Fun fact: Spider-Man has a power called Superhuman Equilibrium: the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He seems able to adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow THIS is why he's NEVER dizzy while a normal human would lose their LUNCH seeing anything like he does in this vid😭🤣

Id be curious to see how far we could get with real life web swinging. Obviously you’d have to fast for like 36 hours but you can definitely build up the resistance to the dizziness. I was in gymnastics and you can definitely flip more and more without the vertigo as you get more into it. Physics alone would be the most interesting part to figure out.

@@hopefullyanonymous3466 web swinging could never be possible and less all of the web lines were setup for you like a trapeze artist. Realistically if you tried to freefall and swing off a web your arm would come clean off because of the force and speed

@@Pellz right, it would have to be rigged to your shoulder/chest or even have a full body rig for your torso to remain intact. I think figuring out how to not slam into the buildings immediately would be the trickier part.

Dude, this mod makes you realize just how truly dangerous Spider-Man’s main mode of travel is. The level of skill it must take to do this even with spider powers must be insane.

Not really. Pete has a whole subset of powers tailored exclusively for web slinging. He's got perfect equilibrium and his Spider-Sense gives him a perfect understanding of his environment. It's why he never looks where he shoots his web line. It goes where it's safest, always.

Filtering the camera rotation to smooth out all those jitters and spikes would help it feel a lot more natural and easier to play with. Really great work tho!

@@Bruh-rd7tl Move your head and eyes around really fast. It doesn't look like the animations in the video. It's a neat effect for 1st person games or cinematic scenes, but it's not "more natural" lol. Your brain smooths that out in real life so you don't have motion sickness 24/7. What are you talking about???

You’d have to stabilize the "head" for this to be realistic, this is more like the view if he had a camera attached to head, not what he’d see with his eyes.

a middle ground between this and your last video could work well; having the camera's position in the world locked to spider-man's head, BUT keeping the pivot of the actual look direction completely in the player's control.

Also it would be optional content, and if it was designed to be switched into they would tune it to not be so jarring, removing the excessive motion blur and tailoring the speed of things like flips to not make you want to hurl. A mod can only do so much.

although this looks amazing af being a first-person lover, i still think there won't be this much wobbling from Spiderman's POV, mainly because, as we walk jump and run, from our perspective we don't feel this much movement because our eyes naturally focus and adjust according to the movement. And that will be the same case or even better with Spiderman. So, if the movement is stabilised a bit more, it will actually by playable without feeling dizzy ourselves.

I agree with you. ours eyes have to focus on 1 thing not looking around aimlessly. i think if they made the camera is control by your mouse movement not stick the camera in the head model it's would fix the problem

its cool that the mini map and hp bar as well as web shooter bar is probably what pete sees in his digital visor when wearing the mask. Makes this mod all the more realistic. Also i can never get tired of first person POV spiderman mods, always wanted this.

Holy moly , I know it’s something “as simple” (as some ppl might say*) as a 1st person POV in Spider-Man , but in a sense something sooooooo unique & awesome ! Every time I see modern video games, I always think back the the originals and PlayStation 1 graphics. The classic PS1 Spider-Man for example. Which many people loved, and I just finished literally again the other day. Amazing to see something like this, genuinely blown away at this. Awesome work 🖤!

I always wondered why spider-man games dont have this as just a fun addition to the game, even as an update in the future. Almost like steep’s go pro mode, its not optimal, but its fun and immersive

Because most people would get motion sickness and vomit or be really dizzy. In order to make first-person spider man work you would need to get rid of camera shaking and acrobatics like spinning around etc, so more work then you might think to have it work, would go same for combat because spider-man is constantly rotating, spinning around, doing flips, etc. during combat, and still it would be high chance of feeling disorienting and so on. So first person camera lot of work, meaning lot of money that would need to be invested for it, and then still lot of people would probably end up not using it, so big money investment into not much profit

If I may make a suggestion, I would have it so you could toggle having a fixed camera pointing one way and a camera following the ‘eyes’ so players can swap back and forth between making it more immersive or more accessible.
