GIRLS. If you have been with Nicole since the beginning like I have, you ALREADY know she is all about: Big, BIG hair. Extensions. Lashes. Tanning And bright lips. So don't hate. Don't give her shit. She might get paid but if you are a subbie and watch her videos don't complain. She's doing it for us.
So I've watched a ton of videos reviewing hair extensions and how to videos, etc etc, but for whatever reason, this video is the only video I've watched that made me want extensions like right now haha. That thickness is amazing.
A way that I've found to avoid getting a lot of knots at the nape of your neck is to take that very bottom piece of your real hair, twist it and pin it with a bobby pin. That way the bottom weft doesn't have any hair to tangle with... if that makes sense.
GIRLS YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS DO NOT HAVE TO SHED!! Seal the wefts with fabric glue (make sure the glue is water proof and dries clear)! Apply the glue to each side of the weft and I kid you not, your hair will NOT SHED. Just search on youtube for "How to seal wefts" Hope this helps :) I just started sealing my wefts and my extensions do not shed. Maybe a couple strands a week!
I like that you're knowledgable and extremely smart. I also like that you talk fast because I get bored easily when others are slow, so thanks for being you.
I'm not even into hair extensions, but I still watched this video just because it's you haha I seriously love you and all your videos Nicole! You are definitely my favorite person to watch on youtube!
I have my own hair extension company. Tell your subbies to seal the wefts (tracks) of the hair with dritz clear glue from walmart. It minimizes shedding. There are lots of vids. Look up "seal wefts" on RU-vid.
Commom sense: Everyone who negatively reviews bellami hair extensions are average consumers. Nicole is a beauty guru who gets paid by companies like bellami to advertise their products. (Duh! This youtube thing is her job.) Average people says, "Bellami hair extensions suck." Nicole says " No. They're all lying. Average people are just too stupid to take care of them properly." Viewers say "thanks nicole. You're so honest. I just ordered mine." *face palm*
Question I've always had about extensions. Can you see the wefs in the back of your head if you part your hair in the middle and out it all over your shoulders?
I saw all the negative comments after I bought my hair n was really bummed...BUT...they're awesome. I'm not a super regular wearer or them however but am in love with them n don't regret buying. Thanks so much for this video..Learnt some things!!
Nicole...just a little bit info...all hair that is out of your scalp is dead. That is why is hurts when hair is plucked and we don't die of pain when we got our hair trimmed. Same with nails also. Other than that, GREAT video!
I'm extremely knowledgable on hair extensions and this video made me extremely confused. No I don't have as much hair extensions as you, but I've tried so many brands. I ordered the Lilly hair from bellami and they are absolutely the worst extensions I have ever own. Yes, it's normal for extensions to tangle, but with the Lilly hair I brush them and then seconds later they are tangly as hell! After straightening them maybe three or four times and now they feel like straw. I wish these extensions were worth the money but their not and I'm so upset about it! I'm embarrassed to wear the extensions out because they shed like hell! I contacted bellami and they never got back to me. If you try to constant them with a complaint they ignore you, but if you go to them with compliments they will be your best friend. It's ridiculous! I think these beauty gurus get new sets from bellami often and that's why they look so nice. I would not recommend them because I got a weeks worth of wear out of them and now their back in the bag they came in. Anyone else feel this way? Did I just get a defective batch?! Ugh!
