My favorite instructor. Learned so much from this tutorial. Will take time to practice using it, but loved the vanishing point, matching tones to the background and how to deal with hair.
Thank you for this! The vanishing point and the horizon is a very important reminder for designers to make their composition look realistic thank you for this!
awesome detailed tut, loving your videos and they've helped me so much! just one thing tho... you also need to horizontaly flip the image to be reflected so any text, like that forever 21 store front would look more realistic. Great job nonetheless
Great tutorial! You covered some things I wouldn't have thought of. I think, though, that I thought of something you might have missed. A reflection would be backwards, so the upper image should be flipped horizontally.
Very enriching tuto Jesus. However, as a beginner , I can hardly understand how the inverted image of the street reflecting on the glass can have the same perspective as that of the main image, in our case the 2 girls.
While I get the purpose of this video, the final result is still VERY Flawed. Look at this picture again and ask this question... WHEN Ever is a Side walk Crossing Sign ever 4 to 5 feet above the ground? NEVER. Look at the image of the women, as a photographer. Would you guess that the image was taken standing up? NOPE, unbelievable. The photographer was squatting at best. If that is the case, no way would a reflection exist of a Street Walk indicator ever be at that height, it would be even higher than normal. So this composite is given away by perspectives not matching correctly despite the vanishing line concept. I can see how taking this into perspective while doing a composite is important, however the final image still must be questions for realism.
Very good tutorial on the subject! Thanks for sharing. Tried with couple of my own images and noticed that you need to flip the reflection layer 180 degrees horizontally to make it look even more real. I noticed this as my reflection had some large posters and signs on it and the texts should be backwards if it is a reflection. Keep up the great work! I´ve learned so much from you!
Hi i am an Interior Designer i would love to learn the after effects of 3d rendered interior image in photo shop. Can you please make a video tutorial on how to edit an interior image after 3d render?
To me, the SCALE of the overlaid image (reflection) is more important that the perspective as the perspective is pretty much imperceptible. To me, the reflection seems like everything is really close to the window which would not be the case. The technique itself is wonderful though. Just my $0.02.
I agree. The reflection should be much stronger if you wanted to be more realistic. The outside scene should be more dominant considering the amount of light that there is.
Really Valuable Information. I just loved the way you explained the perspective thing, because I never had paid attention to perspectives much.... Thank you so much and A Happy New Year... 😅 😁
Always love your tutorials. If I have any criticism it that you provide almost too many techniques within a single tutorial making it hard to remember all the steps. Similarly your delivery is always so fast - my ageing brain can't always keep up! Regardless, really appreciate the guidance. Thanks!
NIce tut! Some minutia, the cheaper the glass the greener the tint. Think Coke bottles. Also, you could use some backlight on your hair and shoulders to separate you from the background, IMHO.
Hello, I want to wish you a very happy Christmas and a happy new year 2020 for you and yours. And very especially I want to thank you for all your tutorials that you upload to the channel with which I learn from a great teacher like you. I hope this new year can continue to enjoy and learn from your knowledge in this exciting world of image digital. Receive a big hug.
I notice that with a few other online tutors there is a "circle" of color around the cursor. I find the use of that color to be much easier to see exactly what you are doing. Also I feel that on these complex tuts that it appears that everything is being sped up somewhat making it more difficult (for me) to follow.
Your videos and expertise in photoshop has taught me to scrutinize my editing much more intensely. I can't thank you enough for all that you have taught me.
