English is Philippines' 2nd language. Signboards, trademarks, etc majority are in English. There are speakers outside the bus. Petron is a Philippine's Gasoline company.
Thanks for the info, some of us actually just don't know and are not being rude (though I'm sure some are). It's great to be able to learn more about Philippines.
I just watched the part of the video where he says that people outside probably can’t understand english 😅 . I was about to say that english is our second language here hehehe . And i like your reaction vids . Will definitely subscribe 🤘🤘
The Philippines have two official languages. Filipino and English. English is the medium of instruction in all levels of school system. The government and private sectors used it. The people outside that Bus perfectly understood the lyrics of her song.
exactly. been to the ph multiple times and speaking only english was never an issue, even a layperson converses english enough to understand and be understood lmao
My thoughts, and I am not defending Ramsey because I don’t know him, when he made the statement I got a sense that he is not familiar with how the bus is set up, neither do I even though I am Filipino, I have never seen the bus in person so I don’t know how it is set up, his thinking that it is an enclosed van and people outside cannot hear what Morrisette was singing and just seeing her head bobbing and moving. There was no hint of judgement and was not meant to be derogatory or racist towards the Filipino audience. The context is benign and straightforward.
My young Facebook friend whose name is Piet Arion from Austria who never had a singing lesson in his life, works at a low paying job unrelated to music and sings as a hobby ( making tribute studio recordings of his favorite vocalists) loves Morissette and when he saved a few extra $$ walked into the recording studio and performed a tribute song for Morissette, her original song called “ akin Ka Na Lang” . Piet’s native language is German and second is English but he has a Philippine friend who spent weeks teaching Piet the Tagalog language and when satisfied Piet sang “ akin Ka Na Lang.” and posted it several months ago on RU-vid expecting a few hundred responses. But from the moment he posted it on you tube , it EXPLODED!!! It now has over 22,000 LIKES and over 4,000 Comments and 99% of the comments are WOW! OMG! BEYOND AMAZING! “ INCREDIBLE! BEST VERSION EVER MALE OR FEMALE!!! ( equal to Morissette’s) . He nails both Whistle notes with as much or more vibrato than Mosissette. By the way, a few people who watched this incredible performance thought he was lip syncing -especially the whistle notes. So to prove them wrong, he performed version 2 and introduces the song from his apartment with a whistle note not from the recording studio. To quell his detractors. Piet will one day become as famous as Dimash-as soon as he starts entering vocal contests like the Voice UK or US which he will win by the largest margin in the history of these shows. I predict you will give his “ akin ka na lang” performance 6 stars out of 5. Al
in case you don't know Filipinos can speak english and understand them thats why Morissette Amon a perfect sample for you that Filipinos can do very well in english.
We keep on speaking without minding the grammatical errors and we are 2nd to the last in reading comprehension. Perhaps what he meant was the bus might be soundproofed that people outside couldnt hear the artist.
Wish Bus is a Radio Bus Station so it's totally 100% LIVE. The people outside can hear the artist inside while singing. You must react to her "Asia's Song Festival 2017" and you'll be blown away by her.
Philippines is the “CALL CENTER” country in the world so there the clue that Filipinos speak English well. You might not know that when you are speaking to a customer care representative via your ATNT, Verizon, Tmobile phone is actually a Filipino! 😅 “STONE COLD” cover from her at myx studio is next, that would be cool! 👌🏻
Filipinos are really good in English, so yeah we actually know what's she's singing. haiiiissssst and I don't know if he's real vocal coach dhaaaa what a waste of time watching this
Yes, most of Filipinos can talk and understand English well. Western influence dominates media in the Philippines and there was even time back in 80s that radio stations need to play OPM (original Pilipino music) every hour or they will be fined. Thus the style of singing will always have the American-Western influence. Great analyzation! 👍 Try to listen and see Regine Velasquez’ What kind of fool Am I (best live concert version) or her Love story (where do I begin).
I recommend you to please watch the whole video first so that you can feel the song then if theres a part of video you like then just take it down note and play it back after you watch the whole video .. its just my opinion 😅
Agreed! A lot of reactors felt what Morissette is trying to say in Akin Ka Na Lang and he's the only one who did not felt it because he always stops the video it's good sometimes but not often. He's really good when it comes to giving vocal stuff but not in feeling the song.
Two times in a row.. Always cutting the song instead of playing it and listen then react after...I think if he react for Never Enough like this, its better to be on Morisette channel.😂😂😂 So annoying chitchat!!!
If you want to hear MORISSETTE voice without microphone check rhia out""""MORISSETTE AMON PROVE SHE DOESN'T NEED MICROPHONE"""..hope you do, thank you.