I have found RARE-Virgin-Hair brand to be the most amazing quality hair, BY FAR. I have compared them to over 23 other brands and/ or manufacturers, and not only are they the best I've come across, but their also very reasonably priced. www.RAREvirginHair.com
There are some companies that deliver hair CLEAN & ready to wear, for Example: www.RAREvirginHair.com ,,, but not all companies. Most of your "TRUE" Virgin/ Remy hair will arrive clean. It's ALWAYS best and safest to wash hair, or at least RINSE it first anyway, before wearing it.. Un-sanitized hair can cause many serious infections and scalp problems. Furthermore, a silicone coating is added to many cheap & low grade hair brands, in order to temporarily give it a silky look and soft feel. This coating easily rinses off during the 1st washing & often turns the water "muddy brown". It looses it's luster, doesn't lay right, and matts & tangles easily. (Don't be fooled by CHEAP HAIR or Grades higher than 6A) @ Kaitykait20
I bought the 22 inch bellissimas 3 weeks ago&they are by far my favorite extensions, I've purchased a lot of different brands&fyi they All shed but these are by far the best quality I've ever bought! I've had them for 3 weeks&have dyed them twice already&they are still perfect. All I did was seal them w some fabric glue that I bought at walmart&holy mother of Jesus they are PERFECT! Lol&they don't even tangle(:
Your hair is dead once it leaves the root, the root is the only part of your hair that is alive hence that's where the hair grows. All your visible hair is technically dead. Food for thought, love you Nicole :)
I have long, decently thick hair, so i have not used extensions but i find this video very informative and it has opened my mind to possibilities of hair extensions in the future. Thanks a bunch!
Girl ive been wanting to buy some bt aswell i read alot of people complain about them of how mucht the shed & they get so ugly in a month or so, are your extensions in great condition still ? Im juhs trying to get some opinions before purchasing them. Your answer would be helpingful.
It can be hard being a woman. Feeling beautiful and feeling good enough. You do such a great job at uplifting and propelling the people that support you. You're such a bright light in this world. I truly look forward to your videos each week. I get my popcorn and hot chocolate ready to go!! With love... from PA
I've had my extension for 10 years, yes 10! I originally wore them for my prom and then cleaned them and then left them for 5 years then recently brought them out again and attached them to clips. I love them I got them in downtown LA at a hair emporium for 160. I love them amazing quality.
You are so thorough and I love your personality! Your videos seem real and fun to watch. Thanks for sharing! I would love to see you do more hairstyles with clip in extensions.
Just got my bellami's in the mail last week! They r PERFECT! Couldn't b more happy💘thanks Nicole for all the advice and giving ur tips on the extensions. Hope u had a relaxing fun time on ur vacation✈️Glad to see u back making these videos gUrl🎥
VERY dissapointed in my Bellamis. I sent back my first set and was sent another to only be dealing with the same issues. RATTING! I also had multiple clips start to fall out within weeks. It seems that some people get great sets and others dont. ALL sets should have the same quality. Nicole, I know you take pride in making sure your viewers get the same quality as you. Sadly, I do not believe this is the case for Bellami. Huge waste of money unless you are willing to take the risk of getting a decent set
I'm thinking about getting my first set of hair extensions. Since you are the first beauty guru I started watching...I'll have to go with Bellami. Thank you Nicole!
I do respect you and your videos. I don't mean any disrespect with what I'm about to say. However, as a follower, insinuating that almost everyone is lying about a negative experience with bellami (your followers, specifically) is not something you should be doing as a guru. It's a bit disrespectful. This video was the reason I bought bellamis (along with big named gurus, even not big named ones). It was a complete rip off. They didn't even last for two weeks. I washed them once with high end cone free, sulfate free, yada yada yada and they gave out on me. I even air dried them. This was after my experience with Luxy (we won't even go there). Shedding was the LEAST of my problems. Melting to my straightener, so dry and matted to the point of no return.. just awful. I do think everyone's experience is different, and hey, if these worked for you and anyone else, awesome - but if you see the consistent pattern being shown on the comment threads of anything bellami, then it seems a bit shiesty that the majority of average consumers receive terrible sets of hair. Bellami does not seem like a reputable company. Again, no disrespect, but please refrain from disrespecting your followers who have had a different experience.
+Marta Joy girl do not listen to her, she is complete liar ! first of all idk why is thw world you would blow dry your extensions not recommended at all ! but bellamis are awesome quality!! i have two pairs and dyed both of them and they are in excellent condition! still soft, shiny and voluminous. of course you're gonna have shedding its inevitable, but very little. bellami hair is a great investment
+Raquel Angelic wow! I appreciate your reply. I take everything with a grain of salt on the web. But Thank you. Actually I did some research and bought hair straight from a supplier in China. 300g of hair for only 120! So far I am happy. The hair is virgin unprocessed and comes in a natural color but it can be easily dyed (because it's virgin) and I made my own clip-ins! :) Like with any company, sometimes you just get a bad batch. I wasn't going to risk that for how much Bellami charges.
