It's the first totally new flagship for Jaguar since India's Tata Motors purchased Jaguar and Land Rover in 2008. Grant Winter takes us for a Real World Test Drive:
Jaguar is like a Land Rover - classy and needs the wood interiors, and not the flashy massive chromed rims that little teeny boppers are putting on them
Okay .... can anyone tell me if I should buy the new jaguar xj supercharged v6 please ? Cos I like it but I don't know if it's good for daily use, long drives on highways, Bears the hot weather?
I have to agree with gimob, Americas auto companies stopped building luxury cars in the 2011 they built the last Cadillac. It's the DTS Platnium Series. I test drove the Cadillac CTS, CTS Coupe. Both junk. As well as that little Lincoln MKZ, that car shouldn't have a Lincoln badge in it. I was driving a Jaguar S Type when looking for a new car mine had turned 15 years old and 150k well loved miles. It was one of the best car's I've ever owned. No problems at all. After having that car being so good another Jaguar was logical. After test driving my now owned XF V8 5.0 Supercharged. After the drive I knew it was ciy home with me. I love the car but I hope my next car will be a XJL, if I have $$$$$$.
Great car and in general the review was pretty good. Some annoying issues as a Brit though. London is great, I'm living there now, but it is irritating when you guys from the US seem to think of it as synonymous with the UK. There's a hell of a lot more to the UK than London! E.g. 5:13 "boot, as they call it in London". No, we call it a boot in the UK, not just London. Also, Jaguar is based in the Birmingham area, not London. And our roads aren't narrow, yours are ridiculously wide.