She is actually singing LIVE and they don't usually make some adjustments and auto tune or something else that would make the performance smooth and perfect. Just like when she sing the "Akin ka nalang" song, it is different from the recorded one (you can see it in yourself on spotify and compare it on your own). 😊
Yes, she can play keyboard and guitar. React to her "Morissette Amon's hidden talents" or "Times Morissette Amon proved she doesn't need a Microphone". Also, Mori has good talking skills in English, Tagalog(Filipino), Bisaya(her province). She's a good host. She's a complete package. 👍💙👏🥰
Morissette is truly amazing. Her voice and emotions pull u into a song with her. U can feel the same emotions as she is projecting. At this time, she's my favorite singer.
Yes she's very amazing! She phrased in her upper belts with ease while sitting. Fake vocal chords? You mean growling technique. Also people speak English in her country smh
Actually everything you said I understand, see, I'm a Filipino, I understand you..so everyone here in here Philippines can understand English language, actually Filipinos are linguistics ❤️ thank you for youre reaction of our dear Morisette
13:18, "she could go for a key change here". That was obviously what she was going for at that point, genius. I mean even people with the less trained ears could hear that in her notes.
Yeah dud..thats sucks! U think that Filipinos are not good in English..better search first before u analyzed..we do understand what she was singing..English is our second language man!!
Oh good. I thought I was being oversensitive, feeling all offended over here. I've lived in the Philippines my whole life and I speak english better than I speak tagalog. This guy thinks only north americans, canadians and brits can sing, speak or understand english? Dafuq.
Thought I was the only one too. No hateful comment but it just got me. As a critic, he can't even immitate the sound nor the key so why do it? Plus a lot of tentative words and statements, like "kinda". Gives me the impression he does not know stuff... 🤔
I'm very thrilled. Thank you for reacting to this videos. Again, i hope you'll reaction to her video from MYX LIVE. I Wanna Know What Love Is and Stone Cold.
Morissette at 23 is my favorite female singer👑😍🇵🇭 her vocal ability is so amazing, for me she's one of the best in the World❤️❤️❤️. Wish Bus is a radio station in the Philippines...... They showcase Filipino Singer....... Mori is the most famous and most view singer on their RU-vid channel...
Im sorry, my head aches when you pause it and give a lengthy analysis. Why not listen to it in full, then breakdown afterwards. You also speak in a hurry so I am also catching my breathe by listening to you. Anyway thanks for appreciating Morisette. Enjoy her other fantastic performances.
You must be new to RU-vid. There are copyright issues. You have to pause in between. I do think he's doing it a bit excessively, but there's no way he can watch it in full first.
@@dennisaguilar7108 I didnt say I dont like his analyses, its HOW he analyze it. I dont question his expertise, I'm pointing out his DELIVERY. I'm watching because I am appreciative that he made Morisette Amon his SUBJECT to analyze. I am HER fan so it matters to me what the VOCAL COACHES say about her. Dont you know constructive criticism? Other vocal coaches do that, watch in full then break it dow afterwards.
@@Rosannasfriend No Im not. I wonder why other VOCAL COACHES also analyzes Morisette but they manage to listen to it in FULL and break it down afterwards and they dont have issues on COPYRIGHT? HMMM.
God bless you more po.
When I check out a music teacher's reaction or a music person's reaction, it is for the purpose of insight or information on what the singer is doing as he sings! I'm not there to listen to the song, necessarily. Thanks for ANALYSING or breaking down what the singers are doing as they sing. I accept and expect you to pause in order to explain what they are doing as it actually happens. Iexpect you to stop as many times as it is necessary in order to give a good analysis of what the singer is doing. You provide informative break downs of this and thank you very much for that. I check out your reactions for that. If I just want to see someone's reaction I don't check out a music instructor, singer or musician's reaction video. Keep up your analysis! They are very helpful. We are all limited and I don't expect you to know everything about other nations, cultures, languages or much less a singer's background. But, reading other's comments I learn previously unknown information, so thanks for other peoples input.
Luv yur review of Mori but just to let you know that all if not most, understand english and can probably hold a conversation in english. You can travel to the most remote areas and still find most can speak english. Also i believe the wish bus is live. There are people outside listening.
Everyone outside listening can understand lol. The Philippine educational system requires Tagalog and English and are both the officially used languages (also their local dialect). We’re the most westernized out of all Asian countries lol.
English is their 2nd language in the Philippines. Most schools teach with english text books. When Morissette speaks english she has very little Philippine accent. She speaks 3 languages fluently as well.
Bawasan mo yung nakakainis na facial reaction dami mo pang hanash 😂✌🏼. Google can't translate my comment accurately but dont worry learn tagalog so you can understand, too bad we can understand you
Thank you for reacting to Mori's rendition of Rise Up. You're critique was right up there, it was on target. Yours was the one i appreciate the most. I don't know why but everytime i listen to her especially this song i tear up. Anyway more power dude.
