much better. Craig doesn’t know what he’s missing. Love the thunderbirds. Seen them years ago when I worked at Air Force station
I'm thinking the days of just winging it for RV sites in Alaska are over. Will require lots of planning and reservations. $20-$30 for no hook ups in a parking lot. Thunderbirds were good to see. I saw them all the time when I was stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas.
Glad you experienced the air show. I have been to about a dozen myself,I spent 25 years in the military and 23 of it was in the Air Force. In my early years I was Army. I was never stationed in Alaska but my daughter has a girlfriend stationed where you saw the airshow.
Catching up on your videos. Love 'em. Had a good laugh when you were making sandwiches and you said "I've been eating on this for weeks". As a Yankee who married my beautiful North Carolina bride 40 years ago, that's one of the first "Southern" phrases that I've always laughed at.
LOL you have just made me realize that it's a southern phrase, I've never even thought about how it doesn't probably sound like a normal thing to say to everyone. Thanks for joining us on our adventures!
Love the bennie! When we were stationed in Alaska we always watched the air shows. Ps. Craig looks like a soldier with his haircut plus at an airfield.
Great video! You both are a hoot! The fish hat is now an icon for Wild RV life. If anyone asks you why you are wearing a fish hat, you can reply "just for the Halibut" :-) Really like my Gen-Y. If no pickup bed camera, use a HF telescoping magnetic pickup tool placed a few inches in front of the hitch ball, extended strait up. I can use my rear view mirror to backup and align the handle of the tool with the Gen-Y. if needed, paint or tape the tool handle a bright color for contrast. Thank you for the scripture verse at the end - God bless your journey together.
Looked like a very fun week along with your work schedule. Oshkosh Wisconsin has an awesome air show, EAA Airventure Oshkosh towards the end of July each year. Nice to see the pups having fun also. Stay safe and healthy. I wonder if you opened up the top part of the hat if it would fit one of the dogs as a sweeter.
Great video of the air show!! Good thing you guys came up behind to help with the tire! My Wife said to smack him for the sandwich comment! Lol only because I do the same thing to her in our class A while we are driving.
Love that y’all are traveling together, my two favorite channels. Craig I agree with you ain’t wearing a darn fish hat! Joesph got the better gift with the syrup. Victoria you should have gotten him a hoodie from Homer. Thanks for sharing your adventures take and be safe!
So much fun! Thanks for showing some "free" activities and the realities of trying to find campsites!! Love the Halibut hat, hope it keeps you warm when you're back in the lower 48!! Safe travels!
Rosie and I stayed on the spit several times on our three trips to Alaska. There is an awesome scenic drive just out of Homer around the bay. We saw Moose and other wildlife along the way and an awesome park full of wildflowers. The views of the bay and mountains was stunning. Have fun. Wear the goofy hat. Burlington Bill busking on the road and on You Tube.
Fabulous content and video! So positive and uplifting...such a treat for a 69 year old...to watch...and imagine being there...love the informative information on looking after your RV too! You keep it so light and happy, even when you encounter something stressful...YOU manage it beautifully! Love your new Halibut Hat!!! and Hair cut! You are both lovely and i enjoy watching your videos!!!!! I just subsrcibed this month....very informative as well...so educational...and entertaining too! Thanks for doing this! Love your dogs as well and the care you give them! Just pure love!!!!!! Loved the air show as well...and all your adventures!!!! Thankyou for putting this into our homes!!!!! on video!!!!!!
We are from CT and were also at that airshow on Saturday. We were in Anchorange for three weeks but not with our TT. Our daughter and son in law live on the base. We visited a lot of the same places you did, and we can't wait to go back.
I had to put on my Homer Spit hat while watching this, mine is just a baseball cap I got at the Homer Spit campground. I like the halibut hat. LOL Beautiful area for sure. Plus, with two axel trailer just use leveling blocks to raise the tire you're not changing.
😂😂 “Wash them dishes” Craig’s offensive line! You two are the best 🙌☺️ I really liked the fish beenie Victoria, but at times guys can be a little silly, like wearing it only in the RV 😅 NICE AIR SHOW, ohh and Craig’s hair cut
Years ago I worked in the Gulf of Mexico on oil platforms. It would be 20 degrees outside and the deck hand on the workboat would be walking around wearing a pair of cutoffs and flip flops! And they wonder why at the age of 40 years old, they look like 70 years old!
Craig, I don't suppose you and Joe noticed the "Husband Waiting Bench" along the Homer spit, I am quite sure its there for a reason !. I was in Alaska on my own back some 18 years ago and ended up on the spit simply because my dad and step mom talked about going down there when they drove up to Alaska some years prior. I walked along the boardwalk in front of the shops but had little interest in going into any of them as its its very touristy and a lot of it knick knack semi useless crap to me but the women just love it .... oh god the fish hat, I rest my case 😁
Looking at all the rain reminded me of when we were in Alaska. I looked up Alaska in the dictionary and the definition was MUD. We had mud all over the van and the camper.
Bummer! Our group was staying at the Heritage campground and the air bnb on the spit (above one of the shops) when you were there. I was kind of keeping an eye out for you guys. Lol Homer is one of my favorite places. I was born and raised in Anchorage but moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho a few years ago. We live just a few minutes from that bike bridge you got hurt on. 😮
