Looks like we are getting close to a time when there will be a pedal, trained to your voice and phrasing, that will have several voices and harmony patterns to choose from for doing backup vocals live.
I've been using AI vocals and stacking etc. The problem though is no matter how many different timbres one uses to make harmonizing vocals (what you were doing was in unison and not necessarily harmonizing) it tends to sound robotic. I guess my point is I with there was some sort of "randomizing" button to where each take can be slightly off timing from one another which would make things sound a lot less mechanical. Don't get me wrong...this is amazing tech. I've been using their other software for over a year now.
Hi, good tutorial, I have not yet found a description for how to use Vocoflex in "standalone." What exactly is meant by this? I mean, how can I use it outside of my DAW? Is it just for change my voice, in realtime, while speaking? Thanks
Idk, to me, as soon as you set it back to your voice after trying the other voices, the character came back and sounded like Bon Jovi for a little while.
Thank you for the excellent video! I'm a bit confused though. Can I use this program to change the timbre of my voice using a famous singer's voice, legally? I'm not talking about identical, I mean just in the ballpark. For instance I'm a baritone with not so great timbre/tone. Can I take a vocal track of the singer from pearl jam and let it study that and contour my vocal to sound similar and it would be legal???I don't want to train and use his voice. I do not want to steal someone's voice, only alter my own tone.
In other words find a similar singer to Peter frampton 😅buy his ai rights and your a pop star . Or you can use these voices included without royalties right? What if I upload ai voice from Udio no one owns it? I do I paid monthly.
if you are singing than it should work. the AI model was trained on singing not speech, so spoken word isn't what this is meant for. Also OBS doesn't have VST3 support, so you'd have to use something like Waves Studio Rack to host Vocoflex
Is there a way to use this software with voice input ? I own a company that needs sales people, I need a female voice but don’t want to have to a hire another employee just for that
Disclaimer : There is zero AI in this product and the fact AI is "needed" to be mentioned to make it sound like it's something new / revolutionary, tells you all you need to know about this plugin
When you import a voice sample it creates a mini model of the voice based on the machine learning programmed into the plugin. That is the AI. please try to keep up 🤣
@@BenoniStudio Yeah, I see you don't really understand what AI implies. There is absolutely no AI in this plugin or nothing about it that could be considered to be AI. It's all programmed and more in the line of things like match EQ, pitch correctors, etc. Stuff we had for ages. It's just forcing the sound to match a pre set target/spectrum. That's why it also doesn't sound that great. We have realtime voice changers/transformers for ages.
@@AndriesdeHaanBy the standards it seems like you're setting for A.I...then sure, NOTHING is really AI or anywhere close to it lol. Maschine learning algorithms are pretty commonly referred to as "AI" now. And the goalpost for what actually constitutes maschine learning is constantly shifting as algorithms advance. A few years ago this would have been cutting edge maschine learning. Whether or not you think "A.I." is a accurate way of describing it depends on where your personal "cutoff point" stands for what is (or isn't) A.I. But that's a philosophical question and is thus pointless for you or anyone else to proclaim what is AI and what isnt...because there's no agreed upon "correct" answer...at all. It's like arguing whether or not a virus counts as "alive". So arguing with people like you're that genius who has finally figured it all out...is just snooty 😂
This may look scary to songwriters with only an acoustic or a piano, BUT it may make it easier to make potentially great songs from home studios. A little revenge for the world's lyricists, no?
Hello, will this plugin let u sound like someone of your choice? instead of choosing a preset that they have avalible? lets say u have an acapella of drake, can i blend my voice to his voice? or even 2pac?
Probably not legally. You can import a sample of literally anyone's voice, as long as its at least about 10 seconds of singing, and it will attemp to match it... But when you do that, it automatically tags the sample with an inaudible watermark that is tied to your identity (you literally have to give them a pic of your driver's license or some other form of ID in order to activate the plugin). That means that if Drake hears his voice on the radio in a song that he didn't sing, and he wants to sue somebody over it, they'll be able to identify EXACTLY who made it and what samples were used.
you can use any voice samples that you have. the law on this is murky, so the disclaimer in the video is to only use samples you have the right to use.

While i appreciate you're libertarian leanings, it simply does not apply to a private company that exists in a world were the music industry sues everyone. Do you have right to know who is in your house? Then you're a fascist! Lol. What about freedom of movement maaaaan! Dreamtonics has to protect themselves from being sued by the garbage music industry who is already suing 2 of the most popular AI platforms. These are realities. Ideology is great - but reality is REAL. FYI, companies who make sample libraires have been watermarking samples and linking them to your account for years. Your account includes your name, address, credit card, etc... I also know of zero lawsuits based on audio watermark built into samples or plugins. AI is a new thing, and companies who make this technology have to at least look like they are trying to prevent using AI to duplicate someone's sound/voice. This is reality.
