Very beautiful and love the pen. I've never seen one like that. Handwritten Calligraphy is a work of art. I just wish my arthritis didn't stop me from doing it anymore. You're so right about going at your pace. When I first had arthritis hit my hands I would try to hurry because of the pain and the pain cause my hand to jerk and I wasn't going slow enough so that I could stop myself from making an error. Now I can't hold anything long without pain. People, if you have a talent (no matter how insignificant you or others think it is,) do your talent... Own that talent and give it your all. Share your talent with the world. Not everyone will be impressed, but there are those that love it. But...if you love doing what you do, isn't that what it's all about?
@@helentee9863 thank you for answering :) If you've come to the place of encouraging others without stupid comparison or competitive thoughts that says much n good for you n those around u,it's a gradual practice, still for me that may be self-love reflected n it's worth it seeing it in those who have worked their way for it, art or not Idk how much u'll get from this but it's ok Good luck Bye
@@christinaastreha Christina, l got a lot,and thanks😊. ❤ It's taken me most of a lifetime to get to where l am about life, and half a lifetime to return to art. That's a big part of where the 'never give up' comes in. I hope you are lucky enough to have an art teacher as truly great as mine. I hope life treats you well. ❤
This is that one rule I keep ignoring😭. I can't work on something for too long. I typically do a digital/character drawing + background in 4 hours and an actual painting in 8 tops. My attention span is very short. If I don't finish something around those time frames it will never get done. I have unfinished drawings from 2 years ago that I keep promising to get back to. I have paintings from 2017 that I still plan to finish😭. Ik it won't be done soon 😭
That is NOT a calligraphy pen.... It is just a tool for hand lettering. Whatever you do with this pen is never actually calligraphy. It is significantly different.
@@bonniejosavland3227 what I mean is it is the artform of drawing letters. Yes it is obvious it still forms written words, but it is different than just writing. Writing is usually done with speed and efficiency, with the goal of communicating as main priority. That's how I differentiate the two things anywho.
Going slow, especially while lettering, is so soothing. I covered my bedroom wall with handpainted quotes, it took me at least 40-50 hours but it was one of the most relaxing thing I ever did 😊
Tell that to my proffesors 🥲, have to complete exams in time, then they complain of my handwriting after I try to answer everything possible in little time
@@hiwelcometochiliswhatcanig3041 see if you have an art supply store in your area. They usually carry items like this beautiful pen, and colored inks, as well as quality paper to work with.
This is super valuable. Especially on social media where things are falsified or edited so smoothly, we legit can't tell x thing isn't perfect or actually that fast. So this is good to know 😊
@@aisforannihilation1662 its a glass ink pen...the kind you dip in ink to use...the swirls in it are what holds the ink when you dip it..works on gravity... ...they are fun to use , just clean well
I was a fine arts major in college and do calligraphy. I hand-lettered most of my cousins' wedding invitations(the guests' addresses) as a wedding gift for them. What you are doing is just so lovely. Calligraphy and just regular cursive are lost arts.
I agree! Unfortunately, handwriting, cursive and even printing and certainly calligraphy are no longer deemed important and therefore, are no longer taught in schools. So sad!😢 Beautiful handwriting says so much about who you are as a person.😊
It would be interesting knowing the tools that you are using for your calligraphy. Also could you send an alphabet of the calligraphy you have created? Thank you😊
I just went to a marketplace in Vancouver and they sell the pen in a crystal booth where the artist teaches calligraphy… hand blown glass art. ❤gorgeous
My handwriting used to be so pretty and neat back in secondary school, 20 years later and it's all over the place. I can barely keep it in a straight line without lined paper 😂
Wait, you used to be able to write in a straight line without lines? Cripes, I've always had problems even with lines .... Then again, I've been told that the most creative people have the sloppiest handwriting. 🤔 I *AM* a crafter and a writer so there's that.
glass pen. Yes, look for Pen Chalet, they carry them. Dip pens are a challenge to use because we have become so accustomed to modern writing tools. Also, check what kind of ink they suggest, some modern inks won't work properly.
