OMgoodnes, single-strand knots are the worst! This is a fascinating solution to single strand knots. I think I tried vine-wrapping in the past but it did not work as well for me however I might've been doing it incorrectly. I will try this again. Great video sis!!!
Naturally _Nica has beautiful hair. I watched her doing the vine wrapping and there's another young lady named Naturally High who also uses the same technique. I actually started watching Naturally High first before finding Naturally_Nica. Both of these women have beautiful hair. I don't have 4c hair nor is it as dense as theirs but this technique probably could be used for most natural hair types. I have fine strands with medium density. My length is slightly above my bra strap and I too have those single strand knots. It's a great technique so thank you for sharing your experience. You have beautiful hair as well and offer really great insight. Take care and God bless.
Right! I think I remember watching Naturally High talk about this but it was years back and didn’t really sink in as it has now. Maybe because I couldn’t give it an actual name🤨🙈. Thanks for the compliments and for supporting my content!😍
It definitely does but I find that keeping the hair grouped, clumped, tucked… works better than just stretching for me. What method do you use to stretch your hair?
Stretched & moisturized. Have the revair works perfect. Moisture the last 3rd of my end daily. Also removing shed hair...this is usually what gets tangled in, causing the knots. Will try the vine wrap as well.
I have been doing this for a number of years. I didn’t know others did it. The only time I stopped was when I tried that 30 day detox. I paid dearly for straying away from what worked for my hair. Love your videos.
DEFINITELY a GameChanger as this method helped to retain more length over the last few months! I am now past 12.5 inches post bc 3/31/20 WOOHOO and looking forward to increased retention! I am currently wearing some DIY individual crochet faux locs that are EASY to remove and a month DEEP tomorrow! They look great with age and feel WONDERFUL! Keeping them until the sxhool year is done (weekend before June 22). Gonna stunt on the job for the last few days 😅😂!
Hi. Thanks for sharing your experience with this style. Do you still wear your hair in a bun with vine wrapped twists? I always felt vine-wrapping on its own is enough protection for your ends when in twists, whether it's in a bun or whether it's left the way it is.
@@Ifeoma_Gift not sure if tis question was for me. Vine wrapping is protection enough true. I just do the bun for styling and moisture preservation purposes
I learned that @ Bubs Bee years ago she called it hanging bantu knots it doesn't matter what you call it it's a good idea to keep ends protected and moisturized. 💕
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this information with us! I never heard of this term but it sounds like it’s the same thing as hanging Bantu knots, maybe. Can someone either confirm or deny this please? TIA for your reply 😊
I love Naturally_Nica and have recently been vine wrapping my ends again after watching her video. I used to cocoon my ends which is very similar but not to protect my ends, only to create a certain look for my ends. So this was a good reminder that I can get that wonderful curl at the end and prevent SSKs all at the same time 🥰
@@nathaliewiltshire7092 if you are getting a lot of SSKs with hair that won’t even get into a bun then something Elise is the problem. Dry hair, manipulation, keeping the hair shrunken, lubrication etc. I have already recorded a video to provide other ssk solutions and help you troubleshoot so look out for that 😘
@@CoilyDiaries thank you for replying! I'll try the other method, gotta keep trying until something sticks 😂 have a blessed day and keep up the good work xx
🎉Try using a strong 💪🏾 edge control or hair gel on the ends 🎉 shampoo, Moisturize, leave in, edge control on the edges & ends. Voila🎉 Just never dry brush or comb her hair. Use some cream first.
