I just traded in my 2013 evoque. I bought it used in 2017. I loved the car but that thing was in the shop every 6 to 8 months. My turbo went out twice. $4100 each time to replace. My alternator went out two weeks ago. That cost $1600. My infotainment system also had issues with glitching. Had to have a software update which cost $160. Maybe mine had gremlins or maybe it's the brand. Do your homework before you buy one or you'll be spending money to keep it running.
"If you wanna buy an involved SUV, I'd suggest a Cayenne GTS or something like that for the same money..." Cayenne GTS $83,300 vs Evoque $41,145. Good review though.
Very nice review! I am considering purchasing a pre-owned 2013 or 2014 Evoque and your video has been very helpful in understanding both the pros and cons of this vehicle. My biggest concern is reliability. Can you provide any insights on that?
I got a used Range Rover Evoque for christmas. Since I’m turning 16 very soon my parents got me a used Range Rover 2015. I have seen no issues with it at all so far. They’re amazing cars! Lemme known if you get one :)
Had mine 6 years. Regular oil changes cabin filters New pads new rotors new tires. No issues Guess I’m lucky huh. Update had trans fluid and gear fluid changed. Started to get and exhaust leak. New manifold pipe to turbo replaced. No issues since.
Great review! Enjoyed your attention to detail, and your appreciation of the car. I drove a Landrover LR2, miss it! I thought your banter was cool and informative. You answered all my questions and curiosities. Thank you!
wow.... has turbo lag like a 1990's VW and not the 'dual scroll' of the Ford Escape Ecoboost??.... Everyone knows the RR Evoque has the Escape Ecoboost engine in it. Bad comparison.
