No. Only a tell on freshly produced shoes. Retails have time to air out before being boxed, reps are boxed right away and sent out. The smell dissipates over time, they end up the same.

@@REJR90 Yeah, I just mentioned that because it’s an easy way to tell if you got real or fakes. What I really want to know is if there is another color under the top layer of the shoe on the fakes like there is on the real pairs.

I cut a pair up to see. The cheap, early version didn’t - but the new version does have the same layers.
