Just a quick little video this week about a longchamp le pliage tote I found at a local thrift store! Or rather, the two that I found-one authentic and one… decidedly not. I do not endorse counterfeits, but since this one was found already used at a charity thrift store, I didn’t mind spending the odd $3 to film this little comparison for you 🙂

I guessed the purple was the real. Boy, was I wrong! Having two Longchamp bags to compare I might have been able to determine a fake but if I had only seen one I probably would have assumed it was real, not knowing it is a brand that’s been duplicated. Thoroughly enjoyable and informative video! Thanks!

Good find! I bought Longchamp tote bag & backpack for 65% & 40% retail price (compared to the Longchamp online site) at Marshalls. $89 & $99 each in classic dark grey & navy colour. Many people who shop at Marshalls don’t seem to know the Longchamp brand so the stores marked them on clearance.

It's getting hard to spot fake ones this time since they outsource their products in different countries now. Had I not bought mine at the website it could easily passed as fake. Bought two from them and one is made in china and other is from vietnam. The differences are unbelievably huge.

I have one in clay. Everything looks real but the three digit color code after the 089 is “A59”. I hope it’s not fake. I haven’t even seen that color code anywhere for Longchamp 😞

What is it passes all the other tests but it isn’t lined? It’s real leather and has all the details you mentioned but it’s not lined in the inside

Hi, I can confirm that they do. The first repair is free and any subsequent ones cost a small fee, for example a (second) zip repair cost me €25.

Hi very helpful video & thanks for it. Just FYI I think those rips and tears in the real pink one can be fixed for you if you dropped it in a Longchamp shop. I got mine fixed in Melbourne for free by them.

Thanks for your review. The detail horse on Le Pliage bags are almost invisible. So I have to dissapoint you but both bags are fake. Good luck with thrifting.

Hi, lighting has helped the horse show up better, but also I've brought my bag in to compare it to one in store. They're the exact same. Further, I've been doing this a long time 🙂
