mad props to the creator for putting together such a comprehensive tutorial on building a real-time stock price tracker in Python it's dope to see how the frontend and backend come together however, i think for beginners, breaking this down into multiple shorter videos or segments might make the information more digestible some peeps might find it overwhelming to follow along in one go but again, the effort and clarity are on point! keep grinding
The code is working for the US stocks. For Indian stocks, the stock code contains a '.'. For example, TCS.BO or TCS.NS or INFY.NS. The JS is failing to populate such stock codes. The values are fetched properly, but the problem is in display of stock code and quotes. Can anybody help please?
So is this truly “real time” like how it is on wall street? The reason I ask is because some trading applications charge $50/month for real time stocks application for day trading. So did you have to pay for the Yahoo Finance API?
I didn't get the countdown on the web page and also when fill the block and click on add its not showing me the boxes. What should i do? Can u please tell me rn?!
What could be the most efficient way to ask for the current price? I'm looking at the yfinance docs and I think that the class Ticker gets a lot of info when you ask for the currentPrice. There's no other alternative?
I appreciate that you are uploading these videos but its definitely at the Mid-advanced level of understanding + speed. You really know your stuff but for us folks learning, it moves fast lol
I cover a range of different topics. There are videos, where I go very slow that are targeted towards beginners. In some projects, I assume that the viewers already know the basics of Python / data science.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to seek the services of a professional just like i did when i ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Elaine Vega. I now make huge P rofits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.
I do very much enjoy your content. But this is not real time ! 15 seconds updates with data from yahoo is already delayed by 15mins and 15 seconds. I was expecting something with sockets and async for the real real time experience. Maybe this is sthg for the future .