Raquel Angelic Hey, girl, that's awesome that they worked for you. Like I said, everyone's experience is different with them, I've just had a bad experience and saw a consistent pattern of reviews that they were terrible. But I'm sorry to inform you that none of what I said was a lie - but if you'd rather jump to that extreme, that's cool, too.
HOLY HAIR!!! No wonder so many people have a hard time deciding what or where or who to buy hair extensions from??!! I think just like everyone has different hair of their own, depending on how you take care of ( brush, wash, sleep in, dye, store, style, etc. etc...) your own set of extensions are going to be different from one person to the next! As always GREAT vid Nicole! Missed your lil self while on your fiesta! Hope you had a great time :) B-YOU-t-full girlie!
hah girl I been using weave for years and yes I used good ol' Fray Check (weft sealer) on my Bellami extensions and guess what?...still shedded like craaaaazyyy. Never washed them, always stored them in a silk case nightly, brushed w/ a loop brush, NEVER used heat and this weave was a damn bird's nest in 2 months. wut lol. Total trash!
+MIZZ COMPTON Ggg Are you serious? That didn't happen to mine. It fixed the shedding problem really quickly. I carry a detangling and leave-in conditioning spray with me. That way it doesn't become a rat's nest. If you haven't tried that, maybe give it a try? 😊
Bellami hair extensions was seriously the WORST brand of hair I have ever purchased. The first few weeks they were fabulous! But after the first wash they completely went down hill! I tried everything from deep conditioning treatments to cutting off the dead ends and they seriously became unmanageable. To the point where when I wore them on Christmas they shed so horribly the dog was rolling around in the hair! I love your knowledge & input on hair gurl! But I wish the crappy extensions they send out could be addressed also! :/ ..still looking for an amazing hair company if anyone knows any! I think I'm to the point where I'll just make my own! Thank you for the video though gurl!!❤️❤️
OMG THANK YOU so much for making this! I really want bellamis, but I was scared to get them, but your video has reassured me so I'm totally gonna get some.
I am so dissapointed with bellami. I have ordered from them twice because everyone says they are so goo. They are awful! Both times, they just matted and turned into coarse hair after the first wash. I only ordered again because I thought I did something wrong. Then I ordered from My Fantasy Hair, and the difference was like night and day. I am warning, you don't want these extensions. When I got My Fantasy Hair in the mail, I washed them right away. They have held up so long, and I haven't seen extensions like these ever. I have been a hairstylist for 8 years, and I have been around a lot of extensions. Their customer service was amazing as well, which is also why I am telling everyone to spend your money on MFH! You will regret bellami just like I did TWICE. They are so expensive, and it sucks that you cant see the hair before you buy it. Been there, and I know how it is. Maybe these were once good extensions, because I have seen them on camera. But I got something totally different.
I have the Bellamy Magnifica. I love them. I haven’t noticed much shedding. My actual hair sheds more. I got 240g 24 inches, and they don’t tangle as bad as people say either. I think something that helps, is not putting product, namely hairspray, in your extensions. Honestly, extensions hold curl so well, you really don’t need it! I think if you’re putting a lot of hairspray in your extensions, it could have a lot to do with tangling. Just a few tips. 😊
Maria Rios I guess she has the ones from Luxury For Princess. Honestly, they are the best out there! Superthick, no shedding or tangling, double drawn etc. They currently have a discountcode for the girls who are interested, it's: imane. You can use it at checkout at www.luxuryforprincess.com. xx
BOMB ass review darling! I want the Bellami hair but started watching the bad review vids on them and they where swaying me to not buy them! But like you-I have tried many brands-none are perfect! Thanks so much for the review. I trust you 100%
the problem isn't with the hair when they first arrive, because they're amazing when they first arrive. I loved my bellamis at first. and with minimal wearing, they only lasted 3 months and fell apart to complete crap.
