I'm sick of parents blaming others for their kids damaging public property!! My mother told me to always stay put when in other people's house or in church or other public places! To this day I can't talk in libraries or throw trash on the street!! If you know that your kids don't have basic manners you shouldn't take them to places like the museum or art exhibitions! Basic common sense
Parents should be responsible 100! Im sick and tired of parents not watching their kids and letting their bratty kids run all over in stores, museums, malls etc. Pay attention to your kids!
Wanda is a true parent ,... the mom is at fault you don’t let your child/ children run all over bad bad , If the art fell on the child the discussion would be different
I think insurance should pay for 90% of the piece. I would make the parent pay 10% she was negligent and responsible for not looking after her kids. You could see even after the kid dropped the statue she still didn’t see it right away.
Wtf?? If you don't teach your kids to respect the environment and public places you should be responsible 100%! You can't just blame others! Though I do feel sorry for that family having to pay for an overpriced piece of crap!!! Oops piece of art ............
No, you take you kid to a place where they have expensive things and you let your kid run around like you ain't even there. So your kid is touching everything, JUST LIKE YOU ON FRIDAY NIGHT...AT THE BAR...OR LETTING EVERYONE TOUCH YOU... FRIDAY NIGHT...AT THE BAR. But think about it? You're going to pay for what you do Friday nights. So why shouldn't you pay for what your kid does? Just cause you don't know how to raise'em, don't mean the rest of us should have to pay for'em.
who says the art is WORTH 132K. how is that even assessed. it is a gross amount of money to have to pay for anything, even a house, but at least that would be the market rate in some instances. this is just ugly and rapacious. also wasn't the piece insured. what is this crap 135K. what is that shit if it was insured. second obviously it was not well secured. i think the parent should pay SOMETHING, but not for the rest of their fcking lives. they should pay something punative for letting those children go wild in a public place. the parent should freaking sue for the piece not being well secured, in a public place where children could get fking hurt. bullshit. such bullshit. who is responsible for putting the piece out there in the first place like that
