The guys from the first ambush did everything right except the logi guys should’ve dismounted before crossing the bridge. The MRAP taking the lead was the right move but they should’ve waited until he was further across. I know it doesn’t mean much in the end but it’s an interesting thought of “how differently would the ambush have gone if they did that”
No it's not, it's a M-ATV, don't believe me look it up. EDIT : I thought it was useless to specify it, but a M-ATV actually is MRAP (MRAP = Mine Resistant Ambush Protected, which basically means that your vehicle won't blow up when hit by mines or bullets, even tho the game does not include that feature).

Just ask in-game, I don't think anyone cares you are new and inexperienced, as long as you are willing to learn and listen to your squad leader. Try playing medic or the basic rifleman for starters, then branch out to other classes when you're more comfortable. If you really don't want to play with randoms, find a Discord server for Squad, the in-game servers usually advertise their Discord server, then you can try and find a group in there.
Don't run around with a thumb up your ass, that's worse. Just say you're new and ask what you can do. You'll be given a job and if its hard, that's the fun. If you get no response, they too are new and running around with their thump up their ass. Best leave that squad.

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.