It really sucks that that happened to you! Iv had my bellami extensions for over a year and they still look beautiful and thick. It's weird that for some they are crap but for others they are fantastic.
THANK GOD someone dispelled the crap that is going around! I just ordered my first set of Bellami extensions (on your recommendation) and was pretty upset to read so ms any negative comments about them in Instagram!
I would love extensions but 1) am worried about damaging my hair 2) am worried I am too old for extensions. Still, I dream as they make you look gorgeous! ♥ Elle
Heather James Actually, clip in hair extensions do damage your hair over time. If I put then in and took them out within 30 minutes (like just for doing YT videos) it probably wouldn't be too bad but, to wear them all day would damage your hair. I have talked to several stylists about this and unfortunately, it is true :-( As for never being too old - thank you so much for the encouragement :-)
Hair extensions will damage your hair depending on the kind. Clip in's, beaded and keratin bonded won't do anything thing though, they are probably the healthiest methods for hair. Anything such as sew in's or glued hair will damage it because your hair can actually break off from being braided tightly and glue, well putting any type of sticky bond in your hair they has to be viciously combed out isn't good for it.
Okay. Just so every one knows! You're hair is "dead" already. It does not die when you cut it off. Your hair is just protein from your body that sprouts from your head. Just like your finger nails. Whether your hair is attached to your head or you're wearing extensions, know that it is not a living organism. It does not die because, it was never alive (or dead) to begin with. The reason hair sheds from extensions is because it is quite difficult to sew in every single hair strand into those wefts. Some hairs will fall out. If you are good at sewing you can reinforce the hair some by sewing the hair to the wefts with some like-colored thread. It wont help keep all the strands in but it is likely to help if you do it right. I can't help but laugh when she says your hair dies when you pull it out of your head. I know she's probably a smart girl but, she's "dead" wrong about that bit that she talked about.
I loveeeee watching you (first and foremost), and you're very experienced but I'd have to disagree with you! A GOOD set of sellable hair should not tangle the way my set of Bellami hair tangled! The hair became so plastic like, as if it contained synthetic fibers (which BAD hair companies use to try and get away with not selling real hair). You're lecturing people that complain as if we're making everything up and being unreasonable. I've tried VERY good hair companies that can assure quality hair to EVERY customer. I take VERY good care of my hair extensions and I expect better quality from clip ins because hair for sew ins receive more damage cause we sleep and wash with them in our hair. I was excited cause they blended with my hair, and then this company ended up on the bottom of my list cause I didn't even get 2 months use out of my hair.
Girl I'm am sure if we could be apart of the Bellami Team we would be!! If you only purchased I set prior to becoming a Bella...who cares!! You love them, you speak the truth and that is all that matters!! Love You!!
I would love to purchase some Bellami extensions but they r soooo expensive. Do u have an affordable alternative company u can recommend since u have tried so many different companies?
all of you have to think about where the hair comes from whose head it came from and what type of hair it is. Some of you say you washed it and it became worse then what it was, first your not suppose to wash extensions with shampoo for the fact that the hair doesn't replenish itself like our natural hair does your suppose to wash it with conditioner so it wont dry out. If it does become tangled that's because it might be dry as hell so put a little bit of gloss serum of a bit of argon oil. This is real hair people take care of it like you would with your real hair!
Girl.. you read my mind. .again....lol..I just purchased these ext. On Friday. .and I was looking for reviews on them..and here you are ..! Thanks for all the info!
I love u but I'm sorry I had Bella mi extensions and they SUCKED ! I had them for a week and the second week they were tangled and knotted in a ball ..
Thank u for this...In shirt I see girls complaining about their extensions and during the whole video they're yanking literally yanking and pulling on them. They need to be treated with care. I have used cheap sally beauty ones and they have lasted and I make my own with premium hair , add oils, etc I treat mine with care and they last :) great video and thank u for shutting people up!
You're one of my favorite beauty gurus and I love your videos! I trust your opinion and although I don't normally leave comments, it just bothered me that yes, even though the hair on your extensions is dead, so is the hair that grows on your head. As soon as it grows, and grows, and grows, it is all made up of dead cells.
