Thank you for the feedback. There are varying degrees of bitten nails. Kiera's aren't as bad as some out there, but she does occasionally bit her nails is she doesn't have anything on them.
I love this real time videos. Makes me realize that i am not slow, i just take longer in the hand painted area. I can take up to 6 hours for a set 🤦♀️ I am thinking perhaps i need to book one day for building nails and then a second appointment for hand painted art.

So, I noticed there wasn't a conversation with the client at the beginning, to discuss what she wanted. Length and shape.. You mentioned later in, you were giving her an Almond shape, and she asks about - what if I wanted lengh, in the middle... But, if she is a brand new client and a nail bitter, we need to have that conversation right at the beginning. 😊
Yes, the information was discussed off camera prior to the video, but I also trust Melissa to give me the best shape for my nails as well as what length my nails can handle after just having bitten them. When I asked about shape in the middle I was giving her a for instance situation because as much as techs try and ask all those questions before an appointment, some clients decide to change their minds during the appointment.
When we are talking about hybrid nails in this video, we are referring to the fact that we are using both acrylic and hard gel together. The free edge built with acrylic and then rest with hard gel.

Zeevo flying insect trap works great for those annoying little gnats i promise! You plug it in, its about 20 bucks with one refill. It has a little blue light they’re attracted to and they stick right on. The first day or 2 u start seeing them disappear… plug it in a spot where its visible and a couple nights later theyre all gone. Hope it helps 🙏🏻 one of my indoor plants got infested with gnats and tried a whole bunch of home remedies, the vinegar bottles, lol this works!
Your so welcome! If you’re building your clientele, I would charge how much of a charge for that length in shape. If you’re full with clients…. it really is a Specialty that you’re offering I would charge anywhere from $15-$25 on top of their set price!😁💅🏻💖🤩✨🙌🏻
Oh my goodness. Lol I thought it was just me with the whole thumb thing. I notice that after I get done with my nails that one thumb is/looks longer then the other because one of my thumbs is bigger/wider then the other! I thought was just me! That my nails are weird or something. Lol. Happy that isn't just me and that it's normal really but now I know what I need to do so that there isn't a difference visually with the length and stuff. 🙂 Oh and I'm sooooo excited to receive my order I made this morning. You know when you said, you can’t fill with acrylic bc you have gel back there? Well, I normally apply a thin layer of gel on my nails before I overlay my acrylic. I do that bc I feel like my nails do better with gel directly on top. I never have my nails on long enough to test the full longevity but when I remove the acrylic in a week, everything is still attached really well.
Yes. But it has fortifier for your nails and makes helps your nails be very healthy. It’s a soft gel, which is the term used often when using soft gel is known as Structured gel. 😁💅🏻💖🤩✨
Watch YN video for proper form placement. There shouldn’t be anything underneath and if there is it’s because he pinched more to make her nails look more narrow and when they grow out and then come back in 2 to 3 weeks you would use under nail bit to clean it, and it would be perfect from there.

We use our 150 grit hand files, cleanse with swipe and then apply protein bond. Protein bond helps fill in the scratches from the file while also helping to prevent chipping/peeling of the gel.
I am curious as to why you chose an Almond shape for her nails? I was taught to put nail bitters into square or squoval, as it's the strongest shape. 😊
As long as the arch and structure is built properly, an almond shape can be a good choice for nail biters. It leaves less corners and it feels more streamlined so nail biters don't tend to pick at it as much. You want to make sure the length of the extension isn't longer than the length of the nail body so it stays balanced and the free edge isn't heavier than the nail body. You also want to make sure you get good form fit and straight lower arches. If all of these things are done, you can do an almond, square or sqoval on a nail biter and it will still maintain good structure and durability.