@@BenoniStudio You're not even good at being condescending, nor do you understand property rights. Dreamtonic's EULA like all EULAs can NOT supersede the stated law in the customers country. Microsoft, Google are many such cases.
@@kalidesu oh I'm very good at being condescending, you just can't grasp it, corn ball. There is no law against KYC. Period. Not saying I like it, but I understand the spot they are in with the music industry suing every new AI company that works with audio. Welcome to reality. Next.
@@mygoogle1525 what "freedom" are you giving away exactly? KYC is implemented in all kinds of business. I guess you don't have a drivers license, bank account, health care, credit card, use dating apps, or own any crypto. You may not like the policy, and that's fine, I wish they didn't have it either. But it has nothing to do with "freedom". And you have to view this through their POV with the music industry suing new AI audio businesses for not providing "basic protections against copyright infringement" Please explain the exact "freedom" you are giving away? It's just wild to me that people think uploading a selfie to a third-party that verifies your identity is "giving away freedom" when these same people upload 4000 selfies a day to instagram or tiktok which sell your data and give you nothing 🤦♂ BTW, I hope you don't use any sample libraries from big players like Heavyocity - because those samples are watermarked and linked to your account! AHhhhhhhhH!
Makes me nervous on how they want to know your GEO LOCATION and put watermarks in your songs and you need to give them your computer info and ip and address and... what the heck? Something is fishy here? Do they want DNA too?
I know it sounds like alot, but if you have an iphone you have already given the same info to Apple, Google, and any other website you visit or app you use. All computers (and other devices, ipads, iphones, etc..) have a MAC address that identifies the device. A User Agent String will identify your Browser, Device Type, and OS Your IP is visible to any website you visit, your ISP also has full access to every site you have every visited. Cookies and Pixels provide even more tracking The next time you do a Google search, scroll to the bottom of the page and it will list your exact location. The "watermark" is no different from Heavyocity that watermarks all their samples for their Kontakt instruments. And it's not just Heavyocity either. This is to prevent mis-use and show the music industry that Dreamtonics is not promoting use to copy artists voices, otherwise they would be sued immediately - just like every other new music technology. The music industry sues everyone. They sued the MP3 player, heck, they sued radio back in the day to prevent radio stations from playing their music! 🤣 *NOTE: I'm not saying the data collection is "great", I'm just letting you know the reality of the situation.
That ID VERIFICATION process is WILD. You need to upload your ID, a selfie photo and/or video...then accept some WILD terms of service. For example... “Automatically Collected” Information. When a User or Visitor uses the Service, we may automatically record certain information from the User’s or Visitor’s device by using various types of technology, including cookies, “clear gifs” or “web beacons.” This “automatically collected” information may include IP address or other device address or ID, web browser and/or device type, the web pages or sites visited just before or just after using the Service, the pages or other content the User or Visitor views or interacts with on the Service, and the dates and times of the visit, access, or use of the Service. We also may use these technologies to collect information regarding a Visitor or User’s interaction with email messages, such as whether the Visitor or User opens, clicks on, or forwards a message. This information is gathered from all Users and Visitors."
pretty much the same thing that happens when you visit RU-vid, you just don't need the selfie. This is how Adsense works btw. Thats why you see ads for things you have searched for. However, if you want to be monetized on RU-vid you do have to provide government ID. This is just how all websites and web services work these days. If these tos freak you out, hope you never visit tiktok 🤯
shouldn't you stop using MIDI then? Because every time you use MIDI drums you have replaced a real drummer you would have needed to hire. Every time you use an Orchestral library you have replaced hiring a whole orchestral section (not cheap either) and renting a sound stage to record in.
@@AdamElteto The watermark is no different from sample libraries that do the same thing without telling you. If you have anything from Heavyocity for example, the samples are watermarked and linked to your account and name, address, credit card, etc... If you buy crypto, you have to complete a KYC process. If you want to drive a car you have to literally have your picture taken and registered with the government. Is that creepy? 2: you have to understand the state of the music industry and the history of the industry. The music industry always sues any new technology. They are already suing two AI music platforms. The watermarking is a way for Dreamtonics to prevent a lawsuit from the music labels by showing they took good-faith steps to prevent unauthorized use. It's just the reality of what has to be done. Don't worry about it, they aren't coming for you or watching every song you create. And if you're a US citizen, they are in Japan... they aren't going to send someone from Japan to arrest you, relax.
AI killing the art in everything that’s supposed to be of human nature, what’s the point of putting any effort in recording anymore if we will eventually listen to robots singing and call that art 😢