It's unfortunate that as a representative of this brand you come across as disingenuous. Can't really trust a review to be completely non-biased in this situation.
I love her but I can't back her up on bellamis. She made a quick review on other brands and luxys being one of them (they are terrible by the way). She stated she disliked them cuz they matted really badly on the nape of the neck amongst other things. And those are the very things she is defending on the bellami's! That's a big no no. Now it's like, can I trust her other reviews? Sucky...
Well white girls kinda wear it for style and stuff they actually have hair that can grow but black girls actually wear it cuz they need hair lol so there is a difference 😄
I love my Bellamis...I just have the hardest time getting them to blend with my shoulder length hair. Looks like I'll try out the dry cut! Hope it works!
No offense but it makes me mad when girls who have perfectly good hair try to enhance it even more. I'm currently losing my hair and I'd kill for a normal head of hair, whether it's 'thin' or not. I'm just saying, as women we need to count our blessings and stop trying to overcompensate with beauty lol.
Perfectly good hair to you might not be the same as everyone else. If someone with long thick hair wants to wear extensions it's not a bad thing. If they like it and it makes them feel good then who cares
I'm not condemning Nicole I'm just saying the beauty community gets a bit overboard. There are girls like me who are actually losing our hair. Thin hair is not a big deal, it's better than a bald scalp. From the fake nails, eyelashes, hair, we end up being fake from top to bottom. It's like saying the things about our body aren't good enough, we should rock what we have.
Sorry Nicole but I absolutely love your videos and you but these hair extensions are a complete rip off the moment I received mine in the mail I looked at the sample piece and it was perfectly fine then I opened the rest of the package and the hair was completely damaged it look like a million split ends on the bottom of the hair so I cut it for my personal liking and now it looks so much better because I have shorter hair I wouldn't recommend this brand to anybody it tangles like crazy ! I don't think they're absolutely terrible but for the price I felt like I was getting ripped off
sorry for your bad experience but have you considered directly buy from hair extension factory?which surely will cost you less money but with a good quality.
Sydney Maia I mean everyone has bad experiences with hair extensions brand and i first handily can say i have too although in saying this its just better to go out an find better brands haha. Im with ZALA hair at the moment after being with Bellami and seriously it was one of the best finds i have ever had. Their packaging is fantastic, beautiful too. The hair itself was soooo thick from the top to the bottom (end also were really healthy) doesn't tangle and or shed. Quality hair with great value and seriously just so stoked that im not waisting my money anymore on bad brands.
You're so awesome!!! Thank you for putting this video up! I'm considering ordering extensions tonight and I was trying to decide which to get...this video was so informative!!! I feel much more confident about ordering extensions
Great video. Ignore the haters. You are right you cannot elimate shedding but you can significantly decrease it by sealing your wefts. There are many different kinds for a variety of prices so do your research. Also, from my experience, to decrease tangling try deep conditioning for dry and damaged hair. And when it starts to tangle badly the hair is telling you that it needs a co-wash. You look beautiful with and without the extensions.
Your entire life someone will say negative things about you. If it makes YOU feel happy and beautiful than do it, you will never ever be able to please everyone.
I don' t wear extensions but still watch this video because I love your way of editing ...and you are so glamorousss.. I would like to see a video about concealers ...pleaseeee
I absolutely agree with not washing them weekly. I personally buy virgin hair which means its pure with no dyes or chemicals and then i sow the clips myself. So far Ive had my extensions for a year and half. They are good as new and tangle free.
If you don't open the packaging you can send them back! They even have a separate pocket for a tester clip so if you don't like the color or feel you can still get your money back!
I got Bellami extensions like 4 or 5 months ago based on her videos not realizing it could be kinda over hyped. it wasn't until after I ordered them that I watched reviews by people who weren't sponsored, not purposely of course but I got really paranoid. but they actually hold up great, not every set you get is the same as someone else's though, it's sort of a hit or miss but it is good quality. they shed a ton but strangely enough it doesn't make them much thinner, they look as good as they did when I purchased them minus some breakage but that's inevitable
I bought them last month in the 20", 160 gram set, colored them one shade darker and I had a lot of shedding from only one weft (a small, 1" weft). Otherwise, each weft lost only a few hairs but they look fabulous, stayed soft, and are so easy to style!
