Realising the Supermind: The Summit of Sri Aurobindo's Sadhana | TE 502 

Well these are personal things and are best kept private. It is very difficult, near impossible for anyone to speak of Supramental experiences. There is generally a long passage of self purification and freedom from the ego before the Supermind can start working directly upon nature. Sri Aurobindo always cautioned about it. One can have a glimpse of the Supermind through the psychic door but that is a different thing. As to someone being with Sri Aurobindo in his cave of tapasya, well it is difficult to testify it since Sri Aurobindo never mentioned about it. He did have visitation of the gods and goddesses and may be beings from the subtle world. It is not unlikely that certain yogis and rishis came in their subtle bodies and met him but Sri Aurobindo himself never spoke about these things. But sitting in meditation with him physically certainly did not happen as there were few early disciples who were there and such an event would not have gone unnoticed.