Hey there! I love your tips! I am a hairstylist and I recommend a cleansing conditioner for my clients with clip in extensions! Wen has one and Sally Beauty has a knock off, its great for monthly- month and a half extension washing :) Not as harsh :D
Interesting video, tho speaking as guy, that seems really weird. Even if I were a girl, I would never consider sticking some fake hair from another person (stuck together with some metal/plastic...) somewhere on my head, when I have normal hair. (Similar to how I don't get how some women feel well with some silicone inside their breasts...) You have beautiful natural hair anyways, so...
I work at a hair store and there's a product called "weft sealer", you just put it on your tracks or your weft and let it dry. It suppose to prevent your hair extensions from shedding. However, I personally never used it, so I can't tell you if it works 100%, but it's something to try for hair extension users.
Well, yes and no. I think what Nicole is saying is that hair is kind of like a plant. If you rip a plant out of the ground, it's going to stop growing, etc. So in a sense, hair is alive when on your head. :)
I have a question. Since my hair extensions get sooo tangly I apply oil on them, it works and makes them smell real nice which helps me avoid having to wash them because up until now I did. Its actually a heat protector but either way its oil, so is it okay to use this??
Omg I'm obsessed and in love with all of ur videos. I absolutely love the way u explain everything. Ur sooo natural in talking and in everything else. Ur also very funny. Love u Nicole. ❤️❤️❤️
The real reason you tubers love Bellami so much is because they get sent new ones from the company every few weeks. Of course they're pretty and wonderful...they don't have time to go bad before another shipment is at their door. Real regular people can't afford $250 every three weeks!I've tried head kandy (lasted a year) dolce vita (7 months, they tapered at the end which I hated) and bellami (they've lasted less than 4 months). Bellamis are double drawn and are very thick, but they lose their quality as the weeks go by. They're so brittle now and I hardly touch them with an iron, hairspray, etc. They don't hold a curl, and they split so badly! I think I'll try hello gorgeous.
No disrespect but I just don't feel like this is acceptable. I'm on my second set of Bellamis that they sent me cause my first set was "defective". But this set is just like the first now. LITERALLY I put them in & in less than a minute it is a HUGE rats nest. I don't even move & it just tangles & gets matted like crazy. I have to bring a brush with me everywhere & it takes like over 10 minutes to get all of the tangles & matting out. Plus a whole bunch of hair comes out. Also, they're no longer soft/shiny. I take EXTREMELY great care of these, I've maybe washed them twice in the 3 almost four months I've had them. I deep condition them for hours, etc. I'm trying to save up now to buy from a new company, if I can find a decent one. Really disappointed. Maybe I'll go back to Sally's, I never had any problems with them. Good luck if you get a decent set. :/ again, no disrespect, not trying to be rude.
I really like my foxy locks latte blonde. I know there is some negative reviews about their company too, but I've ordered 2 sets and have always been very happy with them.
nicoleguerriero fanschannel What is the colour name of the ones you clipped into you hair? Thats my perfect hair colour shade but on there website the photos they have for chocolate brown looks so deep and red.
I'm sorry but I feel like you've been making way too many videos talking about these Bellami extensions. I don't know if you get paid to do so, but it's getting boring. Not hating or anything. Just my opinion.
There are approximately 50 videos in between this one and the previous video where she talks about her hair extensions... so she hasn't talked about them in quite a while I'd say. ;) Besides, some people actually like these type of videos, myself included. :)
I've had the 120 grams for 3 months and they're a bit dried out a bit towards the ends but once I conditioned them they were right back to being soft! I ordered the 220grams for almost a month now because that's more towards my thick hair and they're still really soft and thick. :) so I'm really happy with bellami's hair extensions! It's just how people treat their hair when they have it
